(Really what I am talking about here is "sub-optimal" nutrition, since the values of the nutritional variables used in the calculations are just the best ones already employed among the countries.) If I optimize those other variables in the model for which this seems realistic the average changes to 324 years. However, it is important to emphasize that these figures are only realistic if we assume that the population becomes educated and disciplined enough to employ even "sub-optimal" nutrition, etc. Since this is probably too much to expect, it seems that realistic average life expectancies in the future without fulling employing the type of regeneration talked about by Prof. de Grey would be somewhere between current values and those that I have calculated, perhaps closer to the higher values since we are talking about average life expectancies. There would always be those who exceed the average and those who don't. However, since one of the countries in my database is employing "sub-optimal" nutrition on average already for one of the nutritional variables, it seems reasonable to expect that better education should allow the higher values of my estimates to be approached in the future.

I thank Dr. Mercola for providing this article because it made me realize that I could do this calculation and it has furthered my research significantly. It has also linked me up with the research of Prof. de Grey and his colleagues which should be addressed in any publication. I could be wrong again, but stay tuned!

I don't know for sure yet if one can combine "optimum" nutritional variables in this way, but I doubt if a realistic composite of these variables will be far from that calculated. My point here is that I don't believe Prof. de Grey's point that calorie restriction etc. will only add about two years of longevity. Clearly there is more to this than calorie restriction, but this is a very important factor. It is also a matter of balancing foods according to what appears to be metabolic type. So I think that Dr. Mercola's emphasis on metabolic type is generally correct, but I don't yet understand all the details. It will take highly accurate models of a number of diseases to better sort this out, someything closer than people might think.

I am afraid that I am not yet ethically able to describe how the work was done or to give away what the individual nutritional or other variables are, since the work has not yet been peer reviewed.

So in a sense this is just an encouragement to Dr. Mercola and his colleagues and others who believe that excellent nutrition is highly important and will likely reap dividends that are significantly higher than that suggested by Prof. de Grey. I believe Prof. de Grey's research on regeneration, however, to be very important.

If the regular food is not enough, then what does anyone suggest. Groceries when they are organic cost more. It is nothing for me and my girlfriend to have to spend at least 300 to 400 dollars per month on groceries and suppies just for the two of us about very month. If anyone has any suggestions and they are qualified and trained to speak on this matter, then email us at erniemusic2@yahoo.com. Thank you.

With that said, I know that I can help with the health aspect of many people by teaching what I have learned about our bodies and by the many people that have had a positive reaction to what we teach.

Acidosis is the basic foundation of all disease and our body starts to deter ate at age 45 due to over acidity. We need to understand the simple process of alkalizing our body and the important role a properly alkalized body plays in restoring and maintain overall health. Our glands and organs function properly in exact proportion to the amount of alkaline and acid levels in our system.

Except for oxygen, water is the most important substance in sustaining life. The human body is made up of more than 70% water. It stands to reason that the right kind of water is the best vehicle to cleanse the body from the acidic onslaught of the everyday American lifestyle. For over 30 years a unique kind of water has been a PROVEN solution for acidosis and its risks, throughout Japan. That Japanese company has introduced into the US a computer capable of converting ordinary home tap water into a high pH, electron rich, reduced molecule cluster, health promoting, water. The Japanese have one of the greatest life spans in the world.

(I'm 51 now.)

Until then, I don't believe anything.

Anti-aging only works if you can make someone over 50 LOOK in their 20's again.

(Without facelift, botox, fillers, etc.)

Dr. Michael West is talking about REVERSING aging in the next 5 years.

Again, SEEING is believing.

Plenty of people in their 50's FEEL younger, but until you LOOK younger... the aging process hasn't been truly reversed.

As Perricone says... aging is reflected in your face.

re: Incredible Innovations to Slow Down Aging

While I, as a Christian, look forward ultimately to heaven and don't emphasize living to an immense age here, the Bible

does predict a millennial kingdom on the earth during which human beings will live to much greater ages than now.

Isaiah 65:20-22 says, "No longer will babies die when only a few days old. No longer will adults die before they have

lived a full life. No longer will people be considered old at one hundred! Only sinners will die that young!.....For my

people will live as long as trees and will have time to enjoy their hard-won gains." (New Living Translation) This is in the context of the rule of the Messiah and the elimination of the curse on the earth ("The wolf and the lamb will feed together..." etc.)

