I called my pharmacy. The NNT for gardasil is 100!!! that means that AT BEST, it protects 1% of the people who take it. 1%!!! And this is according to the drug company's own info. "One less" apparently refers to that 1%. Yes folks, ONE out of one hundred. We are all negligent unless we share this info with ANYONE considering the vaccine, especially those that are being pressured into it by media and other idiots.

While I absolutely agree that this vaccine is unnecessary and dangerous, I do want to make one point. It was found that girls who had multiple sexual partners were more likely to get cervical cancer, and when HPV was determined to sometimes be the cause for that, the reason came out. Males can be carriers of the virus and pass it on to each female he has sex with. So I can see why they'd think to give it to boys (if it worked and wasn't dangerous). That being said, though.. if I had a daughter, I'd much rather she just avoid the heartbreak and inherent risks in sleeping around. There are many reasons to wait for marriage (or at least a solid long-term relationship) even aside from the biblical ones everyone touts. It's just smart.

What I'm trying to figure out is, even if the vaccine were effective, why target girls?

It seems that young women are (once again) having to bare the brunt of responsibility in sexual relationships. They are encouraged to take birth control to prevent pregnancy, go to the gynecologist annually to make sure they aren't carrying any STDs, and now they must get vaccinated so they don't spread HPV?

I would never allow them to vaccinate me against HPV - or anything, for that matter. This is yet one more example of how our (male-dominated) medical industry is making money off of the pretense of caring about my female organs and well-being, when, in fact, all they are doing is encouraging young men to have careless sex while laying the responsibility of pregancy and disease exclusively on women.

Here we have a lesson in how the rich remain rich, on the backs of tax payers, and the rest of us flap in the wind. The deaths reported seem to be of no concern to those who market this venom, and too many common citizens of this nation are ill informed. To see what various states in America are doing, go to www.ncsl.org/programs/health/HPVvaccine.htm. Here you will find where your state legislature stands on this issue, and as this is an election year for many, maybe who should be voted out. Several states too many to mention are considering legislation that would make this a mandatory vaccine. At the same time no mention of SEIZURES, BELLS PALSY, or GUILLAIN-BARRE SYNDROME, as side effects, no mention of the hospitalizations, and deaths that have occured because of this vaccine. That old line that says, the deaths have not been proven, continues to prevail.

How stupid do these people who create this garbage think we are? They seem to believe that we will swallow anything that comes along. With Government backing, maybe we will.

There is a book by Dr. Lorraine Day, entitled "Diseases Don't Just Happen" which I am sure will be helpful to many, because it explains our part in diseases, and how we can have our bodies prepared to properly fight off diseases.

CBS's Attkinson found significant financial connections between the American Academy of Pediatrics, Every Child By Two (an organization that promotes early childhood vaccination), and pediatrician Dr. Paul Offit.

The American Academy of Pediatrics received $342,000 from pharmaceutical giant Wyeth, producers of the vaccine pneumococcal (a product which generates a whopping $2 billion in annual sales for the company). And the year that the AAP endorsed Merck's HPV vaccine, they received a $433,000 "contribution" from Merck. Hmmm… do you think that "contribution" would have been as generous if the AAP had spoken out against the HPV vaccine?

As for Every Child By Two, they wouldn't even admit to the amount of contributions that they receive from Big Pharma, though they did admit that they do take money from the vaccine industry. A spokesman for Every Child By Two claimed that "there are simply no conflicts to be unearthed." Oh yeah? Then why is one of the group's treasurers an official from Wyeth Pharmaceutical?

This man has been quoted as saying that babies can tolerate – get this – "10,000 vaccines at once." Sickening, right? Oh, and he also personally HOLDS THE PATENT on an anti-diarrhea vaccine that's produced by – who else? – Merck! Not too sure if you had any of the media over there in the US but a few weeks ago the media was reporting what a great success the Gardasil vaccine was and that it will have wiped out cervical cancer by the year 2020........I wish I had kept a copy of the media information (I might have to search on that!!!)....

I would be interested to see how many of these young women are sterile or unable to have children, or are sick with some other illness......

"Education". Bull****. I wouldn't even say its a "triumph of
marketing". That would be too kind. What this is, is a triumph of evil
and greed that must be torn down. And by how many casualties there are
already, there's going to be consequences down the road. Especially
with Virginia soon, since it was the only state that passed a mandate and
every other state's proposal failed. 9000 serious reactions, 18 deaths,
78 genital warts outbreaks, and 6 guillian-barre cases. That's only the
reported cases, about 10% are reported (do the math because I'm
horrible at math). The numbers and deaths could be far higher.

They do not care about "educating", or anyone. They only care about
money. Their lobbyings, their hounding of doctors, patients' and
women's groups, medical experts, and political organizations is just
their way to 'spend a little money in order to make more money'.

The people who snap "Would you rather your daughter die of cervical
cancer?" stuns me beyond belief as how blinded and narrow minded they
are. They don't look at the big picture. They only think one-sided. My judgment tells me that the pharmaceutical industry is dangerous,
greedy, cannot be ever trusted, and is waging a biowarfare campaign in
a reckless assault against the health and rights of all girls and young
women. If only 10% of US girls and young women got this vaccine, that

is still a big number not counting the UK, Canada, and Australia's mass

vaccination Gardasil/Cervarix campaigns. The numbers are probably going

to increase significantly. Unless people start to reject it once they really realize how dangerous it is.

I wonder...Merck. Did everyone who works for Merck give Gardasil to their own daughters? I'd like to know that.
