A good indication that you can go by is that if you crave carbs, sugars, etc. Fungus lives off of sugar. I believe it is really important to eat right for you NT, take a probiotic daily, stay away from antibiotics, grains etc.

I enjoy consuming nuts with my meals. To avoid the toxins on the nuts I soak them for 12 hours. Rinse them very well. Since I don't have a dehydrator, I spread the nuts on a plate and place them in the refrigerator and let the air in the refrig. circulate and dry them.

I ran across a wonderful website and would like to share it with everyone of you. He also can be found on TV, too. It is www.knowthecause.com.

The host is Doug Kaufmann. He has written many books on fungus. I have learn so much from Doug and you will too!

His saying is "If you do what you have done...you will always get what you have got" How true is that?

I am struggling with a bad case of yeast overgrowth. I have found some things that help the symtoms a little. My question is if anyone out there knows. Does pregnancy make this condition worse or better? And can you fight it while you are pregnant?

In the past, when I had a yeast infection, I used baking soda. It is inexpensive and works immediately. Fermented foods are not recommended until all is well.

I suffer with chronic fatigue for a couple of years now. Glad to see many people can find others who do also. I have read a lot of resources on fibromyalgia, yeast infections, chronic fatigue. I'm no expert, I'm not a doctor but I read many books written by some very amazing people who have helped others.

I share what I learned and and some of my own experiences and opinions about this condition, and what I did to help myself. I share this for free on my personal green site on www.squidoo.com/stemcellrenewal, I hope to helps others beat this syndrome. Look for my blog green4health, I talk about my fibro experience.

Good luck everyone in your healing!

I've read many of your posts before, with great interest. My whole, recent fascination with natural health / products, was because I was trying to cure my partners' Mothers' cancer, which sadly I didn't get a chance to, as we weren't quick enough... but that's a whole other story - best not to get started on my dislike for the UK NHS and the whole drug, blinkered opinion and tolerance from these... people!

In answer to your question, I'm a fella lol. I'd had terrible migraines for years and had to regularly take Sumatriptan tablets as they were the only things that would ease the pain. I hated doing this because from early teens, I formed a dislike for prescription drugs and refused to take any! I was bodybuilding and obsessed with healthy diets / lifestyle. The discipline I used to have for my diet helped tremendously with my whole new candida diet regime as I found it easy to start eating clean, whole food again, and more importantly no more migraines!

They were so bad I had a brain scan and numerous visits to a migraine clinic. I stopped when my doctor told me there is nothing I can do with my diet to get rid of them. I knew he was wrong and I proved it.

Heather, the details of a candida spit test are here: www.thefinchleyclinic.co.uk/.../Threelac_Candida_test.htm

I hope that this link does not contravene any web rules here? I'm a customer of the website where the link is from and as they offer free advice, I feel that thy wouldn't mind me posting this link? In any event, this same information is available from many different sources. However, in a nutshell:

1. Clear glass of water first thing in the morning before eating, drinking, kissing etc. Gather saliva and spit into the glass.

2. Observe every 15 mins for the next hour. If there are either any strings, floating globules, or sunken globules, or any combination of the 3, you have candida. I'm down to a couple of strings now.

HTH.

I decided to read what the author said for myself, and from my perusing of the book, I found that he did not say those things might contribute to the yeast, but that they might be the source of allergies or sensitivities, and you might as well not do them for the first few weeks, then test by adding them in gradually.

The problem is that almost everyone I know, myself included, who has read the "do not eat" list for a yeast diet freaks out because it is so ridiculously limiting. If these foods are not contributing to the yeast problem (I mean foods like cheese, raw ACV, raw organic homemade wines, fermented foods), it seems wiser to me to include only the REAL problem foods (grains, sweeteners, concentrated fruit sources) on the main list, with a note about the others, so that when the diet is publicized, the "do not eat" list is not unnecessarily intimidating.

Am I crazy about this? What do y'all think?
