I have been reading Popular Science for nearly 40 years. I have to say that before you complain about your job, check out the list. Things could always be worse.

Of course, if you’re finding that your job is not enjoyable or causing you excessive amounts of stress, then you will want to address these negative emotions before they take a toll on your health. Among adults, job worries are often among the leading contributors to stress.

EFT, a psychological acupressure technique, can help you to channel your stress-related thoughts and leave you feeling calmer and more able to face your challenges. You can learn more about the EFT technique in my EFT Series on DVD or VHS.

Meditation is another technique that will allow you to calm your mind and fight stress. Meditating can help you to focus your thoughts on relaxing images or principles. It can also help you to examine your daily life and determine what activities are contributing to your stress. Adding deep, controlled breathing can heighten your relaxation. You may also want to consider the Insight audio CD to heighten your meditation experience. While EFT eliminates negative emotions that sabotage health and replaces them with positives, the Insight CD does a phenomenal job of enhancing and expanding emotional, mental and spiritual capabilities--and ultimately health.
