Unbelievable. I've watched this several times and I'm still amazed by it. My husband showed this to everyone at work and they were amazed. You wouldn't catch me dead doing this. I like my feet on the ground. Still it's quite amazing to watch.

At first i wondered if this is really true; because I never saw the end. Then I searched and found this: videos.howstuffworks.com/.../34631-stunt-junkies-wing-suit-base-jump-video.htm

They have a parachute that opens up in middle. (Maybe this is simple to most).

I've watched dozens of "wingsuit" vids on YouTube, including this one, and they are certainly amazing. lol - No one sees them landing because that's the boring part! The thrill must be unimaginable though I fear some of these guys are going to suffer from adrenal fatigue at some point, but that's another matter.

One comment that amuses me is "Termial cliff; terminal meaning you reach 'terminal velocity'. Hmmm - how about, "Terminal meaning you are TERMINATED by the slightest mishap!"

A very sobering example can be found at YouTube under "wingsuit fatality". It's 'documentary style', so it isn't too graphic - nor will I be here - but consider: flesh and bone meets concrete and steel bridge at 120 mph. Not good for the flesh and bone...

The interesting question surely is who had the courage to attempt it initially. If living in a mountainous and your friend gives you a flying visit he'll probably mean it.

So . . . did anyone else find it a little bit of an oxymoron that these guys wear helmets as they "fly" through the air ? Some how, I doubt the helmet would save their brains if they "flew" into the side of the mountain at 100 miles per hour. Sorry, it's a Mom type comment.

AWESOME!!!! Got a little too close to the face of the mountain and ground for me a few times, but these guys are truly adrenaline junkies!!
