Sleeping Secrets Revealed by Undercover Professor

Your favorite sleeping position may reveal aspects of your personality, according to a study. A scientist found that six popular sleeping positions correlated with certain personality traits.

The "fetus position"--sleeping curled up on your side, holding the pillow--was the most popular way to sleep, encompassing 41 percent of the study participants. People who sleep in this position appear tough on the outside but tend to be shy and are "sensitive souls."

It’s quite interesting that your sleeping position may indicate your personality. But regardless of what position you choose to sleep in, make sure you are getting plenty of rest each night.

Sleep is an essential part of life, but one that is often pushed aside by the consuming tasks of daily life. If you feel that you are too busy to get a full night’s sleep, consider that sleep deprivation, both in the short- and long-term, causes serious adverse health effects.

Sleep should be a priority in your life as it plays a dramatic role in your overall health--much like proper nutrition and regular exercise. Without enough sleep, your body will be challenged to reach its optimal state of health.

Please bear in mind also that the timing of your sleep--for example from1 a.m. to 7 a.m. versus 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.--will affect its quality. The more hours that you can sleep before midnight and in synch with the sun, the better off you will be.

If you find yourself lying awake at night, unable to sleep, you may be one of the many people who have problems sleeping due to anxiety, stress or other emotional challenges. For these types of concerns, EFT works remarkably well and can help to induce peaceful slumber.
