As well as the pesticides it is the radiation emitted by the cell phone towers that went up in 1994. If you can get a cell phone signal then there is microwave radiation present. Another factor is the HAARP array in Alaska and now in Antartica. The strength of this array was dramatically increased in 2006.

German scientists have been researching this for decades. It is not a surprise to them.

The radiation destroys the bees immune systems so they can no longer fight off infestations form parasites, mites nor pesticide damage, which they used to be able to do to a certain extent. The radiation also interferes with the bees navigation and communication capabilities.

There are several good publications which explain the science in depth. Please see:

Support your local beekeepers organization. All of the beekeepers that I know are more than willing to pass along any information that they have. Buy local honey if you can find it. Plant some flowers that you know the honeybees will like. Most of all educate yourself and your family about the importance of honeybees. Teach your kids (and maybe yourself) not to kill everything that can sting. Honeybees rarely ever sting unless they are squashed or defending their hive. They are fascinating, lovely creatures. I love teaching about our little friends so email me with any questions iriswright@triad.rr.com

not CCD here, just drought!

biggest retailer is Aldi. and WW and coles. labelled aust, but it is NOT pure aussie.

cheap honey is also possibly diluted with "packing syrup" and that can be many things..none of which is honey!

china exports to other countries. they pack and relabel as product of..where ever.

china has a chemical contamination of phenols and other chemicals.

doesn't anyone else think it odd? that china and argentina, also very large suppliers are NOT mentioning issues with CCD.

for aussies, and anyone that can afford the postage:-) have a look at

www.bereden.com.au real pure honey, and pure beeswax candles.

friends of mine, and i help out with bee work :-) our bees feed on native flora, and organic farms only.

we have mobiles here too folks, but most bees are not near them, maybe usa has many more towers out of suburbia?

normal power lines (high voltage) do affect bees, however about 1000 feet away is safe. chemicals are the most likely issue and gm crops.

We have labs creating new illnesses just to sell new drugs, but the truth be told this earth left to nature, has many more benefits than all the scientific tampering promoted by man. As a Christian I believe as the Bible says that we shall die in a polluted land, and not by any accident of nature. I have seen my enemy and he is my fellow man, and he goes by the title "GREEDY."

Homa Therapy as described in the Ayurvedic texts has been shown in numerous countries throughout the world where it is being practiced to acctually facilitate the return of the macro and micro fauna of the soil including bees and earth worms. Soils destroyed by chemical fertilizers and pesticides are being rejuvenated in areas once used to grow coca to make the drug cocaine. There are entire zones that were destroyed when the U.S. Army sprayed chemicals to eradicate the crops of coca. If one drop fell onto your car it would put a hole in it. These highly toxic areas in the High Mountains have been given to the poor farmers to use to grow crops. At first nothing would grow. So then fertilzers and other chemicals were offered but they helped very little and cost more money than they could return. When Homa Organic Farming techniques were used in three months from the start results began to come in that astonished everyone. See the results at www.homa1.com Homa is easy to practice and has many healing benefits. It seems that today we need to perform these Homas just to keep things normal so much damage has been done to the planet. The honey bee is our alarm clock. Let's not hit the snooze button. This is our very existance at stake here. The simplest Homa which is the King of all Homas is called Agnihotra. This simple yet powerful Homa will assure the return of the bees to their colonies.
