The Future of Food - - You NEED to Watch This Video !!!

Future of Food

Watch the Future of Food Now

This is an in-depth investigation into the disturbing truth behind the unlabeled, patented, genetically engineered foods that have quietly filled U.S. grocery store shelves for the past decade and examines the complex web of market and political forces that are changing what we eat as huge multinational corporations seek to control the world's food system

Without a doubt this is one of the best documentaries I have ever viewed. It will help you understand the very real threat that ALL future generations face as a result of genetic engineering

Your jaw will drop to the floor when you find out how Monsanto has manipulated the Supreme Court and how they are risking the very future of our civilization for their own corporate greed. Monsanto has succeeded in first patenting their own GMO seeds, and then slapping patents on a huge number of crop seeds, patenting life forms for the first time without a vote of the people or Congress. Thus letting new life forms loose on the land without long-term testing of the health effects and real government controls, especially labeling of foods.

The film questions why the U.S. government hasn't required GMO foods to undergo the rigorous testing required of medicines created by recombinant DNA technology, and why it has resisted efforts to require GMO labeling on foods, as Europe does. Suggesting an answer, the film ticks off all the government officials who have links to Monsanto, including Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Attorney General John Ashcroft.

Dr. MercolaDr. Mercola's Comments:
Terminator technology may be one of the greatest threats to humanity. If it is used by Monsanto on a large-scale basis, it will likely inevitably lead to famine and starvation on a worldwide basis.  Billions of people on the planet are supported by farmers who save seeds from the crops and replant these seeds the following year.

Seeds are planted. The crop is harvested. And the seeds from the harvest are replanted the following year. Most farmers cannot afford to buy new seeds every year, so collecting and replanting seeds is a crucial part of the agricultural cycle. This is the way food has been grown successfully for thousands of years.

What is most concerning is that the traits from genetically-engineered crops can get passed on to other crops. Once the terminator seeds are released into a region, the trait of seed sterility could be passed to other non-genetically-engineered crops making most or all of the seeds in the region sterile. If that is not bad enough consider this. Phytochemicals (free-radical and anti-oxidants) are substances that plants naturally produce to protect themselves against viruses, bacteria, and fungi and to are essential for the next generation of seeds. The plant creates phytochemicals as it comes to its peak ripeness on the vine.

The foods we eat today are already lacking in these essential elements due to the fact that the majority of our foods are picked before peak ripeness for transportations means. The reason it is recommended that we eat several servings of fruits and vegetables a day is because of the health providing benefits of these phytochemicals. If the terminator seed prevents the plant from germinating the vegetable or fruit itself will not contain any of these essential nutrients and our bodies and immune systems will be left open for attack from all viruses and bacteria. We will be defenseless as plants are our only way of getting these essential nutrients.

This is by far one of the most important videos your readers have ever been given!  Monsanto's terminator seeds threaten the future health of everyone as well as plants and animals. This is truly evil.  One of the ways that we can fight this is to only shop at stores that will not sell GMO foods.  The only two that I know of in my area are Whole Foods Market and Trader JOE's.  I have to travel 40 mins. to get there.  It is well worth the trip!  Whenever I purchase and consume "organic food" from other grocers I start to have flare ups of my former health conditions.  I am not quite sure why this is.  Could they be mixing their organic produce with other non-organic, possibly GMO food?

The food chain folks is totally corrupted by the GREED and PROFIT factor, with little, or no oversight, or real policing, despite official representations to the contrary, unless you kill a couple of dozen folks in a junk or fast food joint, in a pattern that can not be denied, or litigated with a gag order and sealing or records, out of court.

'The Future Of Food' IS this century's version of Upton Sinclair's expose 'The Jungle', which exposed the horrid conditions of the meat and poultry industry in America, at the turn of the 20th century.

After watching this important video, you will think more than twice about consuming ANYTHING remotely near genetic modification, for yourselves, your family, or your friends!!!

Remember, the European Union has already BANNED GMO, for good reason, it is unhealthy, NOT safe, and DEADLY!!!

