Funny you brought up this topic, I hate IBprophin. One time I had a concussion and the emergency room gave me motrin and sent me home. After 5 hours of waiting too.

There is a pain killer,

an herb, I forgot the name,

but is also addicting,

yet if you use it medicinally

instead of to get high,

It shouldn't be,

In England they strapped

Iv bags of heroin

to those who had terminal cancer,

were not addicted to the heroin.

I heard about oil of oregano.

or something like that for pain.

but just briefly online

and nothing more,

because I stopped looking.

Does anyone know more,

A P.S. to my posting on the painkiller questions (Motrin, et al). These substances work by blocking the electrical impulses between cells, so you are interfering with the communications network that is your body. What can you take instead of Advil when you are experiencing excruciating facial pain? My doctor is trying to solve the root of the problem which is lack of sleep and stress ... he is helping me get my kids to stay in bed in the pm. (not with drugs but with behavior management advice). However, I am being treated for the real pain I am "presently" experiencing too. It was so bad 3 wks ago I couldn't breath. I tend not to take drugs but will resort to it to get major relief! If anyone knows of what I can substitute the Advil with in order to alleviate ear, jaw, and neck pain and inflamation I would be so appreciative. Thanks!

That is why I stoped taking any medicane. I use to have migranes where I was outt of work 3 to 4 days at a time. I also took I would say about 16 mortin a day for pain. I started to use natural addes and it will be a year in a month and have not have to take any. I am very thankful for that. I have also eliminated all my over the counter and persripation medicane for every thing encluding cold remidiy. My children even use this and they will come ask mom what do I need for this I tell them and in 10 minutes they are much better. If you would like more information please let me know.

My son who is now 14, we found out is allergic to Motrin. When he was about 7 we gave him some to help reduce his fever. He is not allergic to anything so we didn't even think he would be allergic to motrin, but after a couple hours after taking the medicine he began having hallucinations and running around the room screaming like a crazy person. It was very strange and very scarry. After about hour it began to wear off. Never again will we use Motrin.

I think you are right about fevers. A friend of mine recently returned from a German clinic, where she was successfully treated for cancer. Part of the treatment consisted of raising her temperature to a very high degree - sort of simulating an infection I guess.

Be aware, the industry is not going to cut it's own throat. You will not get the whole story from the manufacturer, you must research for yourself. Aside from burning holes in your digestive system, I see nothing this garbage does.

I think the rest of the world would respectfully disagree that there is a time and place for "many" pharmaceutical medicines. The overwhelming majority of these "medicines" (technically a medicine should treat the problem, not the sympton, yes??) in fact never treat the root cause of the disorder and in fact are NOT needed at ANY time and place. The US, with 5% of the world's population, uses 50% of the world's rx meds, and our health care numbers are shockingly bad (well, not if you've been paying attention).

We are a nation of short cutters, and will continue to lag behind the rest of the world until we figure out that good choices create good health, not pills.

i took my baby to his 3 month checkup yesterday and the whole time all he could talk about is how bad i was because i didnt vaccinate my children. He said that all the bad things have been removed from the shots and they are safe. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

just a ?...

ive been taking motrin for years and years, even though im only 16. ive had chronic knee pain since i was 8 and so the doctors have been telling me and my parents to give me ibuprofen/motrin, whatever. about 1 1/2 years ago, the doctor told me to take 800 mg of ibuprofen, then one hour later take 600 mg of tylenol...and do this every four hours. i did this for a couple weeks, and then the effectiveness of the drug lessened to nothing and now it doesnt take away any knee/leg pain that i have. now, i get these periods of time ranging from 2 day to 2 weeks of not being able to eat ANYTHING without getting sick. not throwing up but jsut severe nausea. is there anyway that taking this much of ibuprofen and the sort after all these years has done something to my "insides?"

One of my kids reacts horribly to Tylenol.It makes him 'drunk', and even as a small child he hated that. I have become hyper sensitive to most OTC and prescription drugs Usually a fourth of the dosage is all I needed for a wallop of an effect.

But since I started seeing my herbal doc last year , I have not taken anything made by PigPharma.

I take Arnica for headache pain or wild lettuce.WORKS!

Getting better every day, after 4 decades of abusing my body , I have begun to repair and heal.Takes awhile, but I am getting there. When I reach 90 I am going to be able run a marathon!
