One of the mind/body energy systems that is working for us continually is called your meridian pathways. Our meridian energy flows are like energy arteries that run around and through our body.
They are energy highways and when they are blocked, heavy, or running too much energy for us, it effects our health in a negative way.
One of the primary energy meridians controls the flow of what we call our "fight and flight" energy.
With so much media attention on war and violence, our "fight and flight" energy is in overdrive. Some of the residual effects of too much "fight and flight" energy can be immune system problems such as chronic fatigue, irritability, depression, anger, and exhaustion.
The energy pathway that controls the "fight and flight" energy moves up and around each ear. To sedate and calm this energy, place your fingertips in front of each ear and, while pressing gently, smooth your fingers up and over the ears and off the back of your neck. Repeat this five to six times while taking some deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Three powerful statements to repeat as you use this technique are:
"I am calm and feeling better and better."
"I am letting the stress go."
"My immune system is working in balance."
