Tulsi with Stevia is indeed excellent. Try the fruit flavoured organic Tulsi. Stevia, alone is well worth investigating and although somewhat expensive it grows beautifully in a container. It is called 'sugar leaf "plant and is at least 200 times sweeter than sugar.----furry,

Every time someone does an adulterated study on Stevia and/or its glycosides the Japanese do several studies do disprove it. In Japan Stevia has a substantial part of the sweetener market and they want to be very sure it is not harmful. They have had mice on diets of 100% Stevia leaf and have found no problems with conception, delivery or with the new borns. In fact in areas where Stevia is grown in large amounts for extraction, the spent Stevia leaf is pelletized and used as a livestock feed. As a feed source Stevia has higher nutrition that Alfalfa.

Stevia is not an annual it is a tender perennial and if treated with care some plants will grow for many years. However with that said most commercial growers treat Stevia as an annual, planting it in the spring and harvesting just before the blossoms open in the fall then replanting the following spring. This is done for two reasons: one is that the plants grow the fastest the first year, production of each plant could be off the second year by up to a third. The second reason is that from any given field a grower will get a forty percent loss of plants during the winter and it is easier to replant the whole field than to only replace the dead plants. Many people think Stevia is an annual because the best quality is grown in northern regions of the world where Stevia is not winter hardy. Stevia is day length sensitive. In the spring and summer while the days are long it grows like a weed. The longer the days the higher the percentage of sweet glycosides in the leaves. In the fall as the days get shorter it starts to bloom and the sweet glycosides decline rapidly. While it is blooming Stevia is very susceptible to root and stem rot and this is when most Stevia grown as house plants die. Stevia grown from seed is usually very poor quality, not very sweet and with a bitter aftertaste. Stevia grown from cuttings is best.

I'm a big fan of tea, and Yorkshire brand is my favorite for after dinner.

As for Stevia, I have tried several brands, and they were way too sweet for me. I don't take sugar in tea or coffee or hot chocolate, and though I have a fondness for bits of dark chocolate, I don't like sweet drinks very much. I tried Tulsi tea and didn't like it, so I'll stick to my one cup of coffee per day (in the early morning), my green tea (lots) and my black tea after dinner.

We come to this site to learn from each other how to eat healthier and not correct each others English proper writing. First I was wondering if I could even participate when people discuss "close down" vs. "close up" in this forum since EDnglish is my second language. so let's stick with the topic and encourage anyone with any background jump in this topic and learn to become a healthier person. The world is starving to see more healthier people. I am strong believer that a good diet will stabilize emotions and decrease angers and stress.

Do back to topic of I am big black tea drinker and reduced to one per day and now I am thinking if black tea should be replaced with Tulsi tea? any comment will be appreciated

I also same as some of you like to try different kind of teas, and recently purchased Spearment tea where this tea grows on mountain hills and supposed to be very healthy as well, so please share your opinion, if you have any knowledge about spearmint tea?

my 2 cents to Duprac, I am also anit-religion but I am not anti human and I respect others opinion and believe in diversity and believe in a society where every human kind and opinion should be mixed so we can learn to become strong and learn to adopt to any environment.
