I was so moved by these stories I had to comment. I learned after all these years how I was duped into believing I would never get sick if I got all of my vaccinations. In 1953 I got my first vaccination for entering first grade. I don't know if I got any before that. I remember I brought home a paper from school whenever there was a vaccination and made my mother sign it as I knew at the time it was good for me.Since then, as an adult I received Tetanus shots and a shot of something after our son was born as my blood was RH, Type 0. It disturbed me when I saw the video about the Polio vaccine as I recall getting it more than once in my lifetime in a sugar cube.I know of someone who had Polio and it came back and he passed away a few years ago.Why it came back I don't know. We had our 2 children immunized from birth. Now I know how bad vaccines can be for anyone. I am concerned now for my 6 and 11 year old grandsons as they have gotten their first dose of H1N1flu vaccine and will get their 2nd. dose in 2 more weeks. The oldest boy has WPW. In Canada we have run out of the vaccine so when we get more our daughter and son-in-law will definitely get there's. All 4 will also get the seasonal flu shot as well. Doctors here say all vaccines are safe. I disagree.

All I can say is my un-vaccinated son is now about to turn 20, has gone through public schools, and 2 years of college, is healthy(thank God even though he has not full maintained the healthy vegetarian lifestyle I raised him on). So just know and stand strong in your convictions regarding how you feel best to live life and raise your children in the best and healthiest way.

My mother is vegan and is into all the latest in holistic medicine. I grew up with some health problems and the only thing that cured me was holistic medicine. 8 years ago, before I got married she received a video from a friend about the wrongs of vaccinations and we both watched it. I was horrified and was deemed never to give my children vaccinations and was dead set against them. I now have a beautiful baby girl who is 15 months and I will NEVER vaccinate her. She is intelligent and healthy and knowing what I know now, I would never ruin her precious life and future with vaccinations. My mother has also taught my in-laws about them and they too will and have not vaccinated except for one brother and his wife and we tried to tell them but they ended up getting defensive and mad. Too bad. My husband is also a believer against vaccinations so we are together one this. We both have had to deal with his side of the family bashing on us and reprimanding us for not getting vaccines. They have such "old school" views on the whole matter and are with the rest of the nation who are brainwashed from commercials and government that they can't make intelligent decisions from the information we give them about vaccinations. It's a tough matter but Jenny McCarthy's(celebrity dating Jim Carrey) child became autistic within three hours after he got vaccinated and she has been campaigning on various tv shows and wrote a book about the scares of vaccinations and autism and people won't even listen to a celebrity. Well in the Nursery in my Church there is about 12 children and out of the 12, 3 of them had autism. That is so scary and the proof is sitting right under peoples nose. Poor children rely on us adults for their care and most adults are so prideful, that they can't even listen to information about vaccines and rather deal with a sick child. Well, it's what I tell my husband "everyone are robots" commanded by the government and can't make intellige decisions for themselves

My daughter got her DPT shot at 18 months. The doctor had said she would be a little sore and might even run a slight fever- just give her some baby Tylenol. By 10:00 p.m. that night we were at the emergency room of the hospital because her fever had reached 105 degrees and she was having convulsions. The baby Tylenol had not helped at all. At the hospital they wrapped her in cold sheets and gave her double doses of tylenol AND aspirin trying to get her fever down. For weeks after she would SUDDENLY get a fever that would start to rise so fast I had to quickly put her in the bathtub to stop it.

Even years after any time she would even get the sniffles, her temperature could shoot up. I had to inform her teachers and school nurse every year so they would know to look out for it. The doctor never gave her any DPT booster shots because of her reaction. I never allowed my second daughter to get immunized, but when it turned into such a hassle when she was starting school, I just made a copy of her medical records and changed it to say that she had all her shots.

Hi Kreative Keira, I've been reading these posts for over a year now without actually "joining" (know idea why) but after reading yours, just had too! - You see I'm in New Zealand, and i hate to break it to you but we are even MORE ignorant in this country!!!!

For example, by the time your child is four, he/she will have had 22 shots. This is to be increased sometime this year by a further 5 and climbing. We took the menz b or meningococcal off the shelves after it was costing the country oodles in compensation (we cant even sue the (*&^%$'s in this country we have to go thru the government for compensation so they can vicariously "protect" the manufacturers) - Doctors of course are maintaining that we can remove the menzb because the vaccine has done its job? (if that was the case we would have taken polio and tb one off too??) And a large amount of the population believe it. I could go on and on here! We do have wonderful whistleblowers such as a women called Hilary Butler who wrote a book called "just a little ***, and from one *** to another (i'm sure you'll see the hidden meaning here).

So I guess ignorance is universal.

We don't vaccinate at all, now. My firstborn got one set of shots at 18 months old and cried for hours. She was sore for days. And cranky for weeks! She went from smiling and happy to whiny and complaining. She is now 17 and is very happy.

Baby no. 2 is very different. We didn't give her any shots until she stepped on a rusty nail at age 4 and we decided we would rather be "safe than sorry". She got the DPT shot in her legs, which made her very sore, then the booster in her right arm. When I asked why they wouldn't put in her legs like before (two weeks earlier) they said the regulations had changed and they could no longer put this one in her leg. Her little arm swelled up immensely, had a fever in it, was deep red, and she couldn't move her arm without great pain. Whereas she was a good eater and ate normally before, she now has Celiac's Disease. She is now 14.

My other three children have had no vaccinations. They are all perfectly healthy! They rarely get sick. And when they do, it never lasts long. They have been exposed to flu, chicken pox, and various illnesses, but didn't get sick. Their immune systems are very healthy and able to fight off most disease on their own with no help from vaccines or any doctor.

This is the way it should be.

If you look at what child vaccines are standard in the US, it's pretty shocking because ther eare so many. I think in Japan there are less than half of those required (even if required, you can refuse them). Here:

one time of BCG (to prevent tuberculosis, ( I refused this because of the grid-shaped scar that's left )

4 times of Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus

2 times of Oral Polio Vaccine (both doses already taken)

2 times of Measles, Rubella

There is also the option for Chicken pox and a few others including Japanese Encephalitis, which used to be required but taking the vaccine was linked to some rare condition, so it's not recommended anymore. Are vaccines any safer in other countries? I know people here took Tamiflu like crazy and you'd always here about teens jumping from their apartment buildings on the news. But it was banned, I believe, at least for a certain age group because it was found to be too dangerous. Maybe in other countries vaccines don't have such dangerous addivities in them. My daughter (1 yr. 3 mo. ) hasn't gotten all of the vaccines yet, just a few, but are there any reasons, I may want to avoid the ones above? Of course the doctors here say they are safe.

I'm not buying the video just yet but Thank God for Dr Mohammed Al-Bayati, double PhD in toxicology and pathology, who did help the family with this case.

Basically the hospital care baby Yurko received (on top of vaccination) was what killed this poor child - and the ratbag, criminal, incompetent b*stard paediatrician/s got to testify in court to cover up their own failure of care. I cannot stress strongly enough how common this awful, tragic phenomenon may be but the blood just curdles, when I as a health professional, reads the medical details presented in the notes and at the trial. Heparin overdose, sodium bicarbonate overdose - they were absolutely floundering - but because of their "God-like" status, they hid their own crimes behind "shaken baby syndrome".

We keep making the point that "modern medicine is broken", but nowhere more so than in vaccine harm and paediatrics.
