Just saw Dr. Becker's clip on titering for the rabies vaccine to avoid unnecessary boosters. My thought is can we do this for children to avoid unnecessary boosters? Is titering the way they determine varicella exposure?

I homeschool my 5 yr old, BECAUSE I was a substitute teacher for almost 3 years, in 3 school districts. After seeing what goes on in 100's of classrooms, I decided that I just couldn't send my children there. Let me say that I believe most teachers are wonderful souls, totally dedicated to children. My father was a teacher for 30+ yrs and he did without $ or prestiege to do what he loved.

That said, when I taught in schools, I was horrified at the amt of time children spend standing in lines to go outside, to come back inside, etc etc (my sister's kids are in K and 1st grade, and this is their main complaint). This is. added with the 30 min to take roll, another HOUR each day to wait for everyone to be on the same page 15 x's a day, etc. I thought this was ridiculous, but because of logistics, is required in school.

It didn't matter which district I worked in, the lunches were ALWAYS horrible. I would never feed my kids the garbage the gov't provides. Some schools were even feeding the kids Taco Bell burritos EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK as a menu option! And almost every school served the cheapo $5 pizzas delivered to their door every Friday. I wonder if parents know this???

I also saw that the slower learners took most of the time of the teachers, and quicker learners languish while the others are catered to, and have to catch up. My sister (genius IQ) hated school, because she was given xtra worksheets to do which didn't challenge her- God forbid tat she get ahead of the other students!

Now I homeschool, and my son gets not only much socialization, but strong moral direction from Mom and Dad, and can interact with people of all ages. My kids are hardly ever sick (don't vaccinate), while ALL of their cousins have eczema, allergies, chronic ear infections, etc etc. Over Christmas, we saw family, and I was annoyed at the unruly state-educated cousins (and they have great parents), while the other 3 homeschooled ones were respectful and kind.

My son was vaccinated at 6 mos. old with multiple doses, as we had moved and had gotten behind on the "schedule", and we were also trying to take time to do some research so that we could make an informed decision. When I took him to our new pediatrician's office, they informed the nurse that I had some concerns about getting all of them, and that I wanted to ask her some questions, but she came in and shot him up too quickly for me to even get my questions out- later, we've found out, that this is a very common tactic, and I was shocked to find out that others have had the same thing done to them. One week later, he was screaming his head off all of his waking hours, throwing up 4-5 times a day, and nothing would calm him down. He would finally get so exhausted towards evening, that he would finally fall asleep, only if I slept face to face with him. He was extremely sick for 5-6 days, and then took a few weeks to fully pull through it and seem normal again.

Just as he was getting better, I became so sick that I thought I was going to die, and started making plans for my husband to raise our son by himself. My head felt like it was going to explode, and I was delirious, and couldn't walk or sit up, throwing up 12-13 times a day. I was in and out of the ER 3 times, and they always misdiagnosed me as having the flu, sending me home each time. My husband took me to his chiropractor, who immed. diagnosed me with meningitis! I thank God that I am alive today. I now know that I got this from my 6 mo. old son. We had no idea how he got meningitis, until we re-visited the pediatrician, and asked which vaccinations he had received. She read quickly through the list of shots, and I cringed with anger when I heard her say, "meningococcal". When asked, she said that "yes, you can get it from the shot, but it is very rare". Needless to say, we were so incredibly angry, that we never went back, and do not vaccinate any more.

We made the decision to homeschool when our son was 4, because he many health issues as a baby and toddler (projectile vomiting/diarrhea, severe dehydration for which he was hospitalized several times, inability to sleep, etc.). When he was 9 (in 2003), he became chronically nauseated; 22 doctors over two years couldn't figure it out (even the docs at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota!). He was found to have H. pylori, a lack of acetylcholine, elevated mercury and lead, is IgA-deficient, and gluten sensitive, and has a blood serum reaction to 25 foods. Until he was 9, we had allowed the pediatricians throughout his life to vaccinate him; we are very lucky that his ensuing health problems only affected his gastrointestinal tract - he continues to have a low immunoglobulin panel, indicating a compromised immune system. The doctors stopped pestering us to continue to vaccinate him after receiving the results of the immunoglobulin panel - this might be a good "excuse" for your child! Living in this toxic world, I believe most of us have compromised immune systems, which can easily be shown with the results of an immunoglobulin panel test. We do not see conventional doctors any more, as they only know drugs and surgery, and NOTHING about nutrition and the immune system. I have lost ALL respect for the conventional medical community and their cozy relationship with the Big Pharms.

Unfortunately NC colleges have just disallowed any reason for not vaccinating and all going to NC state colleges have to be current - bummer -

Truth to be sure. I remember holding my daughter down to get her caught up with her shots... 6 fkn injections. Sickening.

Can anyone, like springoflife, send, or post a link to the Bill Gates Mosquito Vaccination atrocity?

