I recently bought a chip that sticks to the outside of my cell phone near to the antennea, so it is supposed to lower the radiation risk. I bought it at my Naturopath's office. What do you think of these divices, do they work?

Don't put Wi-Fi in your house. Unless it's connected to a wire, don't use it, and use it sparingly. Speaker phones should help. From San Diego, the home of Qualcomm and other high-tech industries that hopefully will soon drop into recessional slumps (they're calling now, trying to get 'upgrades' repeatedly) with the reductions in jobs, after the housing industry has dropped considerably and folks not only aren't 'keeping their big screens,' but soon will have to 'give up their blackberries or cell phones to survive,' I can tell you such 'big $' controls everything. From the Sacramento's Health provider, where the cell companys are "Strategic Alliance Partners" to the Pediatric Cancer Institutes, to the way they've 'covered' San Diego with tens of thousands of Cell/Wi-Fi Antennas, now without any Notice to the public now, in the middle of Residences-the 'money interests' are embedded and are destroying the fabric of our country. Greed over life.

The connection between cell phone use and cancer is well-established.. about as well as the link between smoking and lung cancer.

The sad thing is that it'll be as hard to give up cell phone use as it is to give up smoking for a lot of folks. People are addicted to these useless pieces of technology. There are pay phones everywhere.. it's not a necessity to have a radiation-emitting device in your pocket or at your ear most of the day.

A cell phone is okay in a true medical emergency or car accident, with it turned off when not needed. The irony here is that cell phone use, especially texting, is about as dangerous - or more - than drunk driving.

KMT... to turn off the wireless on your internet you need to get into the router itself and turn off the wireless manually. I have a linksys router and while I can turn each computer via access restrictions I have to turn off my wireless manually each time.

WIth speakerphone, if you keep it away from your body then it is much safer overall. EM waves decrease in power on a 1 to 4 ratio, meaning for every inch you move it away from your body lets say the signal strength decreases 4 times. That's why moving it away from the body only 6 inches means that the signal strength is 24 times weaker than holding the phone near your head.

Your not going to get the truth from any cell phone manufacturer or cell provider. Just as the tobacco industry lied to the world for decades, just as pharmaceutical companies are lying about their drugs, just as the government is lying about so many things too. That is why we have to check things out for yourself. Just as I teach in regards to health and healing you have to essentially become your own doctor.

Now the phones they are selling are digital... are those bad for us, too? They're NOT 2.4 gH -- they are the new DIGITAL phones. Got ours are Sam's Club for $100 or so? (5 cordless phones, one main central unit/answering machine).

CLUELESS... but of course we limit our cell phone use & I'm tempted to just GET RID OF THEM, but seems like our business relies so heavily upon it.... hard to know what to do.

Got the blue tube headset here -- hubby said the cord is too short & he hates using it. Doesn't like the retractable part -- said you HAVE to put the cell phone in your pocket (also not good) in order to use the headset -- any way to make the cord LONGER, Dr. Mercola? THANKS!

We are all talking about the dangers of using cell phones and offering so solutions to reduce or eliminate the risk but is there any evidence that shows that if we reduce or eliminate the use of a cell phone that the damage is repaired? I know it's common sense that if we reduce or eliminate we are no longer causing damage but can we repair the damage as well?

You must understand how skeptical I am about the statements starting in the section, "Will Political Lobbying Cost You Your Health, or Perhaps Even Your Life?"

I'm not here to argue philosophies, but I tend to trust the government, so I find it very hard to believe this section of statements such as "The FDA is bought and paid for" without any references or source material.

This may not be the avenue for such a comprehensive examination of the government's possible involvement in a great government that is costing us our health, and if I'm barking up the wrong tree, I apologize. But these statements need to be backed up! If you are truly posting something like this for the public good, how are you going to convince the public of these things without evidence and sources to back up your claims?

(And just to be sure that I'm not misunderstood, I'm referring to the accusations against the governmental organizations, not the research on the cell phone use health risks. I understand that there is a danger, so I'm not arguing at that point--and indeed, you have referenced your material for the health risks.)

Does anyone have any info about Bipro cell chip which is to protect from the dangers of cell phones. It is placed on the outside of ur phone and it disrupts the dangerous electromagnetic waves by blurring them. I put one on my husbands phone as he uses it alot for business. I wonder though if they work. Their research shows they do make a difference for the better. Anyone?

We are constantly bombarded with rf [ radio frequency]. Driving through intersections with red light cameras and speed cameras and even the television remote exposes us to some degree of radiation.

It's not just telephones! If one did the math and added up all the rf we are exposed to in a day it would

be surprising and all the more reason to avoid it. Hey, maybe someone should do the math!

But can Someone please explain something to me about the EMF from 2.4ghz cordless telephone machines.

Does the Cordless phone still broadcast when it is sitting on the cradle charging or only when it is removed and there is no physical connection between the two. i have been leaving my phone on the cradle in the hope that is only transmits when separated? Can anyone enlighten me please?

Also I know how dangerous electric blankets are but i have mine only at my feet, (on a timer as a heating alarm to wake me up and get out of the cold bed in the morning) Is it less dangerous if its not near your heart or brain?

Do the research yourself friends, and don't be intimidated by those who believe differently and prefer to wait to find out one day that emfs may have caused their cancer. My husband, diagnosed with two cancers at 49, and I have more than a hunch that wearing a cell phone on his body for over twenty years was a contributing factor. We have researched the subject of emfs related to cancer for three years and have come to the conclusion that we cannot wait for anyone else to protect our health in this area.
