I agree, I have been married to a wonderful man for 30 years. His sense of humor gets funnier the longer we are married. I love it when we laugh and play together. We need to do it more often too.!

My experience has been that too many of us do not know how to let go and play in general,.... much less with a marriage partner. ... If you can't "Let Go",... in sex and in play etc. ... you cannot experience any real Joy in life and life becomes way out of balance and perspective. An unhealthy and inharmonious scenario all the way around.

.... In my opinion,.. play and sex (even though they can and do function independantly of eachother), are very closely related, and a core part of being a healthy human being.

My husband and I have had jobs together where it is 24/7 in the hospitiality business, we have been married 39 years this year and been through some hard times, but that has made us stronger and he has a great sense of humour. he said to me one day when I stop making you laugh is when I know it is over.

Wow, there is a term for it, 'self-silencing'. That can explain my complete unmotivation in general lately and the reason I'm down to size 4 jeans (which I never thought would ever be possible). I wonder if heart disease is next?!? I think I need to face the fact my marriage is a failure.

YAY, that is right if there is no fun it will be like being at work all the time. I think it is good to be able to surprice ones partner. We just need to do a little thing every day.

We always make time for fun and play...what we don't do is make time to work on the important things together like finances, goals, etc...

LOL...I ~~forced~~ allowed DH to take me to the new Mummy film last night...

We've been married for 25+ years...

I've come home to be handed a water gun & given first shot. I've handed him a box of snap-pops as a pop went off at his feet & run. I've been pummeled with water balloons and then seated at the table with candles & a gourmet meal...Life is good when you are married to your best friend....

"Play" time is just as important as you get older whether you're married or single.

I try to go out for dinner once a week with my husband. This isn't always possible, especially without our son, but it definitely makes me happier!