I have decided to HS my children due to the fact that the indoctrination centers of america don't do a damn thing but delay advancement and deny a human their existence. IF both parents don't have to work, then why? You have children, they are your first priority, not another gameboy, watch, or other thing... don't think that working all day long and sending your children off to be cared for by someone you don't know or trust fully isn't neglect. It is to some extent. Children will remember, whether verbalized or not, what is apparently important to their parents. What is told to them, "I love you" should be backed by actions that prove that; another gift just won't do.

When did parenting become a blemish in a parent's life? I think most must understand that any/everything the gov does is dictated by those that control the gov (Rockefeller in large part). Can you imagine the most corrupt businesspeople actually caring for your children? I hope you can't, because it isn't a reality. Just read, as others have mentioned, Gatto, and then check his references. I always check references, but I have so much research involved with those aspects of our nation and life, that it isn't necessary anymore.

Bushy #1 was on the board of Lilly... that should say it all; not to mention Agenda 21 and other hidden agendas.

Read "Dumming Us Down". The whole concept of public schooling was developed to create soldiers of government, kids who think alike and are obedient to governmental and industrial interests. By sending kids to school it frees both parents up to further governmental and industrial interests, while patting mom and dad on the back for being good, obedient soldiers (positive reinforcement). Kids learn more by being around people of all ages and the basics can all be learned in just a few months, not 12 years. I think we should all refuse vaccines together - let them fine all of us at once and throw us all in jail at once. We need a revolution.

I agree with the majority of this article, however why is the Hep B vaccine an exception? I think that it is ridiculous to vaccinate small babies with this risky vaccine. The AIDS virus erupted when this vaccine was introduced. Also, the reason that higher income, college educated women vaccinate their children less often also has to do with the fact that single mothers on public assistance are threatened with having thier food stamps taken away if they do not comply with government guidelines. It has nothing to do with their intelligence. I learned of the dangers of vaccines before I received my degree.

Helen Keller became deaf and blind in early childhood as a result of the high fever she had with measles. Vaccines have prevented the awful deaths children and adults suffered as a result of smallpox and polio. People who survived smallpox were terribly disfigured, and people who survived polio were paralysed. Children died of pertussis -- we called it whooping cough, and it was deadly. Tuberculosis is deadly. Let's fight for safe vaccines, for eliminating dangerous additives from vaccines. But please, let us continue to reap the benefits from safe vaccine protocols. my brother and I were born in the 1940's, were vaccinated, were healthy. My children were born in the 1960's, were vaccinated, were healthy. Vaccines are not "evil," any more than organic tomatoes are "evil." A salmonella outbreak from the stems of organic tomatoes was not caused by the fact that the tomatoes were tomatoes, or that they were organic. It was caused by unsanitary conditions. Eliminate mercury from vaccines, but don't blame the vaccines for what mercury may have caused.

Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it. A commenter writes, is measles a deadly disease? Helen Keller became deaf and blind in early childhood as a result of measles. Smallpox is a killer. Pertussis is a killer. Polio is a killer. And of those who survive, smallpox deforms and polio cripples. Vaccines need to be made safe. Preservatives and additives need to be reevaluated and changed. But vaccines save lives, and prevent misery.

libertyinmo -- Indoctrination? Knowledge grows by the mix of ideas. Indoctrination is what parents do to kids by forcing them through religious intimidation of damnation. Public school is part of what has made this country so great and keeps our democracy alive.

If you want to revert to parachoial or provincial thinking just take a look at history, or theocrocies today. Yes, there are many educated parents today, but the masses are still the masses, and statisticaly more ignorant then the few.

As far as vaccinations, it seems to me that some of the articles are too one sided and not balanced. No one talks about the polio epidemics, and plagues that descimated, devestated populations of the past just in the past century -- here in America. Sometimes parent would lose one child after another. They would take a train ride to some other town to escape the epidemic, just to be contaminated in the train.

What we do know is that non of the studies are not conclusive, and we do know the results of the alternative.

We really need to think of options like a different schedule for vaccinations. While it may be educated parents that are making these decision, it does not mean they are educated, in statistics, history, philosophy, or any of the combination of knowledge that create real informed decisions that come from the experts. I find homeschooling to be a very dangerous trend that will destroy the fabric of our democracy to the indoctrination of parents. Indoctrination happens when there is no exposure, not the other way around. If schools are not doing a better job, it has to do more with the myopic vision of our leaders, and greed. As knowledge grows we need more exposure, not less.

If we keep exempting people from decisions in a democracy, then what we will eventually have is anarchy.

Iserbyte was the assistant secretary of education under Reagan so her viewpoint is exposing the criminals from the inside out. The interviews about vaccines are titled vaccines, vaccine whistleblower, and Mike Adams, the health ranger. There is a huge deliberate agenda to make our children stupid and complacent cogs in the system via the "education" system, and to make all of us weak and sick by forcing vaccines against us.

My question ... is there more up to date information and/or vaccination schedule to the one by Dr Donald Miller? I took this info with me to my child's 2 yr old well visit and the Dr said it was outdated. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
