Four children died in Indian villages during a routine immunization drive. So far, a five-member inspection team has failed to ascertain the cause behind the death of the otherwise healthy children.
The team went to the vaccine cold-chain room of the community health center, and even opened the refrigerators, probably to check to see whether or not they were working.
According to The Times of India:
“The team quizzed the cold-chain in charge C. P. Yadav and auxiliary nursing midwife (ANM) Usha Verma for about two hours ... There were reports that the team cancelled its scheduled departure to Delhi on Sunday night and instead decided to stay back for further investigation.”
