Here in the UK, when I was growing up in the 1940s/50s, if a child developed Chicken Pox, a lot of parents would get together with all their children so that they could catch the illness and get it over with. This, remember, was at a time when World War II had just finished so we were not at our healthiest. I am confused at the report of deaths by Chicken Pox as I have never heard of any in my life. I also doubt that Measles is as easy to catch as it's supposed to be as my brother had it but neither my sister nor I caught it. The people to blame for helping an illness to spread in a community are the doctors who refuse to administer single vaccines. As with all others in positions of authority, they forget just who they are working for - the wellness of their patients and the community or the pharmaceutical companies

Does anyone take their children for 'any' vaccination(s)? We have a two yr old and one due in Feb 09' and I wonder if anyone knows of vaccination(s) we should get? I wonder if any are safe and/or necessary.

We stopped vaccinating our 2 yr old after his 12mo visit (After much research and the unshakable feeling that something was just wrong about all those injections). Now our son is almost 2 and we have another due very soon and I'm just curious if anyone here has information about vaccines we should administer, if any at all?

My younger brother (49 years ago) came down with whooping cough after his third DPT shot, and was seriously ill. My granddaughter, who was born in 1991, has Asperger's Syndrome. I don't know her vaccination history--she probably had all the scheduled vaccines. I do know that she was on antibiotics a lot as a baby, and I've read that it is dangerous to be vaccinated while on antibiotics. I do believe that there is a genetic factor that predisposes a child to autism. However, I have NO DOUBT in my mind that vaccines are the trigger that is the immediate cause of autism. The CDC says that there is no link between vaccines and autism, but the circumstantial evidence is overwhelming. There are thousands of parents who believe that their child's autism was caused by vaccines. Usually it happens after the MMR vaccine. Also, It has been discovered that children who are autistic don't seem to be able to eliminate mercury from their system. When they are treated for mercury toxicity, they often recover from the symptoms of autism.

I've heard that the U.S. has one of the highest rates of infant death among developed countries; yet Sweden stopped giving the pertussis vaccine I think in 1979, and that country has one of the lowest rates of infant death. They stopped giving it because out of over 5,000 cases of whooping cough, or pertussis, 84 percent of the children had been vaccinated.

Contrary to what we've been told, smallpox was not wiped out by the smallpox vaccine. It was improved sanitation and nutrition that caused the decline of smallpox. There were several smallpox epidemics in England and also in the Phillippines that occurred after almost everyone had been vaccinated.

Curious7: Vaccinations have nothing to do with previous states of health or current states of health. The mere fact that people who aren't vaccinated die vs people who are vaccinated die isn't an argument. The world has cleaned up its act and that's been the biggest factor involved in the decline of disease. No piles of open sewage laying around in towns and cities is reason enough for the numbers of illnesses to have dropped to nearly nil.

If children don't ever get chicken pox, for example, how do they fight off chicken pox at a later age? Chicken pox is not usually deadly, although, as with ANY disease, it CAN be. People's health depends on their current health, not a jab in the arm with poisons and toxins. People are feared into vaccinations by their "caring primary physicians". No one in this world is as gullible as a new mom. Older people aren't much better. They believe whatever they seen on TV or read in a magazine. Gullibility kills.

Some people here on this forum argue that there is a correlation between vaccinations and SIDS. I live in the Netherlands. We have a very high vaccination rate, we also have the lowest rate of SIDS in the world.

A number of people here say that they have not have their children vaccinated and that they are perfectly healthy. I'm happy to hear that. But the reason they are, might very well be the fact that all the other children have been vaccinated, which also protect the unvaccinated children because the viruses are not around. But as soon as we stop vaccinating our children, these diseases will come back. Trust me, you wouldn't want that. Having a child being unwell for a week - like my daughter was - after being vaccinated, is really quite another matter than having your child die of one of these diseases.

The youngest sister of our present queen is practically blind, because the her mother - queen Juliana - was infected with Rubella during her pregnancy.

Also I think some people are confusing allergy and vaccines being not safe intrinsically. Some people are allergic to peanuts to such an extent that eating peanuts may be lethal to them. But no one in their right mind would say that peanuts are 'unsafe', period.

The CDC Medical doctors ect are all INDOCTRINATED not educated. Its up to us to educate ourselves and there is tons of data out there to support the findings of Autism, ADHA, Diabities, SIDS, Rhumitoid arthrites ect linked back to these "harmless" childhood shots. I've just figured out who Asolepius and PanterA are. Ignore both of them. They are pot-stirrers at a coupel of other forums too, and lots of people think they are Big Pharma shills.

Personally, I think they work for other newsletters so they can keep current on what is being discussed on theses forums.

Ignore, ignore, ignore. You'll be better off for it, just like you'll be better off avoiding vaccinations of any kind.

