In this hilarious video from Laughyourway.com, comedian Mark Gungor gives you one theory having to do with the differences between men’s brains and women’s brains. The world is shades of gray with a little black and white sprinkled in. In college I had a business class that focused on the psychology of the workplace and one of the main parts of the class was the subject of introversion and extroversion and how to work with different types of people. This is where the real difference in the brain is and not men vs. women. I'm an introverted guy and don't think like a lot of other guys. I'm not necessarily shy, but just like to do my own thing.

Marti Olsen Laney has a good series of books if anyone cares to look more at how the brain works for different people.

Like I said, he was humorous and a good entertainer, but I would sure hope nobody takes anything he says seriously. I may have to find him and take him to the library and show him there's more out there than those goofy Men are from Mars books!

A man's brain is divided into 2 parts:

Da RIGHT

and

Da LEFT !

In da RIGHT nothing is left

and

In da LEFT nothing is right!

NOW do you understand why they struggle!!

And we're bad sports if we don't join in with the yucks. Women operate on emotion not critical thinking, Dr. Mercola? The reason men (like myself) work on projects so much trying to get 'done with it all' is that then, when all finished, they will be able to rest in pure consciousness, with nothing to do, only to rest - to be - in pure beingness.

Of course, we know that the to-do list is endless.

That's why meditation is so necessary and let's us be in the nothing box in our minds. This is why Buddhism and similar energy streams were started by men.

Sure, many men don't like to go to the doctor, sometimes because of laziness, but for those I know, mostly it's because we know that not every little thing needs to be checked. Women often go for every little pain and most of the time such things are either nothing, or cause by diet, stress, etc. Many times doctors don't go because men know more so that as Mercola points out what a scam most doctors are. They just want to get you on more drugs and surgery, so the more you go, the greater their chances of conning someone into something they don't need.

Well if I've only dated/married or been around impatient women and that number is in the thousands through many big NY companies I've worked with and chatted online and far more through secondary means, then that means that the majority are in fact that way, at least in this NYC area.

I'm well aware of that other places in the US and other countries, people are different as the local lifestyle has a lot to do with it too, hence the women and their shoe obsession for example. But I also know that it surely exists outside the US to...Amelda Marcos from the Phil comes to mind, lol.

Stubborn men who won't go to the doctor for any reason, well that's just ego and pride. Not wanting to wait in line is laziness born of the society as a whole. There are exceptions to any general rule and both men and women have cross traits, but I speak of a general 80/20 rule in regards to various male and female traits that fit in with each gender accordingly.

I'm a single father raising my daughter on my own and taking care of my mother too, but I still find time to relax and do nothing, meditate and workout, even if only a few minutes here and there. Though you may not find time to shoe shop, I'm not speaking of what you actually do, but as the comedian talked about, the general trait that women are basically feet obsessed whether it's painting toe nails, having 300 pairs of shoes.

Take care

re: Men's Brains, Women's Brains

The amazing thing about this skit is- it is based on real neuroscience.

It has been observed that the increased compartmentalization of the male brain occurs in the womb, apparently as a result of high levels of testosterone in the womb. It has even been observed that women who had higher than normal testosterone surrounding them in the womb have more compartmentalized brains, and are more adept at the extreme level of focused thought that normally is the specialty of men.

This most commonly occurs with girls who were born with a male twin (which stimulates the mother's womb to push up the testosterone). Even if the male twin doesn't survive, the effect has made its mark on the girl's brain.

This doesn't make one brain superior to another. "He has a one-track mind" is as much a handicap as the ability to focus unwaveringly on a specific process is an advantage.

Male size and vulnerability are the principle causes of male domination. Hopefully, modern societies will eventually overcome these physiological and psychological differences to end male and/or female domination due to fundamental differences. The first step is to recognize, accomodate and appreciate these differences for everyone's benefit. Peace.

And why? Because we refuse to simply look to OUR CREATOR instead! And then we wonder WHY this world is so messed up, and WHY there is so much confusion between the sexes over proper roles of male and female. Our nation is in SAD shape! The home, which is the building block of society, is being destroyed. And at the root of it all is SIN! Ever since Eden, where this whole mess began, we have struggled to figure out the HOW and WHY of male-female relationships. And until we are willing to humble ourselves and acknowledge our sinfulness, and our need of Jesus Christ to save us from our sins, things will only continue to get WORSE AND WORSE! And that certainly isn't funny!

Yes, we've had other comedians say, "I feel your pain" and his successor apparently not feeling any and inflicting pain on thousands.

Then we've had the ultimate empath who wanted to feel the pain of humanity, so they nailed him to the cross. Not surprisingly, in his last hours he was surrounded by a lot of women, who connected with his experience, no doubt because they were more attuned to pain through their biological makeup. It is said that if men experienced the pain of childbirth there would be no humanity. It would be interesting to have studies which might show the rewiring of the brain following the experience of pain. This might be the basis for taking on the "via dolorosa" or the way of suffering as the only path to love and enlightenment. Might enlightenment mean connecting the left and the right brain hemisphere and the male and female counterpoints of our persona?
