The fact that 90% of women in Somalia have undergone maximum genital mutilation is also significant. Many first borns do not survive having to pass through such a scarred up area. First born mortality in Somalia is very high. The ones that do survive have many birth traumas to their cranium, and talk to any osteopath about what birth traum will do to a person's intellect! The osteopathic community that does cranial treamtents also points to forceps deliveries and abnormal pressure on the temporal bones. Some of that is treatable with cranial treatment. Then you would want to look at brainstem reflex re-integration, a treatment provided by some physiotherapists or occupational therapists. Eg,see Masgutova Institute in google.

Years ago a woman I knew was encouraged by her doctor to get a measles shot because she worked with children. She then discovered she was pregnant and sadly gave birth to a baby with multiple deformities who never reached her 2nd birthday. It was a deep sadness for the older siblings and the whole family. So unnecessary!

As a nutritionist I recently attended a biomedical conference specifically geared to the treatment of autism. There can be many contributing factors, genetic predisposition, gut health (which leads to leaky gut, toxic overload, inablity to breakdown food and absorb nutrients, and importantly an inablity to breakdown gluten and casein proteins which cause opiate like peptides to be realeased into the bloodstream and then affect the brain), an inability to clear toxins (like mercury and zinc), an inablity to retain Omega 3 in the cell membranes leading to an imbalance of Omega 3 to Omega 6, which also has an affect on mental health. All this is compounded by a high processed food and high sugar/ carb diet, as it continues to feed the bad gut microorganisms, increase bood glucose and insulin levels, give inadequate nutrients and antioxidants (critical for helping clear toxins), and perpetuates the imbalance of Omega 3 to Omega 6.

If you get all of these together - you have can see there could be a huge problem in vulnerable children. When you give a vulnerable child more toxins in the form of mercury laden vaccines, with viral components they can't properly react to - it can be the straw that breaks the camels back.

