There are products out there that are not so loaded with caffiene and give you the energy boost we are looking for.

I know, I gave up my daily doses of caffiene when I started drinking it, and there are no bad side effects, no added caffiene.

It's out there, be happy to let anyone know about it who is interested!

I wish that I had heard about this connection a year ago, before my husband had a stroke at age 41. He had been working a lot of hours and was drinking bunches of energy drinks to stay awake on just a few hours of sleep a night, even though he had been totally off caffeine for several years before that. He apparently had high blood pressure already but didn't know it, and the energy drinks just put him over the edge. Thankfully, he is doing ok now but will have to live with some of the effects of the stroke for the rest of his life.

I personally do not drink energy drinks but I do know of a energy drink that has NO artificial flavors, NO artificial sweetners, NO preservatives of fake color. It is low glycemic and provides vitamins, minerals, antioxidants for your cells. This red bull drink sounds scary and I will stay FAR away from it. Thanks for all the input it has been very informative. I have a snack idea full of energy and health. Take a raw pecan half and put on raw organic honey then put on cacao pieces. YUM It greatly helps your enzymes and my children love our HONEY NUTS.

Is it not evident to all?......."No Name", has no life, nor integrity, or he/she would have put his/her name, and money where their mouth is.

Sounds more like a radical activist, and is the one in the same, that keeps bringing up Dr. Mercola's website, just for the pleasure of dinging Dizzylzzy, for mockery sake.

Kudos, to Dizzylzzy, and to those that will take heed from a life sadly destroyed by innocence or stupidity, based on the individual .

'No Name' is nothing more than a defiant ignoramus......let him/her go on drinking it by the gallons, while it is still on the market, if they wish to. Maybe they like the secret of killing off people they don't like or believe that drinking these items is 'superior' to true sleep.

We happened to host a neighborhood party last summer, and some of the younger neighbors came over and wanted everyone to try their new drink of Jagermeister and Red Bull. I took a taste, but thought it tasted like age old cough syrup. Little did they nor we know that it could have killed them/us. Next time I will alert all, and make copies of this article in print to hand out to any who think it is so great. I am also printing it to inform my employer, as the vending machine in our employee's lounge has all kinds of these energy drinks in it.

Maybe, 'No Name' needs to read the Bible and see how the God who made our bodies, intended them to be treated and cared for.

I like this article and agree with it.Regarding the comment by NO_NAME , I would like to say that yes in a free society people have a right of choice and at the same time have a right to information .Not only there is no harm in informing consumers of the risks invlove in drinking such stuff,but the society will also benefit from more knowledge.

What I have gleened from reading this article is something that most of us would or should agree with completely. And that is... That it is refreshing and frightening, at the same time. That a company has truly stepped forth and render truth in advertizing with their slogan;"Red Bull gives you wings", However who among us really wants to die,for that rush? I thank you for the enlightenment, that their "commercials" are indeed not a play on words.

Just to start off with I would like to say, everyone has a right to think what they would like. I on the other hand know first hand what it is like to have a stroke and for the doctors to tell me after laying in a hospital bed for 7 daysand going through all the wonderful test they put you through that I am the healthist 31 yr old they have ever meet. Why the stroke? The only thing I am dead set against on is energy drinks! I was working 3rd shift and was overly tired, drank 2 (red bulls) about 3hr apart and about 1 hr later was not feeling so hot. I went from not feeling so hot to not being able to feel the whole left side anymore, no control, no understanding of anything anyone was saying, couldn't talk and was very scared, laying in vomit on the floor. So, in 1 hr I went from having so much crazy energy to thinking I was dieing and would never see my 2 beautiful daughters and husband again. Should energy drinks be band not for me to say, but I would never wish what I went though and go through now with my migraines everyday on anyone.
