Only about 21% of the total US population voted for Obama (305million people, Obama got 62million votes) so what you have currently is the minority ruling the majority.

Yes, only 21% of the total population voted for Obama, given your formula, but given that the rest were not old enough or otherwise not registered, you really cannot use this kind of math to prove a point like "the minority ruling the majority."

The FDA may appear to be ignorant most of the time, but they are not! They have a well established policy of supporting anything that causes wide spread harm and coming down like a ton of bricks on anything that supports naturally-acquired cellular and humoral immunity. They support to the hilt any agent that causes a free radical oxidative overload and obstruct anything that smells of anti-oxidants. Three of the most effective agents against acquired chronic degenerative diseases are:

1. Oral chelation which is an excellent means of removing metastasised calcium from soft tissue, eg. blood vessels and organs, and transferring it back to hard tissue like bone where it belongs.

2. Nattokinase and

3. Serratiopeptidase. Both are very effective enzymes capable of removing fibrin clots ...the cause of heart attacks.

You would think that the FDA would endorse these wonderful, safe and affordable remedies. Not on your nellie!! They continue to push, in concert with the drug companies, all those useless blocking, suppressing and interferring prescription drugs that can't possibly cure anything and are well known to cause wide-spread metabolic and systemic damage.

Personally, I would love to see the FDA disbanded.

I wonder how long a plastic container can leach BPA.

The quantity is limited, not a eternal source.

Can we, at least, assume that over time an old container will stop loosing BPA because it's all gone?

What is worse, the brand new one or the old one?

In a few years we'll find out all plastics are unsafe. Might as well forget about BPA and go plastic-free.

It reminds me of multivitamins. Each year we come out with something new like lycopene, leutein, etc..., and talk about the latest and greatest multivitamin. Funny thing is we already have the latest and greatest, if people would just eat the food it cam from in the first place.

It always totally amazes me that people can get righteously indignant at a single department of government, when a topic like this comes along, yet still be totally committed to putting government in charge of every aspect of their lives! People, People PEOPLE! This is government at its BEST! Corruption rules, because people are ultimately corrupt at their core. There is a whole other conversation on how to remedy this condition, but I would be lambasted for discussing it here. So, just think about this when our new president, and congress takes away our right to hear all 'truth' with the 'so called' Fairness Doctrine, or when our right to use a certain amount of energy is legislated away (unless we pay the extortion money they are planning to extract from us via 'green' credits!) What good is 'good health' is going to do any of us if we have to live in hell?

I was wondering if Dr. Mercola ever mentioned a water filtration system for the house that he would recommend. Brand? Where to buy....etc. For now.... instead of drinking delivered water, should I just use a Brita type for drinking water? Thanks.

If we had all voted for Ron Paul for President, it would help bring down all this political corruption. He is the ONLY one in Washington that is truly for the common people, and all citizens for that matter. Read his books and you will see what he stands for. That's why the press gave him no coverage. The only other way is to vote Libertarian. The FDA is a corrupt group led around by Big Pharma and that won't change until WE change it. At least we have alternative truthful info here, thanks to Dr. Mercola.

There has got to be something other than just glass when it comes to kids. "Small" babies can be monitored while giving them glass bottles (I would hope it would be closely monitored!). But what about when they get older? I guess you can get stainless metal sippy cups and sports bottles. What about sending food to school for your kids? I do not recommend (plus schools don't allow it!) sending things in glass. How do you safely transport their "organic" healthy food. I found a company that uses BPA free plastic containers and that is how I pack my kid's lunches (Laptop Lunches). My daughter, who is special ed (autistic) cannot handle breakable containers.

Does anyone have any suggestions for safe unbreakable containers for packing kids' lunches?

As well as the BPA, these plastics once forged, the plastic stays and stays. There is nothing which is naturally occuring on this earth that breaks down plastics, once disgarded. In fact there is a Texas size island of plastic waste, floating in the Pacific as I write this post. Imagine the toll this is taking on the wildlife.

This is one of those subjects I just can't study. BPA is so pervasive that to get rid of it in my home would require thousands of dollars I don't have. It's responsible for health problems for generations, so I can't avoid what's coming my way. My kids have been exposed all their lives and there's no escaping the damage already done.

I am all for making small changes, but sweeping changes like this would require are frustrating and beyond my ability at this time.

I've read that Saran wrap does not use BPA, but I'd still never microwave in it... mostly because we've removed our microwave!
