Dr. Luke's research with gerbils was scientifically excellent and can be read on the FAN site. She found that reduced melatonin and early puberty in female gerbils happened at doses from birth comparable to the increased intake human children get especially when they are formula fed as babies. The exposed female gerbils grew faster on the same quantity of feed, than the unfluoridated group. The early fluoridation trials also reported earlier onset of menarche by an average of six months in the exposed girls by the early fifties.

It is wrong for dentists to presume that causing girls to reach puberty earlier than nature intends by hiding industrial waste in their drinking water and food supply is an acceptable or justifiable trade-off as long as there are studies showing dental benefit. Come on.

There are few human health studies on the chronic consumption of fluorosilicic acid and its heavy metal components, which is the industrial waste chemical that is actually used for water fluoridation. The two risks already realized are a five-fold increase in teen boy osteosarcoma cases and a doubling of the risk of lead in the blood being high enough to cause harm to the brains of young children. With the National Research Council report of 2006 reaching the verdict that moderate dental fluorosis is an adverse effect of increased fluoride intake from water fluoridation, and the CDC-NHANES research showing that urban poor black kids have the worst cavities, worst dental fluorosis, highest blood lead, and lowest vitamin D levels, I'd say we have a public dental health policy with race and gender specific adverse health effects that needs a Congressional investigation in the US and a Senate investigation in Canada to hold these dental dictators accountable.

Here in New Zealand, of all places, with its "green" image, you'd think fluoridation would be a thing of the past, but it isn't. In our city of 120,000 people, the city council continues to ignore the wishes of citizens and fluoridate the water. They have recently incorporated several surrounding towns which don't fluoridate and boy, are they pissed! The CC is trying to pipe fluoridated water out to them.

We have a filter at our kitchen tap and it's made a huge difference.

re: Fluoride Exposure May Contribute to Early Puberty

Thanks to all of you who offered ideas for my fluoride-sensitive son. Regarding suggestions of RO water, it wastes far too much water. The Whole Life Water system looked very interesting, but I don't trust a company that won't list their prices on their website---also, it doesn't mention the removal of fluoride. Moving may be the second best option.

The BEST option is for EVERYONE to make as much noise as possible to every level of government so that not JUST those of us who read Dr. Mercola, and not JUST those who have discovered the pain and symptoms are coming from our tapwater---but everyone---will be free of this unapproved drug that is poisoning more than just humans. They will continue dumping the toxic soup they call "water fluoridation" for as long as we allow them to with our complacency.

I have talked to over 50 elected and appointed officials and I will keep talking and writing forever if I have to. On behalf of my son I have filed an official complaint with my state's Board of Pharmacy against my water district and the district they purchase from for distributing and selling an unapproved drug, which, by current state law, is actually a poison by definition.

Did you know that water fluoridation decreases IQ? ...that there is significantly higher levels of mental retardation with fluoridation? ...that there is more crime in fluoridated cities compared to those that don't? ...that there is more cancer in fluoridated areas, especially black men?

I'm thinking: Darker skinned people are more likely to be Vit D deficient...Vit D is critical for detoxification ... mercury poisoning (and autism) affects boys 4x more than girls...increased autism in blacks...more autism in the sun-deprived Northwest...AND THE FLUORIDE TOXIC SOUP IS CONTAMINATED WITH MERCURY. See where I'm going with this?

I believe fluoridation would harm black boy babies the most. It's time to start educating Obama---he just might be the one to outlaw fluoridation!

As to the matter of fluoridated toothpaste--trust me, they truly dominate the market. I've searched diligently in such chains as CVS, Giant, the ArmyAirForce Exchange Service (PX/BX). I could NOT find ONE non-fluoride toothpaste. Walmart, not my favorite store, but they did have one--Tom's of Maine--which comes in two types--one with , one without..

Colgates, Crest, etc. Forget it. All the major brands have one ir more varieties intended for young childen, with kiddy enticements like bubblegum flavors and cartoon characters. And guess what can and does happen sopme of it gets swallowed.

One of my health letter docs claims he uses just regular bar soap!..

I would suggest that you collect up all the facts you can, underline anything that mentions that fluorides destroy collagen (= accelerated aging of the skin, teeth joints and bones), then give it to your local TV station and newspaper to run with.

Mention as an addendum that your ADHD child has reactions to the fluoride in the mains water and you will be happy to be interviewed if neccessary, but you feel it is too good a story to be passed up by a good reporter.

In a youth orientated society, anything that accelerates cosmetic and physical aging will be greeted with horror and revulsion- so expect that this might be the only focus of any story. That doesn't matter so long as the message gets out there.

With regards to this article, Have they done research in an area where fluoride is added to the water supply? What dose of fluoride is given to these animals? Is it comparable to the fluoride levels that are added to water supply? Are the animals given the same dose a human might consume on a regular basis if in an area with water fluoridation?

Plastic bottles are manufactured from chemicles that can find there way into the water especially if there are left to sit for any length of time. The use of glass 5 gal. bottles (which are hard to find anymore) is more ideal when retrieving healthy unfluoridated water

The government mandates that toxic chemicals such as Lye be added to our drinking water supply to make the water about 7.0 PH. They don't do this for our health, they do it so the pipes won't clog up or corrode.

Reverse Osmosis removes flouride however Distilled and RO water should never be consumed because these processes removes all of the minerals from the water. When you remove the minerals, the water becomes acidic aggressively soaks up minerals from your body and can cause all sorts of problems.

The Ionization process is the very best way to make healthy drinking water. After filtering the water passes over positive and negative electrically charged plates which split the water by attracting the Ions with the opposite charge.

Since flouride, chlorine, lye, pharmaceuticals Etc. are always a positive charge, they are attracted to the Negatively charged plate and are separated along with the acidic part of the water. This leaves clean alkaline, antioxidant, hexagonal drinking water that will help keep your body alkaline and healthy.

Whole Life Water is the best Ionized water on the planet because of the quality of the Ionizing device that processes the water. In Japan this device is used in hospitals to treat the cause of many diseases and is one of the reasons that the Japanese people are the #1 healthiest, longest lived people on earth.

To remain disease free your body must be slightly alkaline and the blood must maintain approximately 7.35 PH +- or you will die. I am convinced that our epidemic of diabetes, cancer and many other diseases is due to the consumption of bottled water that is acidic along with our diet of over processed acid producing convenience food.

Our bodies are roughly 75 to 80% water and our brains are about 90% water. For your health and long life choosing the right water to drink is the most important health decision you will ever make.
