Now the technology exists to use a quick camera phone picture of your keys to unlock your doors. Iit will only allow that key (or its factory copy) to operate the car. Other types have a driver held FOB which transmits a wireless signal to the car's security system as the driver approaches the car to unlock the door and allow the engine to be started with a push button. None of these systems will allow a theif to hot-wire the ignition.

If a thief wants to get in they will whether you bolt your doors, have an alarm system attached to a security protection alert company, a big dog, a protective neighbor, etc, or not.

If you ever experience that your house has been ransacked, don't enter the house, lay low view from a distance and call the cops.

The thief might still be in the house.

The best way to assure that your computer's data is secured is to have all your files backed up with two external hard drives and have them stored with family, friends, or networking to an external server.

Next thing when online, change your passwords regularly, and at random. Make them some nonsense collection of letters, numbers, and symbols, this way even hackers have a difficult task. As this information age advances, things as personal as our medical records are available in cyber-space, and we have be on the look out for newer more advanced ways of stealing our identity, and whatever.
