For those of you who have been receiving my newsletter before this year you will know that there has been a huge improvement in the design. That was facilitated by Wendy Zaritsky who convinced me to switch from Front Page to Dreamweaver. Time has shown she was correct as nearly all the experts selected Dreamweaver as the top web authoring program. She mentored me through the use of Dreamweaver and is responsible for the logo and the file content structure. (This will all be changing by the end of the year though as my site undergoes another radical transformation to a database structure which I will announce in a future issue). Wendy is also the developer of the HEALL.com website.
I was quite shocked to find out when I emailed her recently about a question that she had been rushed into the intensive care unit to learn that she had a tumor that had put her into kidney failure. Wendy and I both share a strong aversion to the traditional medical paradigm but this was clearly a valid use of it as it saved her life. She recovered from the emergency but learned that she had a malignant tumor. I am reprinting her letter her along with her request to support her efforts to apply non-traditional care to facilitate her cancer therapy program. She is being seen by one of the better alternative cancer therapy programs and is using a variation of the Kelly program. Unfortunately she has no insurance benefits and only has enough funds for one month of care. I really struggled with putting this request out here as we are all bombarded with requests for worthy causes. There is not enough time and income to meet a partial fraction of them. WENDY'S LETTER My voice has been silent as I quiet myself to sort out the path to healing my life. I feel blessed by the opportunity to heal, and the outpouring of prayers, love, and assistance.
One month ago today, I went into the emergency room to awaken 5 days later to discover that I almost died of acute renal failure. An advanced cancerous cervical tumor has been pressing on my bladder causing the kidneys to fill with waste products that caused them to fail. I had a seizure within 20 minutes of arriving at the hospital. High tech medicine saved my life. I'm learning a great deal about my unconscious, wounded self. I feel lighter and more alive every day as I release these scripts that have held me in bondage all my life.
I need your help to raise funds for my complementary medicine treatment. There are 3 ways you can help:
1. Make an online donation with a credit card at http://www.cancersalves.com/SacredService.html
2. Send a check to the "Wendy Zaritsky Complementary Medicine Fund" at 1903 "O" St., Eureka, CA 95501
3. Sell and purchase tickets to the raffles for a chance to win one of 3 fabulous one week vacations. Send email to my sister: angelicinc@worldnet.att.net
I promise not to repeat this unless an exceptional need arises, but I feel Wendy has contributed to this community of readers by her major assistance in revising the format. My guess is that 99% of you can or will not respond to this request and that is fine. My request though is that those who have been blessed with surplus resources to prayerfully consider sharing some of them with Wendy so she can continue her goal of helping others. Wendy is one fine lady and has a lot of life left in her if she can get past this one. The subscriber base has increased by 75% since the changes were made. So the bulk of you will not know what the old site looked like. This is great, because as Jakob Nielsen (the major web usability guru) says nearly everyone's first site is a horrible disaster. The increase in the subscriber base has very little to do with Wendy as that happened after I implemented strategies I learned at a Jay Abraham conference.