I recommend the following 2 books: 'Gut and Psychology Syndome' by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride, and 'Healing the New Childhood Epidemics; Autism, ADHD, Asthma, and Allergies" by Dr Kenneth Bock.

~~~~~~~~cck ~~~~~~the only thing I know you could do is ask her to research each shot before she puts it into her baby. Just tell her she shouldnt just blindly trust sombody else. It wouldnt be fair for her not to consider the opinion of her husband. If you do vacciante spacing the shots i think is probly safest altho i dont think any of it can be really considered safe. Sombody on this site told me about Dr Sears. He is pro vaccine and she might like him. He says space the shots and says which ones risks outweigh the benefits in his opinion. and the baby should never have a shot while they are sick EVER. Must be healthy and have been healthy before they get polked.

these statments have not been evaluated by the food and drug administration and canoot be used to prevent, cure, diagnose, or treat a disease..lol..jk...im just mocking the FDA...hehe

And the debate goes on and on and on. It’s the same info just in different words and in different orders. When is America going to wake up and smell the coffee? Or are we too sick and drugged up from the ignorant doctors that we visit on a regular basis who just give us more pills and more shots. We LOVE to be afraid and they play our fears so well. Meanwhile we cant get out of this death trap because our insurance doesn’t cover alternative medicines or nutritional doctors who would probably take us out of this drugged stupper and into the happy healthy life we should be living in the first place without processed foods and mad cow disease..lol.

My son was diagnosed with autism at 2 1/2 years of age, and he was not vaccinated. I KNEW something was going on by the time he was 5 months old (even though doctors disagreed with me) so you can definitely tell when they're babies. I too believe there is more than one disorder happening here. My son was born with it, my choice to not vaccinate was finalised when my twins who were born 7 weeks early, were STILL supposed to be vaccinated at one month of age, meaning they wanted to vaccinate them while they were still meant to be in the womb! They couldn't see my logic of saying that perhaps their immune systems aren't ready as they shouldn't even be born yet.

Now at 7 years old, when I look at him playing, smiling, dancing & singing I have a hard time thinking "tragic disease". He can't speak very much & still has to learn more social behaviour, but he is such a joyful child to be around. for me it's not a disease, it's part of him, like his eye or hair colour.

Have you heard of ACE Pathways yet? I just ran into the info the other day, and it is really interesting. They talk about Autism being caused by stealth viruses. You probably heard of SV40 before, from the polio vaccine grown on African Green Monkey Kidneys, proven to have stealth viruses. It is really interesting reading about all these improvements in the new study using ultra violet light treatment. Mercury has been suggested as the autism connection but only in a percentage of cases. Obviously it is not the main culprit as research has suggested.. The DPT shot was introduced in 1968 and we started seeing the neurological conditions by the early 1970's. Dr. Vera Scheibner tied the DPT shot into SIDS in the 1970's via valid research. She was castigated by the pharmaceutical industry for good research. Our clinical research shows it to be the underlying cause of the neurological conditions in children including autism. The tetanus portion shows to be the cause and our suspicion is that it reduces the availability of essential fatty acids to the developing nervous system. We have seen significant improvement and resolution of these conditions including autism when the DPT shot is resolved and the fatty acids are introduced into the nutrition. I shared this several years ago and was dismissed as I suspect I will be this time as well. Meanwhile, Autism continues to grow. Amazing enough, cultures without the 5 DPT shots prior to school, do not show an incidence of Autism. Most parents will be able to relate the onset of symptoms within a few days to a few weeks of the shot. It is time the world understands the vaccination paradigm is not bad, just our method of over vaccinating young children. Dr. Tenpenny has performed a herculean effort to make this understood. We owe a great deal of thanks to pioneers such as Dr.'s Tenpenny and Scheibner.

I am rather impressed by all the knowledgeable people on this sight. I have a problem and would appreciate your comments.

My son and I are in agreement regarding not (further) vaccinating his 17 month old daughter. BUT his wife is will not listen to anything the doctor does not agree with. Since it is my son who takes her for the dr appts he refused the last shot but had to lie to the dr about his wife agreeing and then lie to his wife about the shot being given. She will find out when she next goes for her own appt and then all hell will break loose.

We are heart sick and know our baby will eventually get these shots.

So my questions are: Is timing important to offsetting the effects? Will spreading them out help?

A scientific paper showed that autistic children have much higher levels (hundreds of times higher) of all sorts of toxins - pesticides, metals etc - that are excreted through the liver sulfur detoxification pathway. Providing nutritional support for the sulfur detoxification pathway (esp sulfur contining foods) and for the liver, plus increasing alternative detox pathways) sauna, skin brushing), while removing any further ingestion partially or completely reverses autism (from a conference on nutritional support for brain that my doctor went to).

I'm still convinced there are several things at play in terms of autism:

1 - The most common cause; plain old genetic-and-born-with-it ASD. Runs in families, not triggered by vaccines or toxins, just a deviance from the norm, same as someone might have different coloured eyes or 6 fingers on one hand.

2 - Environmental exposure to toxins causing damage that manifests in much the same way as ASD, and is as such labelled autism without a second thought. This would encompass vaccines, and also pesticides, environmental mercury/heavy metals, etc etc.

3 - Genetic predisposition to chemical/toxin/heavy metal/etc sensitivity. So the child may be born 'normal' and appear normal until exposed to something they're sensitive to, which triggers the common 'regression' into autism.

You need to bear in mind that it's a disorder based on analysis of behaviour (and possibly a few other common 'comorbids' like food sensitivity). There is no agreed physiological mechanism for it, therefore it's reasonable to assume there could well be several things causing a common problem. The genetic one need not be worried about, but anything caused by toxins and poisoning obviously should be investigated! I would also urge everyone to think twice about vaccinating, autism or not - they're no good, and have no place in our bodies. At all.

Also, for those mentioning the Amish - they do vaccinate, just not as often as the rest of the population. They do also have autism, it's just not as likely to be diagnosed as they'll accept the child as just being 'special' or 'different' and work with them. Less time in front of TV and modern 'conveniences' and more time one-on-one with family means it's dealt with in the community rather than seen as a problem that needs 'fixing'.

Your statements are a testament to your lack of research and blind obediance to the pharma-gods. Take some time and check out the extremely low autism rates in the European countries that have banned thimerosal as a preservative in their vaccines. "Wives tale" indeed... The sad fact is that the pharma-gods are waging a war against "whole body health" and give us "cures" that only cover up the symptoms, many that actually "cure" nothing, but reduces the strength of our immune system, increases the possibility of liver damage, plus gives us the opportuniy to experience a myriad of other "healthy side effects?". One of which are repeated trips to the Doctor for more magic pills. People would be a lot healthier today if they ate like people did 100 years ago!!! Few, if any, chemical pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or the long list of chemical additives listed on the side of the containers of most of todays processed foods found their way into the food chain and thus not into our bodies then. Our bodies were/are designed to be fueled by the "naturaliy living growing food" provided by our planet. Not chemicals derived from petroleum, It's interesting to note that most of the same companies that are deliberately tainting our everyday food supply with chemicals are also the same ones that are selling us chemicals as the cures for our poor health, The old saying, "you are what you eat" is very true my friend... And you can take that to the bank!

I firmly believe that autism can be grouped with other autoimmune diseases like MS, Fibromyalgia, etc, and I come from an autoimmune-affected family - lots of allergies, Rheumatoid Arthritis, others, and we are all very sensitive to vaccines. Whether or not the mercury in the vaccine is present or the vaccine causes or facilitates autism, giving a whopping dose of "perfectly safe" vaccines to a 2-month or 4-month or 18-month old can only throw the immune system for a loop. Doing anything to a baby that results in 104 fevers, high-pitched screaming, days of crankiness or lethargy, should give us pause.

And regarding PrincessBambi's remarks about dogs - my 10 and 14 year old mutts have received only rabies shots for the last 8 years. Anyone who has dogs with all the recommended vaccines will see the now familiar skin disease, yucky ears, chronic inflammatory problems, various cancers, all of which my dogs have none of. They should be the canaries in the coal mine. The pharmas are even worse with animals since they can sneak any old thing in with little oversight, and they can introduce new vaccines every year for weird tropical parasites that you've never heard of. As someone once said, look at how a society (replace with pharma name here) treats its animals and it will tell you how it treats people.

Even though the law was changed regarding mercury in vaccines, the drug companies are allowed to continue using the current stock with mercury until it's depleted. I've also read about these mercury containing vaccines being sent to 3rd world countries where they are now doing damage. You have to check each & every label if you're going to play Russion Roulette with your children's lives.

Almost 25 years ago, my son ran a 104 temperature after his first shots. Without knowing anything about vaccines, I felt that this was NOT right and stopped vaccines for him and thankfully didn't vaccinate my later 2 children either as they would've been at even greater risk due to the increases of shots during that time. In 25 years, we had 2 mild ear infections & 1 viral infection that a doctor tried to say was whooping cough AFTER he discovered my daughter wasn't vaccinated. It wasn't whooping cough. He lied to scare me. Idiot. My kids were/are all A students with no hints of learning problems like so many of their classmates. Of course, they were also nursed for a couple of years too.

I have no regrets that I followed my gut instinct way back then before this information was available to parents. Now I am dealing with the vaccination issue with my dogs as it is now known that repeated animal vaccines are not good for dogs either. Who are these greedy people/corporations who are successfully trying to destroy us one dose at a time????