We as adults, have parents and grandparents who were around before these vaccines, and I have a question. When children in their time fell victim to chicken pox, measles, and the mumps, what did these people do for thier children? Obviously they survived, because our generation would not now exist.

My nephew in Germany had a severe reaction to a MMR vaccination. He became so sensitive to daylight that he had to stay in his darkened bedroom for up to 2 months with great pain. This reoccurred yearly. I need to give a little bit of background here: Although I hold a Ph.D. in physics I am very open for other not-so-scientific areas of interest, including dowsing. My dad died of stomach cancer and a few years later my mom had a dowser check out her bedroom and the dowser found a crossing of 'noxious' zones where the bed of my father had been. That caught my attention! When my son was little and we were staying at my mom's house, when I woke up in the morning, he was sleeping half on my bed with his body turned by 90 degrees. This happened almost every day during our stay there and reoccurred year after year during our summer vacations in Germany. My son must have moved his body to avoid something 'unseen', possibly noxious zones in my parent's house. My nephew's bedroom was adjacent to the guest bedroom, our beds facing the same wall, where his bed was located. After his MMR trouble reoccurred year after year, I became suspicious whether that had to do with these noxious zones, as the dowsers call it. I made some L-rods and checked his bedroom out; I got a bad feeling about his bed place and asked my brother to have an experienced dowser come to check it. He did and that dowser said 'Your son won't get well in this bed place!' The dowser installed a shielding blanket and the MMR adverse symptoms vanished. My nephew moved out of this room a couple of years ago and said he now sleeps so much better in his new bedroom.

My nephew's immune system was compromised when he got vaccinated due to noxious zones. Only after this cause was removed he finally got better. The not-so-scientific literature in Germany about dowsing is full of such examples, including so-called 'cancer houses' where generation after generation family members died of cancer in the same bedplace.

Actually it is a common misconception that vaccines were the cause of stopping polio deaths. According to "Vaccines, Are They really Safe & Efective?" Polio death rate declined by 47% in the usA and 55% in England. Also the connection between SIDS & vaccines has been kept quiet for entirely too long. Don't take my word for it check the research.

As a parent I dont trust pharmaceutical companies to actually look at the best interest of my children. Thats my job & to be honest I didn't make this decision just as a parent but as a business owner as well. The bottom line for any 'for-profit company' is PROFITS. If pharmaceutical companies were genuine then they would be non-profit or not-for-profit organizations amongst other things. Probably the main reason that they are now coming out with adult vaccines. Now don't take me wrong western medicine has its benefits. But the philosophy is scewed, you just don't turn off a light indicator when something goes wrong with your car. Why do it to your body?

Also I would expect parents with autistic children to be very knowledgeable in the area of possible causes of autism. You cannot compare the objectivity of a corporation and a parent. The company is driven by money; the parent is driven by love. It behooves a parent to find the true cause because only then can you find a remedy. Now granted they may be very emotional but these parents aren't making these determinations, researchers are.

Lastly, as I said we are amazing creatures. we can manifest our own lives and destinies; including our health. Science has shown that there is a link between true joyful happiness and health as well as stress, worry & depression as contributors to health. And lets not forget nutrition.

I've known about some of this many years; I did not have my kid vaccinated when young; I stuffed him w/low doses of my vitamins, provided the healthiest food i cd then afford, was guided by Adelle Davis' books. I think 3 times, he was freftul in the eve, had a few spots, and/or a flush;I gave him very high doses of C (liquid, and/or powder i water);next day he was fine as usual. I'm convinced he was starting chicken pox, measles, perhaps German measles. He was w/other kids during the days, but the evenings he was a bit off, was not w/other kids so did not feel I was putting them at ristk because they did not practice natural health care. A writer named Shelton (now produces natural foods I think) had a book about vaccines CAUSING illness by stirring up all the pathogenic bugs we have in our bodies anyway. stats can be read more than one way.My son never had colds, is now a very healthy, happily married 37 year old.Our taxes wd be better spent on educating parents (& others of course) on natural health care, healthy life style. It's not only meds producers shd be worried about, but entire chemical industries killing us and our planet. everyone read, read, read, question e/one & e/thing, research for yourself, your time cannot be better spent. Also, if you read the posts such as mine carefully, you will see that: a.) we are discussing general vaccines, not strictly the MMR vaccine; you artifically interpolated that into the argument concerning my post, b.) Asolepius does not apparently seem like an advocate for personal responsibility and objective deduction, which you tout and with which we do not disagree; he just sounds like a Big Pharma ringer[trans.: apologist]. His responses are catchy, but not cogent. Perhaps you are a ringer, too. There, you've driven me to use ad hominem against you--shame on you.
