Buffalo cannot be pend up like domesticated cows They put out hay for them in the snow. They also grow there own food crops using all natural buffalo dung.

I grow all natural foods, I use dehydrated cow manure mixed with Michigan peat, a 50-50 mix. People ask what fertilizer do i use, none. No pesticides, if bugs don't eat it neither do I. When understanding nature and work with it and it will work for you. Mother nature doesn't like people messing with nature she will get even. Every thing on this earth was put here for a reason. Marigolds will keep bugs out of gardens, garlic plants and powdered cayenne will keep our little four legit buddies out of the garden. Feed the birds in the winter so they will stick around in the summer to eat bugs.

For all of you haters out there, I'd like to know what you think dairy cows are fed. You're lucky if you can find milk from a cow that spent more than 30% of its time on pasture (usually only organic).

Watch out for Soy products, I took a powdered soy protein for many years and eventually it effected my thyroid. Now I need to take medication. Fresh raw milk has kept people alive almost since the beginning of time. The early tribes exsisted on the milk of animals, and they lived just fine. I don't believe they drank soymilk or even rice milk. Of course what you drink is your own business. But do yourself a favor and investigate the effects of soy on humans.

Two of the other sites say "vegetarian diet", mostly grass fed, even though they start their promotion by saying their cattle are 100% grass fed. Appearantly this means that the grass they feed their cattle is 100% grass, but that doesn't mean they don't feed their livestock other things, too. Obviously, deceptive advertising is employed by the organic producers just as much as conventional growers.

This article condemns Whole Foods, yet refers us to other sources that aren't any better - and probably more expensive.
