Thanks for the comments. I now drink two cups of boiled bottled water instead of coffe every morning. That doctor at the local hospital gave me Lanoxin to take but it makes me tired like hell. Plus I seem to get a pressure on my sternum. I don't know if it is the after effects of the defibrillations I had because the Doc put so much pressure on those paddles, I suppose to get a good contact. I did'nt realize that getting older was so horrible. I was probably a bit dehydrated before that experience due to all the walking and waiting too long for lunch. I felt really good walking that day. The sky was blue and it was a nice temperature. Not like the hot sticky heat we had been having. Then bang my life changed.

Yerba mate contains caffeine, it is high in trace minerals, chlorophyll, eases digestion, and is antioxidant rich.

Several days ago on the newspaper, there was an article about how high dose B vitamins do not help Alzheimers patients and may even worsen depression. It's most likely that the doses were too high and the synthetic vitamins were derived from petroleum.

To be healthy, we need to alkalize our bodies as disease will disappear in an alkaline body. Even Cancer being a fungus, will wither and die in an alkaline environment and will thrive in an acidic environment.

These drinks that are being pushed at us constantly are killing us because of the acidity. Most of them are 2.5PH which means that they are 50,000 times more acidic than Neutral PH which is 7.0. Do the math yourself; each point on the PH scale is a multiple of 10... This is how it works, 6.0 is 10 times more acidic than 7.0PH and 5.0PH is 100 times more acidic than 7.0 PH. That means that 5.5PH would be half way between 10x and 100x or 50 times more acidic than neutral at 7.0. When you take that down to the PH of these drinks at 2.5PH it comes out to 50,000 times more acidic.

What this means in reality. If you drink one 12 OZ container of this acid drink, everyone has their favorite; you would have to drink 3.5 gallons of 9.5PH Whole Life Water just to neutralize that one 12 OZ drink of acidic poison. So many of us are addicted and no one even knows it or talks about it. Now they have super big gulps to really quench your thirst.

Since your blood must maintain apron. 7.365 PH for you to stay alive, you must get a lot of alkalinity from somewhere to counteract that acidity. This doesn't even take into account the acidity that every cell in your body produces as a result of burning nutrients from food and Oxygen to produce energy that we all must have to be alive.

When you crank up the power usage by adding all that caffeine and sugar we produce even more acidic waste that must be removed. When I was a child, children didn't get cancer and now it is #1 killer. Go figure.

re: Caffeine Experts Call for Warning Labels for Energy Drinks

Dear Albro,

Caffeine is alright, just not in combination with fluoridated water. Bottled water is available in 3 types. Drinking water is just same as tap water. Distilled water has all minerals taken out and people with kidney problems should use this one. Spring water is the best as it is high in calcium and magnesium.

The drinks in this article are probably processed with fluoridated water that results in even higher fluorides content than the tap water.

Request from your utilities dept. the AWWA Standard for the type fluoridation agent used in your drinking water. Most often used is the liquid form that is easier to apply to the drinking water system: Fluorosilicic Acid. The standard for it is: AWWA Standard for Fluorosilicic Acid B703-06, all are commercial grade and have an entire page of contaminants, heavy metals as lead, arsenic and more and after the EPA made analysis, they now note radionuclides as uranium and radium 226-228, since the source is the phosphate fertilizer industry, the EPA in 1970, required them to use the wet scrubber method to capture the gases of uranium and fluorine.
The Journal of Dental Research, Special Issue, Vol. 69, Feb. 1990, Worldwide Symposium on Fluorides. Posters No. 7, page 827, "Effect of Co-administration of Fluoride and Methylxanthine-containing Beverages on Plasma Fluoride Levels in Rats". "Co-administration of fluoride and tea or Coca-Cola resulted in a significantly higher plasma fluoride level than intake of the same amount of fluoride in decaffeinated beverages. Approximately a two-fold difference in bioavailability."

Elemental Fluorine is the most reactive of all and will combine with all elements except argon, helium and neon, but The Merck Index notes it will combine with them as well. Some combinations can be synergistic as Dr. Mercola notes. Calcium is the one that in high dietary levels, can form insoluble complexes, making it unabsorbable from the gastrointestinal tract. I had my coffee first thing in the morning whilst checking my email, then had a huge breakfast. I decided to run some errands, I ended up walking for 4 hours and became very hungry. As I had nothing in the fridge I decided to walk to the grocery store to buy my late lunch. When I got home my heart rate went up and didnt stop, I started feeling dizzy so decided to call the ambulance, I went out side and felt a bit better but still the tachycardia continued. I told the ambulance man that maybe I dont need him because it might stop on its own, He got mad with me and said "Madame what can we do for you?" I told him I will call you back later. He then said an ambulance was on the way. They arrived in 3 minutes. I got on the stretcher and the ambulance man took my pulse which was around 214 beats per minute. Plus my blood pressure was very low.. At the hospital in the Code Room I was hooked up. IV electrodes etc. They tried medication which had no effect then suddenly the doc put two large paddles on my ribs and gave me a big jolt with no effect. Considering I was fully concious and felt everything I told the doc please no more. He then came with the big paddles and pressed down so hard and left them on what seemed like forever. My whole body went stiff like a board, I couldnt breath, my brain had a zooming sound that went through my spine and every nerve in my body, I was fighting off the electric shock by forcing breath out of my lungs and letting out a long forced moan. When he took off the paddles I was shaking so much my legs were bouncing up and down on the bed, I was totally traumatized and still am. Now I am on a waiting list to see a heart surgeon, in Canada this takes months, then I can have a surgery to correct the problem if I havent already died in the waiting process. I am not allowed to drink coffee, tea or coke and no chocolate.

Seems I remember very recent articles from health sites (I don't remember which ones, maybe here or HSI, or...) that said drinking coffee (caffinated) was GOOD for you and was given their blessing. Several good health effects were noted (Iforget which). But, it made me feel good as a coffee drinker finding out that.

So, the caffine in coffee is GOOD, and now, the caffine in coffee is BAD. So, whats new? You get a YES and a NO at the same time. ???

I think I need an asperin!

(but, I'll keep drinking my coffee.)
