Ron Paul=Deregulation. Just leave it to the marketplace is what got us here.

The conservative model is busted b/c republicans can never put it into practice.

They are great at getting elected but after that it's a free for all like we had for

6 of the last 8 yrs. Then you have guys like Kudlow who makes ppl take a

loyalty oath like back in the 50's "i believe in free mkt capitalism" until his

investor class gets in trouble.

You know, Ron Paul is a good guy and the messenger we need but he can never be a serious

candidate. He can also never be wrong b/c he will never have to deal with the realities of

running a major political party where you have to make wrong decisions b/c the right decisions

will get you thrown out of office. You have to handle major conflicts within your own party

and the opposition. This is where the republican criminal class ran astray.

They figured since you can't really get anything done with such a divergent and politically

ignorant population all you need to do is spread the wealth to your base supporters, lie,

cheat and steal whatever you can that will contribute to republican hegemony.

I like the ppl Mercola uses like Forbes to get his message across. Old trickle down

Reaganomics republican nonsense. Where was Forbes for the last 8 years while

republicans were spending like drunken democrats, where Bush didn't veto one

freaking pork bill until the mocrats too over and then it was time *to be fiscally

responsible*. Bush was making a joke out of the political system which helped

cause something called "The Global Derivatives Crisis". Funny thing b/c when

we had the last Bush(41)in office we had something called "The S&L Bailout Crisis"

to the tune of 75 billion for Texas homeboy S&L's alone. So Mercola, let's hear

your wonderful opinions on climate change while we're at it.

And in a currency crisis (USD) that Social Security check, that bank CD, that Treasury bond, that insurance annuity becomes worthless. Sorry, but that is the reality.

If you don't have the presence of mind to get some of your money into gold and silver that you hold (not paper), then you deserve what happens to you. I would advise anyone to stop making house payments for a few months and get that money into metals. It takes a least a year before a bank can get you out of your house. And a bank will forgive anyone in these times who starts making their house payment again. Otherwise, I plan on being able to buy your house with an ounce of gold.

The price of gold and silver are artificially depressed right now, but I can still buy a gallon of gas for a silver quarter.

I concur that the coterie of the powerful do want to keep the masses unhealthy and uneducated and fearful--everything seems to point to this: FDA, GMO, PHARMA, EPA, Wall St., CODEX, etc. I believe we, first individually, must resist complacency and not let 'them' win. Thank you, Dr. Mercola, for this opportunity to express our thoughts. Here's my (random) two cents:

Most of us don't have a good grasp on what is going on. Don't look to me - I'm as confused as everyone here. I'm doubting everything that I thought I knew. What I'm seeing from the comments here is that there is an overwhelming sense of pain and fear. I'm thinking that we have been too trusting of our government. Democracy needs constant evaluations and constraint and we haven't done that. Silverfish disappear when the lights are turned on, but that doesn't mean that they're gone.

I didn't believe in "trickle down" theories when I first heard of it, and I really don't think it ever can work. The rich are not rich because they are so loose with their money. I wish that there was a way to stop the government from printing money to prop up the rich - Oh wait, maybe that could be Ron Paul! He is getting my write-in vote. Maybe he's not cut out of the same material as the other politicians, but I'm thinking that there was a guy named David that took on a giant - and he won!

But it's more than money. We've been lied to and stolen from. Evil is the only thing that I can see that's trickling down. We need to support each other and help each other, because the next couple of years is going to be rough.

How many of us would be able to farm our own vegetables and raise our own herds of various proteins in *order* to sustain livelihood? Irregardless of who is voted in, do the math: we outnumber them! Our voice, our buying power (and YES, we still have it) actually control THEM. Once we stop listening to the news, reading the news and we stop watching the commercials we become de-programmed.

Once we stop taking prescriptions, we become de-programmed.

Once we stop eating processed foods, fast foods, GMO's, soda's, et al, we become healthier individuals.

Once we take our lunch break outside in the sunshine or even on a cloudy day, we become healthier.

Believe me when I say that THEY want us to bicker back and forth about THEM. They want to create a hostile environment where everyone is fighting amonst themselves about THEM.

We, together and not individually are much stronger. Somehow, someway, we have to band together and create a force not to be reckened with. We have to stand up and be heard.

We can vote, but to me it is a hoax: like 911, like the man on the moon, like who really shot JFK and all the other scams THEY created.

The world is laughing at us. God help us all.

That may all be true, but you are forgetting some important economic indicators.

since all this started oil and commodities have fallen by over 60%

this alone should offset inflation with lower production costs and lower imported goods from the strengthening dollar.

and further, what would be the correct way to do things? let wall streat go down the drain and take us all with it?

On the face of it the possibilities are dire indeed!

By voting you 'lend' your political power to the candidate who best reflects your ideals and hopes.

One by one we are all small and quiet.

The task of your elected representatives is to work for you- to be your voice.

If they are not doing the job for which they have been employed you withdraw the power you have lent them by voting for someone else.

Taxation exists to pay for the infrastructure - all the things required by a society which are too large and expensive to be paid for privately....communication, roads, hospitals, education etc.

The revenue is held in trust for the people who have paid it and is supposed to be spent on their behalf.

So- if your elected spokespersons do NOT do their jobs and mismanage your money what should you- as their employers -do?

Karen L, are you implying we should pay no tax at all? So where would the money come from for basic infrastructure - roads, hospitals, schools, parks, libraries, public transport etc, etc?

You will probably never get two people to agree on how our taxes are spent, but they still seem necessary for the things that individuals can't achieve.

Explain how to stay positive for so many with no home, no job, no benefits and unemployment rates pushing 20% minimum if the statistics accurately reported those that fell off the unemployment benefits and outside of the arbitrary specs used to calculate unemployment.

There's no reason for a Depression other than our leaders including ALL in CONGRESS who have failed to do their job. The Courts, SEC are all involved in the corruption.

Who's going to supply healthcare and pay for medicine? for all the unemployed and no benefits? Even the Public-Aid centers are refusing patients. You can get better car in a war zone.

It's easy to stay positive with essentials, like a place to sleep or call home, food, healthcare/benefits and God. Basic Needs are better in 3rd world countries than in the U.S. now.

The American People would be a lot better off if a Plan included the POWER to back it.

Ron Paul is the best choice for President and should be on the ballot. I will write his name in.

It seems that this is about health in many ways, mental health.

The current economic and political situation is very symptomatic of something called denial.

It appears that the vast majority of the public are not even aware of the serious mess that is ahead for the People.

We have a communist who is actually running for the office of president B.O.

This individual has no interest in upholding the constitution and in fact is against it.

Our economy is under the control of a small group of power elite and has been for years. Foreign bankers-the fed!

The US is involved in a war that is unjust and a ruse presented as the need for revenge for the 911 travesty.

The killing of the people of the middle east in Iraq is a terrible and insane action that should never have happened. The insane actions of the Israelis the mass killing of the Palestinians is not right.

The people of the US are just being made folls of by the powers that be. The blood that is on the hands of the government is a horror beyond belief.

The commies said they would take us with out firing a shot. it seems that this is happening.

Ron Paul tells the truth and most of the people can not even hear it.

Perhaps we had all had better pray and seek forgiveness and maybe a miracle will happen.

Oh well the truth is hard to accept often. In this case it is a cruel reality.
