The list you gave corresponds to Romans 12:6, but there is another one giving nine gifts of the Spirit; 1 Corinthians 12:4 and following. These are wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongue, and interpretation of tongues. Also, there is a sevenfold fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentelness, goodness, faith.

Re. the Apostles Creed, there are THREE articles to it, corresponding to the Trinity, so where do you get the "twelve"? I am curious.

I couldn't open Mercola's pages till now, post Christmas, so my comments are post-current, but heart felt nevertheless. In this post as with others Dr. Mercola shows generocity of spirit that keeps on giving;,- in the form of invaluable information and a forum for opinions and additional information. This is Christmas, i.e. the urge and impetus in action to share, give, help and succor. Joe Mercola - a shining light , and beacon (of many) above the manger.

Thank you again Dr. Mercola for an inspiring Christmas message. It's a Wonderful Life is one of my all time favorites.

I would like to believe the 12 days of Christmas story if it were true, unfortunately the English have a long history of religious tolerance. At least in the time frame of the so called insurection of 1500- 1800 the only ones claiming to be pusecuted were the Puritans who demanded their way was the only way, sound familiar?

Wow, I watched ' It's a Wonderful Life ' for the first time over the past 2 days! I loved it and of course it brought tears to my eyes, as I'm sure we can all relate to some part of George's life. Prior to this posting I'd only heard negative comments about the movie---there's nothing like finding out for yourself! Thank you Dr. M. and best of the season to you! :)

Dr Mercola you are unique. For us, here in the United Kingdom, the relevance of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" is so important. During the Reformation, the majority of great shrines were destroyed, as were relics and so many beautiful religions artefacts. I send on many of your comments and pages to family and friends around the world because you do not speak with 'forked' tongue as so many do. May the blessing of Christmas be with you and your family at this special time and throughout the New Year. Thank you.

The politically incorrect reading of The Night Before Christmas was tedious and hostile. Lucky me, I know how to exit from something unappealing. But I did wonder why it was being offered to us. Hey, some of us might even think there is something to the ideas that are being lumped, disparagingly, as 'politically incorrect." I am perfectly comfortable with Christians wishing each other Merry Christmas. I am not comfortable with public schools or government offices promoting any sort of religious celebration. This country was founded with the idea of separation of church and state. Separation. Celebrate the holidays you celebrate in the private sphere wholeheartedly. Wish me happy whatever. But I do not want the government to impose it on me, and I appreciate the neutrality of other public spheres, such as banks and shopping malls. Happy holidays and season's greetings are fine. Enjoy, don't impose.

I don't wish people Happy Holidays because it's "PC". I do it because I am considerate. A lot of people - including me - don't celebrate Christmas. Instead, we celebrate one of the other several holidays that are celebrated this time of year. So if I know what religion someone is, I wish them a merry or happy or blessed whatever their holiday is, including Christmas. If I don't, I wish them a generic Happy Holidays. If you'd ever been in a minoity that is expected to silently grind their teeth and smile every time someone insists they take part in a ritual that is not part of their religion - or worse, to actually enjoy being forced and to contribute taxes toward it - you would probably be more considerate about it too.

So Merry Christmas to Dr. Mercola an the other Christians here. And in return, I hope you will wish me a Blessed Winter Solstice.

Not "happy holidays" or "season's greetings", but Merry Christmas as Christians around the world celebrate the birth of Christ, Emmanuel (God is with us) who came as a babe...but you all know the story.

I would like to thank you, Joseph Mercola, for sharing such a beautiful, inspiring and heartwarming, movie with us..... It's something we human's tend to forget: how rich we are if our heart's are full of love and and how lucky we are to have a life to do with the best we can. The message of this film transcends religious barriers and reminds us all, yes, of the power that each of us have to make this a better world.

Thank you themikeb for the Bethlehem Star link. I went to a planetarium that explained the star astronomically and historically and astrologically. How the non-Greek ancients viewed the sky as a physical map of the Middle East and the place where the star shone was also in the place in a physical map where Bethlehem would be. There were also symbolic reasons to believe one should search in Bethlehem. Layers and layers of information. They saved the planetarium finale until the end, to see the conjunction of three planets lined up like a vertical pointer, brightly blazing on the horizon, IN the constellation of Pisces, IN the section of the map that represented Judaea, wow. Interesting how other peoples spent lifetimes reading the sky, mobilized themselves into a journey, and we don't generally see symbolism.