So while anti-aging research is not the final answer, it may offer some promise of success.

The sin concept is a metaphor for explaining the bad decisions and choices we make. It has nothing to do with the original sin.

I tend to believe that every illnesses of human kind are caused by bad life choices.

We "sin" on a continuous basis because we live the wrong way. Human is stupid and live in a stupid way. I can't say when it all started, but it's not really new.

Wars, agressive blind industrialisation, pollution (chemical and electromagnetic), destruction of natural ressources, toxic products all around, stupid food habits based on taste only, social and work stress, information overload, etc...

It's like wanting to live party time all the time and not getting the next day headhache. It's impossible.

Remove all the toxic effect of the human modern activities and change the way of thinking toward something peacefull and I gess we would live much much longer...

Ambition and domination are making us sick. We should actually find a way to eliminate theses genes if they could be found. Those who cannot stay at their places and want more and more without looking at the consequences on the others and on the ressources must disappear from this planet.

We need to go back to basic and reform the whole way we live.

Repairing mitochondrial function via antioxidants, both fat and water soluble, improving the homeostasis of minerals, such as binding excess mineralization (a source of free radicals), supplying orthomolecular, structural nutrients, both micro and macro to facilitate maximal performance.

Without structural support, genes are limited.

"This researcher used molecular modeling to connect the diseases of aging with chronic inflammatory diseases and laid out a practical, WORKING protocol that is now helping well over a thousand people regain their lives and aspirations for healthy, productive lives."

I am sure it is not quite so simple - or by getting our EFA's, vitamins and minerals right we would become and stay healthy. There are many whose metabolisms were awry at birth due to (among other things)less than ideal diets in their ancestry.

Unfortunately society has by products in the forms of pollution and radiation, and these do affect all organisms INCLUDING humans.

Given the nastiness perpetuated upon our planet the only way to now remain healthy AND reverse the effects of aging would be to actually change ourselves genetically to accept pollution and radiation without damage....so, genetically modified humans.

We are part of a closed system, and of the food chain - even if it were possible to genetically alter ourselves without repercussions to humanity - what about the effect on life forms dependant upon us?

Given the abhorrence with which most of us greet the prospect of ingesting GM foods, how do we justify accepting modifications to ourselves?

Most of Dr. de Gray's seven points can easily be linked to acidic waste buildup in the cells and in the interstitial fluid (en.wikipedia.org/.../Interstitial_fluid) that the cell swim in. just as fish swim in an aquarium. This Interstitial fluid is the medium that transfers nutrients into the cells and also carries metabolic waste out of the cells and on to the lymphatic system to be removed from the body or stored in Fat Cells when a person is not properly hydrated. Most bottled water and other drinks are very acidic.

Just as with an aquarium, we feed the fish by placing food in the water. The fish consume the food as our cells do and then they expel their waste into the same water. If you forget to clean or change the water, the fish get sick and die just as the cells in your body mutate and/or die when we don't properly hydrate our bodies with quality alkaline water. One form of mutation is cancer. Most any other disease can also occur depending on your genetic predisposition.

I have found that by drinking Whole Life Water, my arthritis that I have suffered with for over 5 years went away over night. I continued drinking around .75 OZ per pound of body weight per day and the bumps that had formed on my knuckles disappeared within 30 days, never to return.

What this micro structured hexagonal alkaline water does is penetrate the cell wall much quicker because of its small molecular size and then because it is anti oxidant and alkaline it neutralizes the acidity of the metabolic waste. By drinking an adequate volume every day the waste is flushed from the body and better health results.

Bottom line, acidic toxic waste left in your body promotes disease. When you properly alkalize your body and flush out the disease causing toxins you have a better chance to live a longer healthier life.

The people of the Bible considered the 144,000 chosen as a number approaching the unfathomable. You can see how perception has shifted in 2000 years. To consider "relative" immortality we must begin to think outside the box, - like a goldfish outside the fish tank. When put in the pond it grows to the size of a carp. Wouldn't it be hellish to be stuck in this fish bowl for the next 10,000 years? I think that's why God mentions that "His" people will be as the stars of the universe. People in unlimited space, unencumbered by the clock or germs,- but facing some other challenges of course. Progress is hurtling exponentially, thus, it might happen within our lifetime.
