Journalism should first be about objectivity. That's why there's a separate opinion page in the newspaper, talk radio, comedy shows, The Daily Show, etc.

I wonder how FOX is trying to sugarcoat the economy, Bush now in 2008 ...

To Mercola: "Some might think that I am a left-wing liberal for posting this article ..." Who cares what other people think, stand up for your beliefs! "What is popular is not always right and what is right is not always popular."

It seems to me that Dr. Mercola has his own bias against Fox that was there before the piece they did on him. It has affected my opinion of this man and I have lost some trust in him.

Dr. Mercola was my doctor starting about 18 years ago. I really miss him as his honesty and involvement in my health care and my family's healthcare was always more than just an office visit. "Dr. Joe" was what we called him and I am so proud of him as a person and as a physician. To see where his practice is today is amazing but not a surprise and it doesn't surprise me at all the the media would try to misconstrue what he has to stay. Dr. Joe was always honest with us and the kids loved him. He was the only doctor that could draw blood and he didnt hurt them. What I would like the public to know is that Dr. Mercola always sought finding an answer to our health questions and issues. He treated us like people and well I have always, and still do, consider him my friend. His honesty and professionalism is definitely in tact but more than that his quest to help all of us live the best life we can physically, mentally and emotionally. He is not only a doctor but God's man we can trust. Rock on Doctor Joe, we love you.

I like Dr. Mercola's health blog, and I follow a lot of his advice. However, I believe that he is very wrong to say what he does about Fox. It is the only news that is fit to watch. I watch it all of the time. I saw his interview. I had never seen the interviewer before. He said something about Dr. Mercola being in the "northwest suburbs." This had to be a local (Chicago) broadcast. I don't think that it represents Fox at all. Other news outlets are so far to the left, that anything different (or honest) seems to be right-winged biased. Not to worry, Dr. M. This republic is in the last 2 stages of suicide - selfishness and apathy. You and I won't see it, but this experiment in self rule will die before the end of the century.

I Like Mercola and Fox. Admittedly, they (Fox) are too traditional when it comes to areas like alternative medicine, but I don't tune in to Brit Hume, O'Reilly etc. to learn about such topics. I read Mercola, etc. for my "health " news.

Some of the other comments below are interesting. One major misconception is that all the rich corporate types are Republicans. Not true, according to several recent studies I've seen. It appears that the Republican Party in now more middle-class, while the Democrats tend to dominate at the two ends of the economic spectrum.

And if anyone thinks Murdock is more of a threat to an open intelligent public discourse than Soros/Move-On/The New York Times...I'll just say I'm sorry for such an individual.

Finally, Doc, I'm sorry if you got whacked by Fox, but that's the treatment conservatives have been getting from all the other media outlets for years.

I am not suprised at all that they distorted the truth. They do that as best they can. They will also supress as much as they can. I had seen Sheryl Crow on TV (don't recall which network) I watched because I had seen the preview that she's an avocate for finding what ENVIRONMENTAL links there are to breast cancer. I wanted to know what she had to say - I was very interested that a big name star finally had the guts to stand in front of America and say - "HEY! Our environment could be KILLING US!" They made her sound like just another big name fighting cancer when that's not the case at all. They dominated the short converstaion to reduce the ENVIRONMENTAL part as much as they could - she's fast on her feet - she corrected them in the last few seconds. I caught it, I just wonder how many others did too......

I have always been a big fan of everything Dr. Mercola has said or put on his site. I am very disappointed that he has decided to get into the ring with the press and begin to put out his political views. This documentary is 1000 times more unfair than the piece that Fox did on Mercola, at least his piece was not based on hearsay and sore politically biased journalists. Talk about heavy editing and sound bites !! When it comes down to it, all news programs focus on the fears of individuals and to some extent push their own agenda but never against what keeps ratings up. Fox certainly has its flaws but it is far better than the extreme bias and deception and lies of its competitors (NBC, CNN, BBC...).

