9/11 Stress Can Lead to Infertility

New York women receiving fertility treatments during the September 11 attacks may have become infertile due the stress of the event.

Women who experience extreme stress are at an increased risk of miscarriage. These women were not only undergoing the stress of fertility treatments, but also had to endure the stress from the attacks. Experts say that some of the women may never be able to have children.

Dr. Mercola Dr. Mercola's Comments:

This is an interesting finding, as I have already seen two infants who were in-utero during the 9/11 stress and were born with serious complications that appear to be related to 9/11. It does not seem to be a far stretch that the stress was severe enough to disrupt fertility altogether in some women.

Emotions can play a major role in our own health as well as the health of a child in the womb. Dr. Bruce Lipton, a cellular biologist, has expanded frequently on how our emotions can serve as major regulators of genetic expression.

Although the damage from 9/11 has already been done, there are ways to cope with any lingering stress you may have from that event or any other stressful event in your life. Therapies like EFT can provide profound relief from all types of stressors.

For simpler problems self-administered EFT can be quite effective. For more complex problems, you will most likely want to work with a knowledgeable EFT practitioner. Dr. Patricia Carrington has some guidelines on selecting an EFT therapist, followed by a list of EFT practitioners throughout the United States and world.
