Organic means carbon-based, and minerals are rocks. All plant life is 'organic'- they may absorb minerals from the soil, but these come originally from rocks.

First, I really dislike when benefits of any specific natural health thing are isolated. For example, here the benefits of sulforaphane are stressed but possibly years will pass before we see that sulforaphane needs few other things in brocolli in order to be useful. Something like the vitamin C and bioflavonoides. For me,isolating one active component and giving the credit to it only is wrong in most if not all cases.

Second, as I do follow Weston Price site too, I read that eating too much cruciferous vegetables can also pose some health hazards mainly due to the so called goitrogens. For those interested in it, the link is www.westonaprice.org/.../crucifers.html.

However, Dr. M correctly states the amount nneded to provide the benefit. One should care not to disturb the balance and embark in big everyday portions of brocolli and other crucifers. As in many cases, the balance is the key; decisevly avoid the bad and don't overdo but balance the good...

Two caps of colloidal minerals first up before b/fast then with b/fast 4x 75 mg co-enz Q10, 2x multi calcium, zinc, magnesium, vitamin A & E and 12 x 500mg spirulina. During the day 5-6 shots of oxy rich or Cell food oxy then during the day or early evening 2x 50-60 drop doses of Zeolite, not sure which Zeolite you have there but my scientist friend found the MLM US Zeolite worked out too expensive comparing the Zeolite content so I used the Australian Zeo8 and with reasonable good vegie and fruit etc I made rapid progress. Looking back and watching others Fungus control is no.1 then oxy and Zeolite with Q10 seemed to make the big difference, if you check with google roger squamous cell zeolite aust you should find my tumour pics etc

the reason from a Chinese medicine perspective not to eat too many bananas is that they are Damp forming, which is considered a pathogenic factor. It's a bit like if you have a moist wall, then you are inviting mould. Damp sinks the energy of our foods, which ought to go up and stagnates, which again causes the energuy and food substances not to be transported properly.

From a boichemical perspective it makes sense too: they are full of sugar and raise the blood sugar levels quickly, which can cause obesity etc. I would suggest if you are to eat bananas, chew them really well, as they need the enzymes form your mouth to be digested properly.

However, the most common predisposing factor remains the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics, which decrease the number of normal flora and permit an increasing number of candidal organisms to proliferate.

The potential use of cabbage isothiocyanates to control Alternaria rot in bell pepper was tested. Solid phase microextraction and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry found allyl, benzyl, 2-phenylethyl and phenyl isothiocyanates in a ratio of 1:3.5:5.3:9.6, respectively, in cabbage leaves. The same proportion was used to prepare an isothiocyanate mixture from reagent grade isothiocyanates (MCIT) to test the effect on Alternaria alternata growth in vitro. Application of 0.28 and 0.56 mg/ml of MITC, with or without packing in low density polyethylene bags (LDPE), were also tested on bell pepper fruit inoculated with A. alternata, using a commercial fungicide as positive control. A concentration of 0.03 mg/ml of MITC inhibited 100% Alternaria growth in vitro. A treatment with 0.56 mg/ml of MCIT with LDPE bags performed better than the commercial fungicide to control fungi rot on bell pepper with no adverse effects on fruit quality. MCIT combined with LDPE bag showed potential to control Alternaria rot on bell pepper.

I refused surgery etc and got my acidic levels under control with bi-carb then used colloidal mins, co-enzyme Q10, oxy rich, ZeoActive8 an Australian Zeolite in large doses plus a few assorted vitamins for good measure.

I knocked my cancer out in around 14 weeks and have little or no sign of where it was and after talking to many others who were in the same situation and used the same methods I can't stress how deadly Fungus is, especially toenail and skin Fungus. My current situation is so good I've never felt better and now I do my best to allert others around me to keep an eye out for signs of Fungus overload which I believe gave me the acidic environment which allowed my cancer to activate, this theory made more sense to me than the rubbish the Doctors tried on me. My tumour pics are available to view if anyone wants.

There is the consumption of alcohol, caffine, and tobacco, that also contribute to the lack of wellness we as humans suffer. Oh and let us not forget the toxins in this so called advanced world.

That is why we are supposed to be eating 7 to 13 servings of fruits and vegetables per day, more is better since the quality of the produce is compromised because of things like soil depletion and then the produce is picked before it is ripe so it can be shipped hundreds of miles....by the time we get it, much of the nutrition is gone. Then we go and cook what nutrients are left right out of the food. Throw away your microwaves, microwaving destroys over 90% of whatever nutrition is left! Raw is best but if you must cook, just lightly steam.

I have taken a concentrated whole food product for the past 14 years in order to help fill in the gaps. I really think it is difficult to get all we need from our foods unless we are willing to make eating a full time job!

Get appropriate amounts of animal-based omega-3 fats such as krill oil or fish oil, and reduce your intake of omega-6 oils.

I think more research is needed here. The assumption is that everyone needs more omega-3 fats, and as a result some people may be overdoing it. We should remember that both omega-3 and omega-6 are EFA's, meaning, our body needs them, and can't create them. Then the next point is that we need these fats in the right amount and proportion. Personally I found much benefit from taking fishoil for several months. Then the benefit stopped. Now I am taking a mixture with a ratio of 1 (omega-3) to 4 (omega-6) and the benefits have returned. As this change occurred around the same time that my nutrititional type changed (from protein type to balanced type), I strongly suspect the correct ratio may vary based on our nutritional type. Has anyone else experienced this?
