Here's another paradigm shift. Fascinating! Of course the genes would be interconnected. Everything in the universe is interconnected. Why should our genes be any different? Big Pharma and Mansanto are Dr. Frankensteins playing games with our lives. What they are doing is completely unethical and evil. Life is a miraculous mystery. They have no right to play childish games with it! They know not what they do!

Read the book "Seeds of Deception" by Jeffrey M. Smith. It's a great book to learn on how they "create" frankenfoods. A bit technical in parts, but easy to understand. :)

Is this really new information? As far as I can tell diseases that have genetic relationships but cannot be isolated by a single gene have for a long time been assumed to be the result of a complex interrelationship of multiple genes, memes and environmental factors.

While reading your responses, I am reminded of a quote that I have of my website: The superior man is watchful over himself, even when he is alone.

I think that Infidel and PPARGammaGirl might meet that criteria.

Let's look at God's handiwork. As I posted earlier, nature uses a lot of opposites (Nature's duality - Yin and Yang). I have noticed, using your computer analogy, that when there are opposites, one is the default. For instance, night and day. The default is absence of light - night.

Looking at "life" and "death" I am "presently thinking" that the default is life. That would explain cancer - primitave cells growing without direction or your example of cells living without DNA. This might explain why all life forms are "hardwired" to live and reproduce.

Your reply concerning race notes that dirrerent 'races' have key differences in enzyme systems...

One of my posts to you (July 12) talked about nature's design and its use of opposites. If you look at all races you will notice opposites. You will notice people of color and Caucasians. This implies that opposite paths were taken somewhere along our ancient history. So, the $64,000 question is why. I think that the answer has to do with how "toxins" - what Mother Nature gave plants as herbivore feeding deterrents ( I like to call them "thorns") are handled by different groups of people (races).

I see a difference in the way that the immune systems of Caucasians address these thorns as opposed to the way that Pima Indians, African Americans, and other "races" deal with these in the diet. Caucasians basically have learned to "avoid" or "ignore" them, whereas other "races" tend to "engage" or fight the thorns.

This avoidance of "thorns" didn't just happen and stop. It continues and leads to more and more autism.

I have read reports showing the folding of DNA has been known for 3 years or more, and a single gene sequence can now be seen to express many different proteins depending on the trigger factors, such as enzymes and proteins present in the cellular environment. The DNA folds into incredible patterns, inverting, inside out, little crane like structures, and every time new proteins can be expressed. What a surprise that the sequence has not found anything much of use, and a whole bunch of further research is now necessary! The Human Genome project "pre-agreed" to find only a percentage of the sequences so that researchers were then allowed to say a complete map was made, so scientific fraud was there from the start.

All part of the plot to convince us dummies that science "knows all" and that a quick buck can be made, to Hell with the consequences. GE is far too dangerous to be playing with, such as making atificial viruses for war, and putting things in our food that cannot EVER be guaranteed as safe because we do not know any of the variables, let alone all of them.

I am just glad to see this information printed in The New York Times. It does get a lot of exposure all over the US and beyond. Perhaps the article will spark some interest in invesigating some of the claims being made by companies involved in GMOs. The author, Denise Caruso, should be commended for her courage.
