Hardly ever asking questions to draw me into the conversation. It's people like that that de-energise you, making you feel, what's the point in talking. She only wants to listen to her own voice. When trying to get a word in, she can't wait to jump in & take back control.

Suffering severe tinnitus the protocol is 'smile and nod'. Will cover ninety percent of of comments directed your way, however, the other ten percent, whoa! The peculiar 'look' on their face tells you 'should have frowned and shook the head' on that one. Amazed at the total insensitivity to this affliction. Doc tells you 'live with it'. Vast majority do not. Take care.

Don't fidget, scratch, rub your nose, dig in your pocket, etc. You may write notes, but quickly, and ask questions to clarify. You'll have him in the palm of your hand.
