Zinc supplements are promoted for preventing or easing cold symptoms, among other benefits. However, in men zinc builds up in the prostate gland, which plays a role in the production of semen.

This study provides further evidence that nutritional supplements need to be used with caution. If they are not used wisely they may actually increase the risk of disease. This is especially important when factoring in Metabolic Typing concerns.
Fortunately, there are many simple strategies that can be implemented to prevent and treat prostate cancer. One of the important ones is to screen for the disease with regular PSA tests.
If the PSA level is above two, it would be wise to aggressively implement the strategies below as it is likely the prostate gland is heading toward some type of cancer.
It is wise to not implement aggressive traditional medical strategies for this problem as prostate cancer is a relatively slow growing cancer and is easy to control if caught early.
