The Music you listen to can be the source of your neuro networked mind/personality, it's like software for the brain providing emotional perameters. Music or sound is the 2nd stage future of health. it repairs DNA (528hz) , it can regrow teeth (ultrasound), it can increase IQ (studies from the Mozart Effect) , some now burried studies show that it can destroy cancer cells because they can't adapt to scales changing and explode.

A bit off topic here but I conclude the importance of shifting our focus on the music we choose for our health & lifestyle:

Why are we having more diseases? perhaps because CD's limited sound resolution to only basic hearing range when the now new audio format (DVD-Audio) will provide beyond human hearing up to 40,000 khz (with speakers that have the same frequency range) Many of us are only exposing our ears to sound using headphones when in fact the whole body needs it! Of all the statements I made, if your looking for proof just google it.

One of the best things about the Mercola site - so many resources. I know quite a number - excellent. I've previously gotten a couple of resouces, when they were recommended by Mercola. I've bookmarked this page to be able to come back when I have a bit more time to check into more of what's recommended.

Thank you for sharing - for the generosity of spirit that makes you want to share.

My own passions - good thinking and creativity. Also, succeeding and health.

My own site - The Creativity Emporium -

Maybe the thing I share most with Mercola is the strong impulse to share what I've found - so I'm a teacher.

This is the first time I've taken the time to respond because this was just such an amazing collection of information. Thank you, Joseph. For sharing and for creating an amazing site with huge traffic that gets lots of your message out.

Kids should be taught to question, question, question.

Most of the 'facts' I was taught in school (admittedly a long time ago!) are now way out of date and completely useless. Teach children to think for themselves and work things out.

In government and Economics during my senior year of high skool the teacher would spend a majority of the time bragging about her daughter who just got THEE JOB driving the Oscar meyer weiner truck around the country.,,

no joke... its the most information i really consciously recall getting from that class. We each received a Weiny whistle and the only forms we ever looked at was a tax form. :)

hmmm....

Look at skools in various neighborhoods too. There is a Clear and Huge difference in the methods used to educate people depending on the careers of their parents. Rich people go to rich people skools...and even the public skools have their 'class system'.... how can we stop this unfair hierarchy of priveledge?...i guess give everyone the best quality of life possible.~

I think this is a great list also. My 'formal' education provided about 20% of it... the rest came as a result of many seminars and additional courses over the past 15 years since graduation.

It's OK though... I love being a student for life!

(I just wish someone would have taught me "righty-tighty - lefty-loosey" MUCH earlier!!! lol!)

Then we'd talk about how to spend the money for "today's pleasure" rather than learn how to apply it wisely for future investment. The "teacher" who was head of this club would only observe. She didn't interject herself among the mindless banter of kids who didn't want to leave any money for the next business club members. Then my parents would complain to me that I didn't learn anything from school.

Unfortunately, a lot of that philosophy has carried over to today's kids wherein they really don't care much about these life skills or future generations; it's not that they don't care. It's because they see that the adults don't care, so they're just following adult examples.

We can complain all we want about this situation, but what really matters is setting proper example for the kids - as indicated by Robert Kiyosaki. Think and act for the future, so your kids can follow in kind.

You are duly welcome to come visit my classroom anytime. Just sign in at the office. In my classroom, you will see children working on negotiation skills (finding a place to sit - no assigned seats in my room, using classroom materials first/second, etc.), money management/savings (earning points to "buy" something out of the class basket) and goal-setting (what skills - behavioral and academic - they're willing to work on for the week and how they will achieve it, plus - bonus! - self-evaluation of goal at the end of the week). What I will not teach is how to read a bank statement because the only ones I have access to are my own and since I know how to manage my money, I am a comfortable (financially-speaking) teacher. I'm not willing to share my personal numbers with my students. This is a PARENT obligation and there are plenty of places to learn (community colleges and library programs). Since most teachers ARE poor, they could teach it pretty darn well as we need to manage our money very, very carefully.

Dr. Mercola, usually you are right on the mark. I suppose, generally speaking, this article is correct. However, not all teachers run around like robots. Some of us use our own brains and teach what's necessary, not necessarily what we're told to teach. It's a dangerous line to walk, but it's worth the gamble.

See you in my classroom!
