These things are all a part of *my* faith, but these are only a small reason why I have the specific faith that I do. I chose my faith because it is the only faith which has some proof. Show me proof that there is no Mr Hanky. Try to prove that I'm wrong. After all, we creative types know that, since a negative can't be disproven, it means that everything (and therefore, every god) imaginable in the universe exists!

Of course I'm referring to the eternally wise and compassionate 'Mr Hanky, the Christmas Poo' residing in South Park, Colorado, that is, when he's not 'revealing himself' to all the boys and girls of the world. I suspect one or two of you may be non-believers, but my sixth sense tells me he's there. Not only do I 'sense his presence on a daily basis', I also SEE him on a 'regular' basis. If that's not proof, WHAT IS?? My logic is at least as compelling as that of Strobel, whose self serving assumptions undermine everything that follows. As with anything that aspires to proof, your assertions are only as valid as the assumptions on which they rest (think Flat Earthers). Creativity is great for 'soothing the soul' (in fact, it's a huge part of our coping mechanisms), but not for proving its heavenly immortality.

Science says we can live forever according to Quantum Suicide And Immortality

Science says there are Parallel Universes where ANYTHING is possible.

Science says we can exist at many different locations and in different dimensions at the same time.

Science says everything is one at the Quantum level.

Science requres faith in things that can’t be physically proven or shown to anyone like singularities, white holes, worm holes, (holes in their theories) dark matter, dark energy, subatomic strings, branes, the bulk.

The Double Slit Experiment proves reality is a “cloud of probability” and sort of does a little of everything at once, as long as you’re not watching. ;-)

The Holographic Paradigm says everything we see is basically an optical illusion.

Quantum Physics teaches conciousness creates our reality.

The Bible said all these things long ago.

Cause and effect says a cause has to be greater than its effect. Universal causes cannot be lower than universal effects. Everyone knows that highly ordered and designed items like machines, houses, computers etc. owe their existence to a designer/creator. It's illogical to conclude otherwise. Yet evolution teaches we came from lower life forms like bacteria.

Cause and effect also says nothing physical can create itself on its own without outside help. If no physical thing can create itself, then it is an effect and therefore everything in the whole universe, including the universe and what ever science says caused the universe is an effect because it's physical. It is only logical to conclude that what ever caused/created the universe has to be outside the physical realm.

That's what someone meant by it taking more imagination to NOT believe in a God. Lets create another theory to make the last one believable.

And what is the theory of everything? GOD. It's the only truly logical conclusion.

Evidence is and has been "out there" and scientifically based. One such bit of "proof" is the DNA code. A scientist commented that if we found such a complex code emitting from outer space, that that would give us proof intelligent life created it. However, when faced with that proof in our own selves, nonbelievers flippantly justify their point of view by saying that it was all created by chance. "We are blind unless we choose to see."

But here ... What I see most about this article is that it is talking about creative genius, but is ... incredibly rigid. This is, in fact, what I might expect from someone who insists on mind mapping as one of the ingredients. And then one must believe in a higher power, and one must be a positive thinker. I think of creative geniuses - let's say, Van Gogh - filled with doubt as well as belief. I fail this article - as in any way close to getting at the heart of creative genius. Creative Genius - you'll never learn it from this piece. I'm not against all the ingredients it lists. But the essentials are missing from it. So, thanks for trying, but as a couple of other people have also noted, more is needed.

Catherine Austin Fitts recently expressed the thought that “If we’re going to build a healthy world, we’re going to need a media and education that allows people to see things whole.”

A writer gave an insightful description of John Gatto’s (3-time New York teacher of the year) research into the importation of the Prussian education system into this country:

"The whole system was built on the premise that isolation from first-hand information and fragmentation of the abstract information presented by teachers would result in obedient and subordinate graduates, properly respectful of arbitrary orders," he writes. He says the American educationists imported three major ideas from Prussia. The first was that the purpose of state schooling was not intellectual training but the conditioning of children "to obedience, subordination, and collective life." Thus, memorization outranked thinking. Second, whole ideas were broken into fragmented "subjects" and school days were divided into fixed periods "so that self-motivation to learn would be muted by ceaseless interruptions." Third, the state was posited as the true parent of children. All of this was done in the name of a scientific approach to education.”

And I suppose the fragmentation of whole ideas by the mainstream (corporate) media can be seen as a continuing ‘adult education’.

When one get a basic understanding of how life operates on this planet, it’s a very daunting task even to imagine a shift in consciousness that would allow for the development of individual human potential to sincerely enter the picture as a fundamental goal of life on this planet.

I find the idea of the life on earth becoming Nazi Germany on a global scale very unappealing.

"The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless yet be determined to make them otherwise."

As far as belief in higher power, pertaining to the comment about it taking more creativity to not believe in a high power. I completely disagree with that, Keith Lurie. Following society is the easy road. Copying what you see is something even monkeys can do. It takes creativity to coexist in society while at the same time following the high moral standards expected of us "believers". It doesn't come naturally. Quite the contrary. What does come naturally is to believe only what the five senses process. We cannot see, feel, hear, touch or taste the presence of God. So, believing what you cannot perceive and awakening that sixth sense called "faith"...that's using creativity.

re: Your Creative Genius Mindset: The Essential Qualities for Thinking Outside the Box

I find this list of characteristics of the genius for quite useless.

For instance, it's impossible to persistently think about the possibilities available at any one moment in time. It is comparable to saying a 100 meter runner is running a 100 meter at every moment in time. It's just not possible. That he does think of possibilities often, should go without saying. Anyone will understand that the more quality thinking you do the more results you will gain. That makes the statement superflous. It's the same with most of the others or they are directly wrong. Risk taker for instance. It should be obvious that there can be rewards without risk. Think of a mathematician that works out a fantastic new mathematical formula. Where is the risk? The risk can be insignificant in many genius discoveries, significant in others. It's just thoughtless and worthless stereotyping to say there is always risk.

What really makes a genius is the ability to criticize himself and others. Critisizing the establishment is perhaps the most difficult task for most. Most people has the die hard assumption that if enough people mean something, it has to be right. For instance if the most prominent scientist of an area says something, very few will believe an amateur that says the opposite, regardless of his proof. They won't even want to see his proof.

Most people talk about creativity without knowing what it is. Creativity is in it's basics(in science, not always in art) the ability to criticize your own and other's assumptions. The basics is then the ability to take any assumption and evaluate if it can be proven wrong(or right). Since there is an endless amount of such assumptions you have to narrow your search which is the real difficulty and maximize your brain's functioning(the higher IQ the more assumptions you can check because you think faster). I can't go into it further because of the limit of space here, which is sad because this is where the fun starts

i have serious issues with folks who think if they need something they must buy it!

if it is broken, then it does no harm, and a lot of good to pull whatever to bits and see how it works.

many times it is something simple that is out of place or broken, and it can be fixed in a short time.

what and how you fix it is part of the adventure.

my very favorite "shop" is my local tip! i gather fan belts off wshing machines bolts nuts handle whatever and keep em for when...some folks laugh at my scavenging. until!
