It's so hard to know what to do. I chose not to give my children or myself the flu shot this year. Then I got a guilt trip from our pediatrician. They carried a preservative free flu shot, so I got our 18 month old the shot. They ran out of the preservative free before I could get my 3 yr. old the shot. She did not get the shot at all. Well they both ended up getting the flu. The 3 yr. old has it the worst since she did not get the flu shot. It has been horrible! It makes me want to get her the shot from now on. Then I read these articles and I'm so confused on what to do. I feel like everyone who knows we did not get her the shot, thinks were are horrible parents and that we are crazy. I want to do the right thing. What really does work?

I have found that zinc and C lozenges cut 'down time' with colds and flu.

No idea what the permissable dose is for children.

But I have also found that if I take twice the recommended dose at the first signs(day one only), sometimes I can actually avoid the illness altogether!

Homeopathic medicines can prevent and cure the flu. A medicine available at most health food stores is Oscillococcinum. It can cure the flu if taken as directed within 24 hours of the onset of the flu. (Actually, just a cap full of the medicine acts just as well as taking the whole vial as directed.) My grandfather was a doctor and gave all the family flu shots at home up until I was seven years old. The last time I had the flu was the last year I received a flu shot at seven years old. I've never done research on the issue, but I just always found it interesting that while growing up most of my friends who received the flu shot became sick either with the flu or something else during the winter. The most I ever had problems with was the occasional cold and allergies and asthma.

However, that's a whole other story in and of itself. They all but disappeared as soon as my stepmother stopped allowing me to drink as much milk as I wanted.

Think of all the money being spent on useless vaccines. Imagine how much better off we would all be if we instead spent this money on educating the masses on the importance of eating real whole foods with a minimum of 9 servings of fruits and vegetables daily or even supplying fresh fruits and vegetables to the people. Even supplying a daily multvitamin would be more benificial that flu shots and it wouldn't contain all of the harmful adjuncts that we inject into people with the vaccines

We all pay for this useless vaccine system through higher insurance costs and taxes. It is our money that is being wasted here. We have the most expensive health care (disease care) system in the world and we rank for from the top for healthiest. It is time we stop allowing the system to steal our money.and instead demand that our health care dollars be spent on promoting true helath not just illusions

While it is true that aluminum hydroxide acts synergistically with thimerosal to cause even more damage, flu vaccines do NOT contain aluminum hydroxide. I checked the product inserts of all of the 2008-2009 flu vaccines released be the FDA for this season, and did not see aluminum hydroxide listed on the description for any of them. The product inserts can be found here: www.fda.gov/.../Flu2008.htm . Still, no flu shots for me or any of mine!

By example we need to teach our children the basics, of hand washing, and covering their mouths in the event of a cough, or a sneeze. You would be surprised how many adults do not follow these rules. Also one must also be about keeping ones enviroment as clean as possible, and I am not talking about being excessive. Next and foremost maintain you immune system, with the basics.

And we need a flu shot why?

At the risk of sounding completely ignorant, what I am missing is: would the 35,000 people that died from the "flu" (pneumonia) have gotten pneumonia anyway that season and died, or if they had gotten the flu vaccine, would that have at all prevented them getting the flu that led to the pneumonia? I know not all flu cases lead to fatal consequenses, and I wonder how many of the fatalities due to flu already DID get the vaccine...is that mentioned at all in the statistics?

I am NOT a proponent of vaccines AT ALL and have not gotten my two little ones vaccinated, but what is the answer to the above question? I totally believe and subscribe to Dr. Mercola's thinking, but this is not addressed when he talks about the flu - or is he just saying "have a healthy lifestyle and you should be getting sick in the first place".

There are no viruses!

No one has ever isolated, photographed and biochemically characterised a "virus", period!

What medical dogma calls 'viruses' are bits and pieces of protein, building materials to do body repairs with.

The criminal actions of the pharmaceutical establishment, aided and abetted by the orthodox medical cartel should be dealt with, the way one deals with a rogue elephant! The so called justice system is also corrupt and needs to be overhauled from the ground up.

Why are we like so many sheep willingly being led to slaughter? Why are the most able bodied people being sent to useless, criminally instigated wars to meet out horrible death and die horribly also ?

With the exerts of the statistics from Dr. Mercola's article listed below it is no wonder that so many adults have accumulated enough toxins from Mercury and aluminum to cause adults to be affected in staggering numbers from Alzheimer's disease. After all the numbers for both diseases today are rising together and are similar in nature. The more mature the victim the more accumulated the nasty substances. If you start babies off SAP on slices of fruit, greens (broccolli, peas and beans, dates, raisins and so on), they grow up thinking it's normal to eat that kind of food. which it should be. Do them a favour, build up their immune system, don't fall for the myth of vaccination.
Some idiot injected cow dung into his child to see what happens, that's how that came about.
If you want to give them "a treat", make it a bunch of seedless grapes if they are trained correctly they'll love them.
Much better for them than Maccas Canola (not even an oil) laced fries, and dubious "beef" patties in a sugared white bread bun.

I found a little more on the story by typing "children immunizations" into google.com I was floored at all the toxic substances from cancer viruses to mercury (it short circuits the brain ) in them and other poisons all for the eugenics programs that are being carried out on Us right Now!!

It seems the media is not entirely silent on telling the truth about these kind of things. But does this make everyone rethink or question it? It's not going to turn the tide overnight. I think this proves how powerful the propaganda is.

If eventually the tide does turn and I hope I see that day, pharmaceutical industries and the government will not give up. They'll defend it to the death, when there's money to go around.
