Five years ago, my youngest was diagnosed Type 1 at the age of 6 1/2. Prior to this she was a healthy active child; always outside playing, getting dirty and having typical childhood fun. Therefore, the vitamin D and sterile environment arguments don't hold true in her case. Her diagnosis occured within one year after two bouts of viral pneumonia in a six month period. The theory is the virus killed off the islet cells in the pancreas and then the body began to attack itself. She's been on an insulin pump for 4 years and that has made her life and mine, as her caretaker, much easier. There is no miracle cure for Type 1, though we do hold faith that with further research, one may be found. I certainly won't allow cannabis near my daughter. My sister has been smoking it for years and she is always "zoned out". I prefer to keep my daughters brain healthy.

Federal Law requires that the DEA review the schedules each year, but the States are given the right to define accepted medical use in the united states. Even though the Department of health has a patent on cannabis and UMED another on the other class, and with the mountains of proof. The DEA still refuses to remove marijuana from schedule 1 and raid sick people. forcing deadly drugs rather than natural health.

I think it still would be better to use a specific drug for type 1 diabetes rather than cancer drugs. Who agrees with using a cancer drug for diabetes?

I subscribe to the belief that lack of exposure can have harmful effects healthwise later in life. I recall when my daughters were children and a neighbour's daughter had German measles, my late wife invited this woman's daughter to play with our girls for this very reason.

Animals are the typical example of exposure to potentially harmful substances yet, when in the wild, they are normally amazingly healthy. Fruits and vegetables develop bacteria on their skins or outer surfaces to help prevent disease so why do we wash in hot water and use soaps? Why not, instead, learn from nature rather than trying to teach it that it is mistaken?

Chili peppers are getting a good press lately so I have been taking some raw, followed by a piece of cheese to cool the burning mouth. Afterwards there is a nice warm sensation in both the stomach and, should it be said, on the soles of the feet too; like good sex, it makes them curl!

Dr. William Wong reports that two of his Type I diabetic patients were much improved...and one of them cured... by using high doses of high qulaity proteolytic enzymes on an empty stomach.

Wong is not sure how it works. He theorizes that there is scar tissue and fibrin in the ducts, and that the enzymes help to dissolve the scar tissue and the fibrin.
