Worst-case scenarios run the gamut from black holes and supervolcanoes to sudden climate change, asteroids, germ warfare and chemical weapons. While these types of end-the-world catastrophes were once confined to comics and science fiction movies, they are now making appearances in mainstream media outlets such as TV documentaries and newspapers.
Prominent scientists are behind many of the theories, some of which predict the end of humanity within the next 1,000 years, and include such notions as chain reactions accidentally deleting part of the universe. In discussing each option, whether man-made or part of Mother Nature, the author points out the improbability--and sometimes the likelihood--of each scenario actually wiping out human civilization.

While its certainly interesting to ponder these types of extreme scenarios, youre probably better off saving yourself the stress and focusing on something that plays a huge role in your daily life and that you have the power to immediately change: your health.
I suppose its possible that any one of these doomsday scenarios could potentially come true, but what is almost inevitable is that the typical American diet, full of sugar, grains and highly processed foods, will eventually cause a decline in your health.
But, the good news is that making some basic dietary changes will have a positive impact on your health. Generally, most people will benefit from cutting sugars and grains from their diet and replacing them with vegetable carbohydrates and healthy fats and protein.
