The Hill criteria look at: 1. Strength of association 2. Consistency (repeated observation)

re: The Overwhelming Evidence That Sunlight Fights Cancer

to curious7 this website might help you

you may have eaten healthily etc all your life, is there any chance you could have been stressed/ Stress produces certain chemicals and adversely affects teh bow3el and so the joints. To get rid of the problem, from a naturopathic perspective, addressthe cause. So Look if applicable for relaxing tools, nature is great, walking etc... get in touch with your body, we spend so much time in the head. Thoughts are biochemical actions. Don't just EFT, address the issues, if any.

Alos for the "physical" side: ther are many things to heal the bowel; probiotics, Vit D glutamine, enzymes... and then some potent natural anti-inflammatories: bromelain, pancreatin, apparently a combination called vitazyme... the enzymes should be taken away from food to have an anti-inflammatory function. Include curry in your diet and make a cayenne + turmeric + frankincence( essential oil in a carrier oil)

Best of luck.

and many of us swear by it.I also gave my sister some for 2 very old dogs she has that could hardly walk and within 2 weeks she said they were almost like puppies again. It is also very inexpensive and cost me less than $25.00 a year.Hope this info helps you find some relief.

I went from it being in over 42 joints down to knees , wrists, one finger, but at times these are so bad I can hardly walk and was bed ridden for a month and a half. It's still in some muscles as well. Although it has improved dramatically, and I also forgot to mention I have not taken the prescritions for the last five years as they did not help at all. I have not been a day without pain for 5 years, it however is getting harder to bare. I can not talk or think sometimes it is so bad. I gave it 5 years and now feel as if I need to do something more as I can not envison continuing this way.

I am wanting to get back my wrists and knees, I was wondering if the low dose antibiotics would help? I was also wondering if you had looked into the Marshall Protocal and its view of vitamin D? Although I am grateful to be down to fewer joints , I am at times still disabled. I have also done some EFT and have gotten the CD's and will continue that. My whole life I have been incredibly healthy, do not get colds , flu , etc.

The Russian researcher I.G.Grakov has mathematically modelled the relationship between cognition, the autonomic nervous system and the physiological systems. This is reported in J. Biogenic Amines 22(3) pp 140-163 (2008). ‘Cognition, the Autonomic Nervous System and the Physiological Systems’. Ewing G.W, Ewing E.N. Publication December 2008. I believe that this article has now been published.

Sunlight provides a full spectrum of light and colour which stimulates the magnocellular and parvocellular neurovisual pathways thereby regulating our receipt of colours and visual contrast. This process is affected by disease and by drugs. Vitamin D is just one medical component of one physiological system, an important one, but only one. A deficiency can and probably does lead to dysfunctional biochemistry and hence to cancers but so too can many other factors.

There was a study several years ago which concluded that the incidence of cancers in the US was greatest in the cloudy, cold NE states by comparison with the warmer SW states (excluding skin cancer of course).

I don't know but as a scientist I see it all the time. In this case it was assumed for nearly a century, on the basis of not having looked that vitamin D was good for nothing else. Its a wonder scientists haven't become extinct from crossing roads, assuming the one car to go by is the only one, then to step out and to be run over by a truck.

Is this not happening again? now we've found the association between the levels of D and cancer and are now assuming this is all there is. The anecdotal clues about the eyes should tell us there is more. Can anyone point to data showing that the only necessary thing the sun does when it shines on the body is produce vitamin D at a level necessary to inhibit cancer? If not why are we assuming that? Are there other diseases that are inhibited by adequate levels of other things induced by sun exposure yet to be discovered? Until I see a more competent attitude to scientific study I'm going to continue to get lots of sun, without burning of course. After a number of years of following basic health science research and discovery I believe the score in "First to Discover" now stands at Old Wives 47 : Science 19. Dr. Mercola and others on the internet deserve the credit for the breakout.

To quote from my own natural anti-cancer protocol (www.tbyil.com/anticancer.htm):

"From the very first days that man walked upon the earth, sunshine has been a key to health and survival. The importance of the synergistic relationship between health and regular sunshine cannot be over-emphasized for both physical healing and mental health (which is itself a key to physical healing for cancer and any other illness). Contrary to popular beliefs about the harmful effects of over exposure to the sun, abundant sunlight has extremely high success rates for:

Safely stopping tumor growth

Preventing cancer by stimulating the body's vitamin D production.

Preventing influenza

. . . sunshine is essential to the production of vitamin D, and, strange as it may sound, has been found to be essential in warding off melanoma as well as other cancers. Be sure to get full body sun exposure avoiding the heat of the day and not allowing oneself to become more than mildly "pink" or sunburned by gradually increasing exposure time from a few minutes to perhaps a full hour and more each day.

Fair skin and the number of moles are the major risk factor for melanoma (skin cancer), not sunlight overexposure.

In 1959. Jane C Wright, directing cancer research at Bellevue Memorial Medical Center in New York City, instructed fifteen cancer patients to stay outdoors as much as possible that summer in natural sunlight without wearing their glasses, and particularly without sunglasses. By that Autumn, the tumors in 14 of 15 had not grown, and some patients had gotten better. It was discovered that the one patient that didn’t have good results . . . had continued to wear her prescription glasses."
