Going off the topic a little but would anyone be able to confirm that the brand Corelle which makes dinnerware that is 'unbreakable' contains the substance melamine? If it does, would it leach?

One of the major things that people haven't been looking at as far as diabetes and health issues in this country is the amount of high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated anything, msgs, aspertame, and nutrition-depleting microwaving usage there is. All of the above can cause a plethora of medical issues, including the aforementioned diabetes as well as numerous other debilitating diseases. Why aren't these things banned from our food sources and why is it that the very country that invented the microwave with a group of scientists who now ban it from usage in their country hasn't given us the clue as to the dangers thereof?

I'm not understanding what you mean. The elite became that way by profiting, through various mediums, off of other people--and most likely, those people were the non-elite. So why would they want their main revenue source depleted? If anything, wouldn't they want to keep the non-elite as sick and dependent on their "services" as long as possible?

I read all of the labels of everything I buy. One day after shopping at Whole Foods, I looked at the back of a package of Cascadian Farms broccoli purchased there. It very clearly said, "Grown in China" on the back of the frozen food package. Now, when I purchase packaged organic foods of any type, I look on the package to see where it came from. If it doesn't say USA, I don't buy it.

I have started my own campaign to buy USA only when it comes to organic foods of all types. Fortunately, I live in an area where there are numerous small farmers' markets that I patronize.

It seems to me the only way to solve this prolem, and many other problems, is for us to turn back to our communities and find ways to start producing everything we need sustainably on a local scale. The bigger things get the less control we have over what we're eating and how it's being produced.

Every time I read something like this I can't help but think it's time for us to figure out how to do everything ourselves. Otherwise we're obviously putting ourselves at a huge risk.

You are always coming up with things like this. I havent heard of this on the news. Those animals would die before their eggs became toxic !!! Why would the farmers risk harming their animals. ??? Putting melamine in milk ect is another story !!!

All of this talikng about contaminated food makes me want to move out on a farm and grow my own. At least I'll know where it came from. After all our own government don't care about anything else, but MONEY. I believe that we need new politicians that don't bow to commercial presure and put people's health above monetary rewards. Most of the ones in there are too corrupt to think of the common folk.

I clean swimming pools for a living in the summer. The new chlorine tablets (tri-chlor) have cyanuric acid built in, supposedly as an agent to keep the sun from taking out the chlorine. It is not unusual for cyanuric acid to get very high in pools needing more chlorine due to plant matter in pools or other reasons. Even the pools using salt generators dump bags of cyanuric acid in pools for the above purpose.

I'd like to suggest that the folks who use swimming pools.. (and esp.their kids diving and playing).. are ingesting large amounts of cyanuric acid from pool water. (In relation to non pool users.) This might need looking into.. esp. for the kid's sake.

Too bad the outcry over melamine and lead in toys from China doesn't extend to the pharmaceutical cos. who pump neuro-toxic heavy metals and carcinogens such as formaldehyde, aluminum, thimerosol (49.6% ethyl mercury), ethylene glycol (anti-freeze), squalene, carbolic acid, phenols, msg, neomycin, streptomycin, foreign viruses, dead animal pus, etc., into vaccines which are then shot into our newborn babies, children, and adults. 48 doses of 14 vaccines by age 6 is ridiculous, yet, where's the outrage?? BTW, vaccines are NOT mandatory for school admittance. Each state has allowable exemptions: philosophical, medical, and religious. If your state does not allow philosophical, then file a religious exemption. You do NOT have to prove or state your religious affiliation nor do you have to have clergy sign anything, as they would have you believe. I've found interesting all the comments, and appreciate the website references regarding this subject for further research. However, cannot believe the statement of belief that there is "no" HIV or AIDS. When is it that "facts" carry no weight???? People have died and ARE STILL dying from this condition! I have personally assisted out of pure compassion [successfully] people who are afflicted with this condition, and DID have to treat it like it was Hepatitis. I am curious as to how one can come off as if their statement is 'gospel' and it is NOT, and have no conscious about posting it with such profoundness and boldness!! Cheesh!!!! And, then the audacity to put down or discredit someone's statement of fact, of which also at least sounds more grounded and concrete than those who seems to have their heads in the sand suffocating with untruths, and sounding off just to hear themselves ..... it appears.
