Please forgive me for saying so, but your little classroom discussion about thermography does not in any way qualify you to make the statements you made. Thermography is an accurate diagnostic method I have been recommending for my patients for several years now.

Make no mistake Andrew, mammography is dangerous and innacurate.

Here is yet another: Xeno-estrogens are also found in pesticides and personal-care products. The zeno-estrogen paraben is commonly used as an antimicrobial preservative in body lotions, shampoo, lipstick, and other cosmetics and personal-care products. Avoid putting anything on your skin that contains parabens, which have been found in eight out of 10 breast tumors by researchers at The University of Reading in Edinburgh, Scotland. This includes Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, p- Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, n-Butylparaben and Benzylparaben. To learn more about the dangers of parabens, and where they are found, go online to www.organicconsumers.org/bodycare/breastcancer090604.cfm.

If you detect a lump in your breast, see your physician immediately.

Speaking of mammography, I do not recommend submitting to a mammogram, which exposes your breasts to ionizing radiation. This is harmful to your breasts, and is actually a known cause of breast cancer. There are some in the medical community who are opposed to mammograms for that reason, and because they have a high error rate. 70 to 80% of all positive mammograms are proven to be false-positives upon biopsy. Dr. John W. Gofman, M.D., Ph.D., the author of Preventing Breast Cancer, who is an authority on the health aspects of ionizing radiation, estimates that 75% of breast cancers could be prevented by avoiding or minimizing exposing the breasts to ionizing radiation from dental x-rays, chest x-rays and mammograms. There is a technology called thermography that screens the breasts for tumors without compressing them, which can help spread an existing malignant tumor, or exposing them to cancer-causing ionizing radiation. A thermography is a functional test that is able to detect tumors at a minute stage of development. The test is done with a special camera that senses hot and cold spots in the breasts, which can be interpreted to represent a possible malignancy if one exists.

And if a bra is rarely or never worn, there is a 0.60% chance of developing breast cancer. In addition, wearing a bra to prevent sagging breasts weakens the muscles and connective tissues, which helps to actually create sagging breasts.

Breast cancer strikes one in seven women in the United States. Prevention and early detection saves lives. Doctors recommend doing self examinations on a regular basis. Now there is a glove you can wear while doing self examinations that will greatly enhance the sensitivity of your hands to your breast tissue. It’s called the Donna Glove. This medical device is a two layered glove that has fluid in between the layers. By removing friction and increasing sensitivity, this glove will enable you to feel lumps in your breast that are impossible to feel with just your bare hands. Research shows that the Donna Glove is as accurate as mammography in detecting breast lumps, and may be ordered online at www.youcanpreventcancer.com/home.html. If you detect a lump in your breast, see your physician immediately.

If you are using toxic, chemical perfumes and colognes, consider using natural essential oils from herbs, spices and flowers instead. Use a natural underarm deodorant, available in health food stores, instead of a commercial antiperspirant that contains the toxic heavy metal aluminum, which clogs up the axillary lymph nodes in your armpits. When the axillary lymph nodes are clogged up, the lymphatic fluid in your breasts cannot adequately drain. This results in an accumulation of toxins, including xeno-estrogens, which cause breast cancer.

Speaking of breast cancer, do not wear under-wire bras. The metal wire in an under-wire bra interrupts the electro-magnetic energy field of the breasts, which also causes cancer. Check out wire-free bras online at www.jeunique.com.

Or, you may want to consider going bra-less after you read what I’m about to share with you. In their book, Dressed to Kill, The Link Between Breast Cancer and Bras (available by calling (800) 537-3001), authors Soma Grismaijer and Sidney Ross Singer explain how wearing a bra constricts lymphatic circulation in the breasts. The lymphatic system is our drainage system. Toxic by-products of cellular metabolism are unable to adequately drain out of the breasts due to constriction from wearing a bra. This coupled with clogging up the lymph nodes under the arms with antiperspirants, and the use of zeno-estrogens in cosmetics and personal body-care products, sets the stage for the development of breast cancer. The authors present statistics garnered through their research which shows that if a bra is worn 24 hours a day, there is a 75% chance of developing breast cancer. If a bra is worn more than 12 hours a day, there is a 14.28% chance. If a bra is worn less than 12 hours a day

- no one has mentioned ultrasound - from my research it is less harmful (radiation-wise) than mammography - true?

- for the person that asked about bio-identical hormones, it is not just for menopausal symptoms - I am pre-menopausal and have used bio-identical progesterone for the last 5 years for help with hypothyroidism and PMS, and it has helped me immensely

- I don't know if we'll get an answer on iodine - especially orally (like Iodoral) as the jury is really out on this one - the Weston A. Price org did a great article on iodine and at the end of it I was still completely confused as there is conflicting into - I tried it for a year and didn't notice any benefits so have discontinued

Personally I will alternate ultrasound and thermography every couple of years for breasts and ovaries. This is what I'm comfortable with.

As for thermography, I think I'll pay for my own. Our medical establishment is soooo short-sighted. A few years ago I needed to replace a silver filling in my mouth, even though a porcelain filling was only $1 (yep one dollar) more, my insurance wouldn't cover it nor could I just pay the extra buck. What an insane system has been created.

In the same vein, I can't fathom that squishing my breasts is good for them :( I think heavy metal build up and stealth viruses/pathogens are far more likely causes along with physical manifestations of our emotions. We human beings are complicated contraptions not just simple machines.