Don't get me started on politics, just tell me how I can live better and longer.

This article demonstrates the very reason why I am afraid to conversate my views (ie. being told to "shut up"). No one likes to be yelled at or asked to have a conversation in which the topic is controlled and you are demeaned if you stray from a "ridged" character. We have been warned of the horrible ways of "communisim" and have fought against it for years. Is this the direction of our future? I hate watching the news and find it very time consuming keeping up with "hate" topics. It's unfortunate that the topic of "Benafer -- Ben and Jennifer" have become a resting and enjoyable recess time away from our brainwashed information. Don't worry Dr. Mercola, I don't second guess your morals. I might find interest in other views from time to time, but your good information and love for good health will always keep me wondering what you will say next. Mostly because, myself, also with good morals understands to trust my insticts.

This is very disappointing! Is Dr. Mercola's site advocating health and nutrition or politics? I am not interested in hearing about his leftist libertarian views. I am a conservative Republican and proud of the Judeo-Christian beliefs that this country was founded on.

In addition, I am a strong advocate of capitalism, which has provided Americans with all of the wonderful amenities this country has to offer.

Is there corruption in the FDA and drug industry? Absolutely, but lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. After all, isn't Dr. Mercola a capitalist, reaping large sums of money from this site? Of course he is and more power to him, but I am seriously reconsidering whether I will ever purchase another product from a health practitioner that has a political agenda and knocks my conservative values. I'm sure his competitors would be more then glad to fill his shoes.

Does Fox News lean to the right? No, it's just that Americans are not accustomed to hearing a news channel offer the conservative side on issues. Unfortunately, we have been programmed for years by the leftist mainstream news media outlets (ABC, CBS, NBC). I can't understand how anyone that observed the heated Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo Riviera debate can come away thinking Fox News is not fair and balanced.

Let's be honest! The content on Dr. Mercola's videos is interesting; however, they also reflects his inability to articulate this thoughts in a smooth coherent sentence. He becomes tongue-tied and his words are often mumbled. Maybe that was the real issue with the Fox News interview. Is Fox News perfect? No, but it's the fairest of them all!

Hello Dr. Merocla, I receive your news letters and videos----- this thought always passed through my mind. when I read them and viewed them........ how long are they, the big controlers , goverment etc going to let you alone, they are going to get after you somehow, sometime, well I was right they are after you... its like this, the Civil War was reallly fought because the south thought the goverment was taking too much control and say so in their affairs. Now you cant sneeze without them questioning it, and I suppose it will get worse, and its like always, the ones who have the money, have the power, and they like to control. Sincerely Louise V

I appreciate "The Truth" and unfortunately we seem to find it only in satire as most of the people just aren't prepared for the stark reality of truth. When someone of your knowledge and wisdom steps forward it's intimidating to those of us who would rather succumb to blindly being led by the establishment.l
Keep up the good fight. Keep trying your best to sincerely want to change this into a better world. If we don't stop our greedy narrow minded secular views we're going to effectively hasten our inevitable demise.
We're all in this together and as soon as we realize that we should all want the best for "everyone" we'll be on the road to recovery.

On the rare occasion I watch news, it's Fox news. Whether they are truly fair and balanced, I do not know. Do I believe the other networks are fair and balanced? NO! All the networks, including Fox, tend to air mostly a lot of bickering and mud slinging like pre-school children, as opposed to real news. When they do show real news, it's always the bad things happening in Iraq, never the good that this war has done.

I just found out on one more of what looks like 100's of sites oriented around boycotting anything attached to conservatism, the following:

McDonalds - Rebublican supporter
Nestle - Republican supporte
Coca Cola - Republican supporter

I previously reported:

Dean Food (parent of Horizon Orgainics) - Republican suppoerter
Walgreens - Republican supporter
WalMart - Republican supporter.

These people would put an end to political freedom if they could. As far as why I'm reporting it here - you connect the dots...
