They found that overall, any antiplatelet therapy led to a one-third drop in heart attack risk, while the risk of non-fatal stroke fell by a quarter and cardiovascular death risk declined by one sixth.

Taking more than a baby aspirin a day for prevention of heart disease just doesn't make any sense anymore as this comprehensive review suggests.
However, I am not convinced that even taking low-dose aspirin is useful. A year and a half ago I changed my position on that and stopped recommending aspirin for the prevention of heart disease.
