I am not against all vacines, either, as Dr. Mercola says, but I am against mandatory vaccinations. With the mercury in these vaccines, we will never see the ending to the neurological destruction this will cause on our population.

I have to agree with dherto and have a funny story to tell about a school nurse that I butted heads with several years ago. She was determined to keep my kids out of school because I refuse to have them vaccinated. I said "Listen lady, just give me the exemption forms, I know you have them back there." She shot me a dirty look and went to retrieve them. When she came back she went on a tirade about how stupid I was and that when (not if) my kids come down with these deadly diseases they will not be allowed to come to school! (Huh?) Anyway, I simply asked her in a very innocent way as to convey that I might give in, "Do all the other children have their shots?" Very matter-of-fact she said "Oh yes." and proceeded to try and give me a list of places I could go to get them. I said "Well, if all the other children have their shots, then why would these diseases be circulating, and why would you be worried about them being exposed?" She just about choked and after a moment of enjoying her discomfort, I just said, "You're an idiot!" and walked out.

I live in Australia and have noted a steady decline of health in the general population of the last fourty years. Increases in every kind of known illness - diabetes, cancer, neuro disorders and psychological disorders. chronic fatigue, allergies etc etc.....and new diseases to boot....And 'flu' is just everywhere, pasty faced people coughing and spluttering around the place........ ! It is all clearly commensurate with the decline of Planet Earth .... but whatever the true root cause of our ailments - radiation, pollution, 'white noise' etc look to shore up your immune system - Until we can 'heal' the planet this is our first line of defense. p.s. I noticed at the beginning of Dr. Mercola's comments, he stated he is not opposed to all vaccines, which ones are you not opposed to? If he isn't able to respond, does anyone know from previous articles which ones he may not be opposed to? Please advise...Thanks!

Homeopthy has safe, effective, oral immunizations for the flu. Oscillococcinum available at most health food stores (take only a capfull instead of the whole vial to save money) or Influenza available at homeopathic pharmacies. Those is New Jersey ~ I would take this seriously enough to either pull my child out and homeschool or move to another state. There is NO WAY I would allow them force this on me or my children. My clinic apologized to me this year when they gave my daughter a shot that I didn't approve... and now it can't be undone. I think they knew they had stepped over the bounds without my consent, but they probably figured apology was better than permission. I don't like that. Other than my firstborn who had his immunizations until I became informed, she is the only other of my 5 children who has had anything besides Tetanus. There are a lot more things besides Mercury to be afraid of in those immunizations.

Chicken pox is a respiratory disorder, which can have serious complications. The pox are only one symptom, but is noticeable because it is visible.

However, most of the itching of the pox can be skipped if all sugar is avoided as much as is possible. The skin can also be calmed with calamine lotion and tepid baths with bicarbonate of soda or Pinetarsol added.

I have no information on the contents of the vaccination - but I can tell you the immunity conferred by immunisation OR infection is not for life.

My father-to his embarassment - not only had chickenpox during his childhood, but also in his 60's. He did expect that, at 60 odd years of age he would get shingles rather than chickenpox!

I often wonder about how much of the lower rates of mortality from many diseases is actually due to better every day hygiene rather than vaccinations/immunizations?

And how one would go about discovering such information?

I can accept that some immunizations may be desirable, if (say) you are travelling to a part of the world in which there are diseases against which you have no immunity.

I read a science fiction novel many years ago and am unable to recall its title. In it, the government of the day required all citizens to have their vaccinations. Lo - many years later - quick die off of persons with congenital disorders, and sudden fertility problems in all but the highest levels of society.

Perhaps I read too much science fiction. But an awful lot of it seems predictive in hindsight.

Anyone else view 'I am legend' at the cinema? The vacination was a cure for cancer which killed off or changed almost everyone who had the shot or encountered the air-born variant.

And also, I've read other comments on here where parents KNEW these vaccines were bad, BUT THEY WENT ALONG WITH THE MANDATES LIKE GOOD LITTLE SHEEP !!!!

That is LUDICROUS !!!!

And PLEASE don't accuse me of being judgemntal or mean-spirited. Anyone who is on this site should know better than to shoot your kids up with ANY vaccination.

HELP!

I need any suggestion on the chicken pox vaccine, varivax?

When my children were very young they were given the varivax vaccine and many others which I have later regretted. I have not given them any others since I have 'woken up' but the doctor insists they need the booster/second shot of varivax.

I have said NO to it along with the flu shot, gardasil for my daughter and whatever else they believe the children need. Does anyone know if it is bad not to get the booster since they already received the first shot? I would rather they get the chicken pox then have the vaccine.

They are now 16 & 15 and they hardly ever get a cold. They also hardly had colds or anything else when they were little, not even ear infections.

Looking at the list of vaccines they have already gotten in their young lives makes me sick; there are so many :(

Could tetanus vaccine have played any role what so ever in the last fraction of a percent in tetanus reduction?

NO! In a sanitary society with adequate nutrition, natural immunity to the bacteria gives almost everybody immunity against the bacteria's ability to grow in a healthy body.

It is a far different matter where the conditions prevail which encourage the tetanus bacteria's growth. Nobody can be immune to dirty wounds. Immunity to dirty wounds can not come from vaccination; immunity to dirty wounds can not come from having had tetanus one or more times and recovering.

The vaccine's "active" ingredient is the poison which is made by the bacteria. Antibodies against poison do not constitute an immunization.

Wound hygiene is essential, general good health is protective and vaccination is worthless.

Lets look at a bit more history from the medical literature. It has always been known that war-time historically showed up the highest rate of tetanus. Far higher than in civilians. Bullet/schrapnel wounds and all, and the stress of fighting.

Boer war .28 of every thousand wounded got tetanus.

Am. Civil war 2.0 per thousand

Western front (Flanders horse country WWI average 1.47/thousand wounded. 2nd world war varied from .06 - .43 per thousand. ( and not everyone there was vaccinated either. In the paper on the American Tetanus cases, most who got tetanus had been vaccinated....)

Rusty nails account for less that 40% of tetanus. Most tetanus comes where there is no discernable "portal of entry".

Now, if you have a look at Tetanus in America, one of the most interesting articles is a 1969 one from the New England Medical Journal, Volume 280, Number 11, March 13. And on pages 570 there is a really interesting decline graph for mortality rates, which shows that the mortality rate plummetted dramatically from 64/100,000 in 1900 to 8/100,000 in 1940. By 1950, with most mothers still unvaccinated, it was 4.5/100,000.

Then there was the study in JAMA Nov 19, 1982, Volume 248, No 19, in which a large number of the unvaccianted Amish showed serological evidence of immunity to both diphtheria and tetanus.

(Incidentally, the same was thought about rabies (that there is no natural immunity), until a recent study showed that in Alaskan trappers who had never had any vaccine, they too had antibodies. Poof goes that theory)

As with all vaccines, the tetanus vaccine used today is toxic.

General good health, including nutritional status is important in who aquires tetanus and how severe the case is. Vitamin C used in treatment cuts mortality.
