So we read of do-it-yourself measures such as reverse osmosis gadgets or distillers of water. but there is a puzzling lack of commercial reaction to all this.

I mean, if I were running a supermarket or a pharmacy I would have, for instance, a sub-divided toothpaste section, with non-fluoride products separated out, with appropriate si.gnagel Asi t is right now, you will have a tough time finding a non-fluoride toothpaste. I finally had to wade thru Walmart's to find a Tom's of Maine or a Xlight tube. In CVS, couldn't find any. Ditto for the Air Force BX. Ditto for the Giant . If they have 'em, keep on searcning. The same thing re. bottled water. I do not find fluoride or non-fluoriode mentioned on the bottles. We're told so much of the bottled water comes right out of municipal taps.. If I had to pick one, I'd probably go with a Perrier or a San Pelligrino--because they are said to be spring-fed. Goodness knows what you would get into for the soft drinks and the beers, (CocaCola and Pepsi are alreadt off-limits until thet get rid of aspertane.) But why isn't this kind of contents-related info highlighted??

For a guy like me, it would make or break a sale.

I live in the Washington DC area and we are treated to fluoridated water, courtesy of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. The WSSC spokesmen speak proudly of this. I am thinking that if even a few Congressmen become aware of the truth abiut fluorides--and contemplate that they themselves --and their families--are drinking this stuff, they might begin to take a much more active role. This is an election year--and unwanted forced medication could easily become an electable issue, At the very least, Congress couild reevaluate whatever led them to go along with fluoridization in the past.

ONe of the best things for this is the fact that it wouldn't cost anything, and would in fact save a substantial sum, and the guy/gal legislators who get\ credit for banning fluoride will score a valuable career note,

So, everyone, write your legislators! There's plenty of ammunition in these columns,

I've got a hole in a very back tooth but would like to have a go at re-enamalising it myself rather than go straight to the dentist for an expensive, aluminium and BPA-filled white filling (the best option there is sadly). I'd rather get it pulled if it comes to it. The only sugar I eat is from fruit or smoothies (home made), I don't eat gluten... any ideas? Anyone know how long it takes either? It's not painful yet so I'm sure I've got time to sort it out.

Only 17% in Indiana understood the current science of topical reminerization of post eruptive teeth. Not mentioned was the fact that 1ppm ingested has no ability to deliver on the new theory. 1000ppm in toothpaste put directly on the teeth just might but most young kids swallow so much it results in more ingestede damage then any small benefit. Only 14% got it right in Illinois. Yet we still have fluoride ignorant dentists telling us safe for all and everyone benefits. Sound like a medical diagnosis for a raw toxic waste that has never had even one chronic health ,safety, benefit study ever. The FDA after 63 years of medication has yet to review or approve ingested fluoride in any form. It is considered a new unapproved and was sort of grandfathered in claiming use prior to 1938 but that was as a effective rat poison not human use. Rats get warfin nowdays and we get contaminated rat poison. The EPA did admit to congress no study yet but did not say they would do one either.

The EPA scientists at the Headquarters Union became aware of employees being forced lie and rewrite studies to protect fluoride in 1985. A lawsuit was filed in 1986 that the Safe Drinking Water Act is violated by fluoridation. In 2000 congress was asked to halt fluoridation by the headquarters union. In 2005 11 EPA unions asked for immediate halt to fluoridation and congressional investigations. Feb 29,2008 the number was 19 professional unions but the press seems not to notice. They asked for a goal of ZERO just like arsenic and lead which are also cumulative toxins.

We are treated worse then lab rats in this misguided experment. Pizzo 2007 review showed 51% of kids with fluoride toxicity with dental fluorosis. The York study 2000 showed 15%dental fluorosis before fluoridation and 48% after fluoridation with 12.5% of the forever damage being ugly enough for cosmetic.

Calcium bonds strongly to fluoride ions (which explains its effect on brittle bones). Question 2: As for water treatment; my family has been using distilled water for almost a year with wonderful results. Distillation uses no filters (filtration does not remove fluoride anyway since it is a very small molecule), and we place about a pinch of natural sea salt per gallon to remineralize the water. We also use a cheap filter like Brita to remove those substances that boil at or below the temperature of water. We only pay for the electricity to boil the water, which ends up being much less than having to buy our water in plastic jugs. And, the consistency of the product is the same every time. Clean, pure water is an acquired taste since distilled water really has no taste. You can add green tea or other flavors for taste, and we also add a little xylotol for some sweet taste. The company we bought our distiller from is in Florida, and can be seen at www.waterwise.com . They sell excellent equipment, and it doesn't break the bank. The U. S. Navy has used this technology on their submarines for more than sixty years with no problems. Here's to your good health!

It seems a natural solution - your own free rainwater! They don't have to be enormous, or even round - there are 'slimline' tanks that fit along the side of the house. But no-one ever mentions them Why?

One form of Fluoride - CALCIUM Fluoride - occurs naturally, but this can't be used for water fluoridation as it is INSOLUBLE, it won't disolve in water!

Hence other "fluorides" such as sodium fluoride, aluminium fluoride, sodium fluorosilicate and fluorosilicic acid are used for water fluoridation, and all are very toxic chemicals which are a waste-products of various industries, such as aluminium production and the phosphate fertiliser industries. Why don't you and others do your own research into these man-made chemicals and see what they are used for, where they come from and what damage they do to your body.

Even if fluouride did (allegedly) prevent tooth decay (which independent studies shows it doesn’t), it doesn't fix the cause of the problem anyway – the problem being bad nutrition that people are eating and drinking, especially kids. It’s more the acidic foods - sugars, sweets, soft drinks, “sports” drinks etc perhaps together with bad dental hygiene which are eroding teeth. This is the cause of bad teeth NOT because we don’t have fluoride in our water!

In the tiny Nation of Belgium fluoride has been outlawed www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/fluoride.htm, and there has been an effort to get UNICEF to look at the data and cease backing water fluoridation programs. True fluoride does harden the enamale of teeth, but the danger lies beneath. The teeth become more brittle, as well as the bones, and this may also be the reason for the great increase in osteoarthritis. Even my pet gets filtered water. Then osteoporosis is the other danger, but the FDA,and the USDA, continue to say this toxin fluoride is helpful, not harmful. Hey I have property on the moon for sale.

Go ahead take fluoride out of the water, I need the business!!

I am a dentist and news flash- fluoride occurs "naturally" in water. That's how it was discovered some where down in Texas. The idea that fluoride has no effect on caries is simply a lie, not true, false!. I can see a dramatic difference in my patients who drink city water that is fluoridated and patients who live on well water that is sometimes not flouridated. As far as bone strenght and flouride, the fact is that flouride supplementation makes the bones denser and less likely to fracture. So do me a favor, don't drink fluoridated water and get caries and then complain about the bad metal we put in your mouth. Also there is a direct relationship between the number of missing, decayed and filled teeth and heart disease. The more missing, filled and decayed teeth. the higher the incidence of heart disease. His dentist told us there wasn't enough fluoride in his drinking water to help him, and he prescribed both a mouth rinse and chewable tablets. Of course, we dosed our child. It was 30 years ago and we had no internet to do our own medical research. Everyone I talked to agreed it was the best thing. My 30-year-old son now has striped brown and white teeth that break very easily. He has arthritis and hypothyroidism. I never associated these conditions with fluoride until two years ago when I was doing some research on the water in our new neighborhood. I feel very much like he was the subject of human experimentation. I am very thankful that we now have resources to do our own research and make more medical decisions for ourselves.
