Guess what? Animals have different bodies and biochemistries than humans! Xylitol causes no change in blood sugar for humans, yet KILLS dogs because of what it does to dogs' blood sugar. Chocolate is toxic for dogs even in small doses, yet is an antioxidant for humans. The list goes on and on and varies from animal to animal, so quoting what something does to a rat doesn't necessarily say anything about what it does to a human.

Garlic is a great antiparasitical food, though my Chinese medicine teacher mentiosns we shouldn't eat any food on a daily basis, as this diminishes its potency.

Another thing about garlic: it thins the blood, and as such it may not be beneficial on a daily basis for people with blood diseases. It is dangerous to give it to pets as it destroys their red blood cells! This was a new one for me as I thought Garlic was the best curative food and not toxic.

Having said all that, I regularly eat garlic and feel the better for it, even though I have a minor blood disease. It just has too many benefits. Its' all about moderation and adapting intake of foods to your own personal needs, as none of us are biochemical clones. I find the body tells us what it wants when we have gotten rid of the junk and if it's in reasonable health.

I've used Black walnut tincture 5 times a day applied topically on my 2 infected cats, and the ringworm lesions and appearance was gone in 1 week. The trick is to apply this so many times. I did combine this with applying an anti fungal cream 2 x a day, but made sure they couldn't lick that off. My vet was so astonished with the results that he wrote it down, as they often get infected themselves, from dealing with the pets. I also find it important to give the animals a fresh food diet, regardless of wht vets say. Canned and dry food isn't good for people and we don't need dry food to get all our nutrients, you do need to research it a bit, but it seriously helps to restore and build their imune system. My cats had it as I rescued them and they came in the house with it. They soon had very shiny coats due to the fresh foods, and excessively lively!

Kind regards

Marisa

Therefore, we can assume they're less prone to dementia, have balanced blood sugars, more calm than others, and have greater immunity to sickness. By the same token, we can assume that desire for certain spices by a person is an attempt to regulate a certain ailment or function.

According to traditional Chinese Medicine, a person interested in sweets is attempting to regulate physiological and/or emotional functions of the heart. A person interested in spicy hot foods is attempting to regulate functions of the liver, and so on.
