The discovery surprised the researchers, who were investigating the incidence of DNA fragmentation of sperm.
I loathe margerine - as far as I am concerned the PUFAs in margerine and refined PUFA cooking oils are the main contributors to the epidemic of allergy, inflammation and atopia in our populations.

Nutritionalists have stated that the optimum ratio of omega 3:6 is 1:1 - usage of the refined PUFAs can cause an overall ratio heavily in favour of the omega 6 oils, disrupting your prostaglandin cycle.

The prostaglandin cycle also requires adequate levels of vitamins and minerals to function effectively- especially the B group vitamins.

If you wish to have children, please endeavour to have a balanced diet.

Avoid excessive Omega 3 oils, ensure adequate intake of foods rich in nutrients and minus antinutrients like preservatives, refined sugar, artificial sweeteners and trans fats, and address any deficiencies. B12 and folic acid can be supplemented, as can vitamin D3

You can be sure they are thinking of a disinformation campaign, even as we read through this.......

Any large group will have about one third of the group will have more than avarage levels to a statistically significant level.

These numbers do not say vitamin D in the blood is not needed for fertility, nor do they say it is.

If 90% of infertile males had a vitamin D serum level that is below some critical level, and all fertile males had a D serum level above that critical level, we would be describing something convincing. This may be true. This is not stated.

I suffered with infertility and other health problems for years. REs told me I would never conceive. After two years of intravenous vitamin therapy and using natural hormones I was able to get pregnant at the age of 41. The other benefit is that my daughter is an extremly healthy child. Thank you Dr. Mercola
