I wonder if someone is crying "wolf" about some of this. I "Snoped" FDA and vitamins and the claim that the FDA has tacked onto a bill the mandate that we get Rx for herbs was claimed to be FALSE by Snopes. ????

Who is telling the truth or are scare tactics being used by both sides?

yes hello my prettys,

i dont want to be a negative nelly but i must speak the truth.here in ireland we had the supplements directive passed in 2005 which basically destroyed the vitamin buissness.examples of its destruction are fish oil capsules now being sold with sulphites in them instead of vitamin e.multi-vitamins cotaining gluconates and carbonates instead of citrates and chelates.you can only imagine the anger and frustration this caused.but weve learned to adapt.where theres awill theres a way.i was quite involved in the fight against this directive as where alot of people here in europe.alot of the criminal legislation was passed at night while the opposition politicians where in the land of zzzzzzzz's.i hope you guys take a serious look at how we were duped and not have it happen to you's.your dealing with with some very diturbing forces.you cant fight fire with fire.we must collectively visualise and feel the opposite of bad health(good health happy world)and we must expect to be sucsefull.

We here in the UK are also going through the problems you all are in the USA, due to the encroachment of the European Union (EU) into every sphere of our lives. Each country is now bound to OBEY the thousands of new laws constantly being enacted which flout our human rights to choose. The Human Rights laws are a joke. Big business, big money are the motivators of governments. Vitamins are also under dire threats and the EU has already decided on the elimination of vitamin companies, as in the US.

The comment on home schoolers and making up our own vitamins, etc., is well worth developing. In the 1920s various leading writers, including Chesterton, Belloc and others promoted 'Distributism' and books on this should be reading for all of us who care about our freedom and future. You can get reprints of these through various publishers in the US such as Ignatius Press, Tan Books and others. We should, where possible, set up small co-operatives in our communities to help each other, and share knowledge and know-how. I have recently told American friends of mine about Dr Mercola's website which is so very necessary to us all. It is the common man (and woman) who has the COMMON SENSE still alive, which money grabbers have lost.

Do not give up the fight against the big money of the pharmaceutical and food industries, despite setbacks. The medical community is constantly assaulting the chiropractic profession here in Wisconsin but our state association is very strong. Every time we are attacked our profession and patients inundate the legislature with our protests to unfair regulation proposals; and we are heard and usually win the battle. The war will never be over, until we give up. What would we do if Dr. Mercola gave up?!

I think this has gotten to the place where those who think this is still a sit back and let's write to our representatives situation---need to wake up and smell the pharmaceuticals. The government, per se--however you deem that to be--is corrupt--at basically all levels. They feed the people tid bits and though it is business as usual...but it is not. It is government--to govern--everyone--as usual. This codex and all the FDA and USDA rulings which keep us stirred up--are basically completely out of our control--because we are using an antiquated system to fight something that has moved way past what this country--and all countries involved with democracy--use to be. The North American Union--the joining of American, Mexico and Canada--is coming together with the super highway allowing Mexican truckers in to the US--with shipping containers from China--in order to expedite trade and get around customs in the US. Who got to vote on that? Who gets to say no to a national ID tag--radio chip next year? This is no longer what we grew up with--it has evolved into the globalist mentality--and there is only one way against it. It has already been said in these posts.

We need to realize that we have inalienable rights as citizens on this planet to live in peace and harmony---our voice and actions must be stronger than those who only wish to control and subjugate. Janice Joplin said freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose--well--that is despair talking--and if you buy into it and argue for your limitations--they become yours. There is only "ONE" thing I want to know, or for that matter, were we can find out " WHO it is; what Politician, Congressman or whomever, that is receiving monies from these Drug Companies so that we can ask the appropriate questions come next ellection, and make "Informed" descisions...........One mark on a piece of paper will tell them that not only that paycheck is gone, but.......... !!!

Who are they (the FDA) to say that they know what is best for us? Doesn't complimentry medicine mean that we can have the best of both worlds and be free to choose what works and what doesn't? What part of this do they not understand? I hope that we, the American people, become wise and stand up to defeat them before it is too late.

cGMPs are what many manufacturers in the industry want. Decent companies already have a similar system in place and will not be effected greatly. I am all for more strict regulation. It gives consumers more confidence in natural products.

We lost the battle when we allowed large corporations to contribute to the campaigns of elected officials. Everything is abolut money, power and gain. The laws that are passed protect the profits of those corporations and the public loses. If you want health freedom or any freedom you must work to seperate industry and government as we seperated church and government. Elected officials must be forced to finance their campaigns through taxpayer dollars. Government will work for the people who finance them. Right now they are working for the companies that financed their campaign, not the people who voted for them. We must become socially conscious and organize to take back the government. Putting a medical diagnoses on anything and everything they can, and pumping 'em full of chemicals, absolutely disempowers people.