So why is the FDA allowing GMO to move forward in the USA?...  Simple, as the line from Watergate suggested from the shadowy informer called Deep Throat: "follow the money".

Who is GMO fit for?  Osama bin Laden and Terrorists.

As a matter of fact, Monsanto and other GMO proponents have, or will, harm more humans with GMO, than 9-11 ever did.

Here is a chance, though be it a remote one, considering the media PR blitz pushing GMO in the USA, to help yourselves and your health, by not falling for a total con job from Big GMO pushers.

Just Say "NO!"...if you do not purchase GMO products, they will be unable to sell them.

Pressure your retailers (local markets, produces sellers, dairies, Supermarket and Big Box Store or specialty and natural health food chains) to have FULL disclosure if genetically modified...an economic response is the ONLY true counter-balancing force left to stop this incarnate EVIL.

Also read Greg Critser's 'Fat Land' that explains in detail how these MONSTERS pushing GMO think they can trick YOU by keeping the prices low...

Hi All,

As a Christian, I can't help thinking that we should trust in our Creator.   The concept that things were "not made well enough" and that we need to "improve things", may well prove a slippery path to destruction.

The reality is that things are fine in the first place.

Thanks,

Philip.

For anyone wanting to take action against Monsanto, the Organic Consumers Association started a campaign called Millions Against Monsanto.  See more here:

Coming from a country were farming is the main industry (Argentina),  I'd like to share a simple idea to EDUCATE our family, relatives and friends about this issue.

We visited different farms in the area, chose products from different farms based in the farming method used and source of their seeds, and ofcouse by the taste, organized a party at home and had people comparing salads, pies, etc made with those products vs. the ones from the supermarket....and that was more than enough to convince anyone.

Ofcouse there were people who argued about the cost...well...the answer is very simple...Is it cheaper to go to the doctor or to buy quality food from the local farmer?...

Happy Holidays!!

Wow!!!  What a great Christmas present this was.

THANKS Dr. Mercola for passing it on!

If each of us can get 10 friends and family to watch this video, maybe we can start a snowballing effect to spread the word on these very important issues of GMO foods and insane copyright laws that effectively allow patents for plants and animals.

Happy holidays!

This is horrible. How come noone is doing anything about this?  No wonder all of our kids are overweight. I had no idea this has gotten so out of control.

I agree with you in that it is hard to believe it has to be a viral video to make us aware.  The better question Foto is not "why doesnt someone do something" the better question is now that you are aware "what are you (we) doing about it"

Send this link to as many people as you know and ask them to send it to all their people.  The power is truly in the people.

The sad things is that this has been going on for a long time. I have been educating my clients for years about this and many other "control" mechanisms company's like this use. Between the goverment, western medicine, pharaceutical companies, the food industry, pesticide companies and I am sure there are more, they all scratch each others backs. It all boils down to filling each others pockets with money. The cycle of stupidity!

As humans, we think that we can do anything, to anyone, at anytime. The sad thing is the science thinks that it can toy with human and universal genes, but in the end disasters are inevitable. You are seeing it for yourself in our society today. Farmers are loosing their land, animals are becoming extinct, vegetables are becoming extinct, people are getting sicker and sicker, and in the mean time the goverment and all its piggy backers are raking it in.

We can't change the world, but we can be the change that we wish to see in the world. As Lao Tzu said, mastering others requires force and to master self requires strength. People are more apt in our society to play follow the leader. So the more healthy you are, the more likely friends and family will follow along and start asking questions.

We do have a choice, that choice is alt healthcare, prevention of illness through organic foods and so on.

My thoughts are...

As the vidoe said, GMO foods will not reduce world hunger and they absolutely do not benefit us in any way.  The only thing our government wants to reduce is world population. People probably already get sick and get diseases because of the altered food.

I agree..LEAVE OUR GENES ALONE!!!

It certainly is alarming every time I read information or watch a video that educates the reader/viewer on the reality of the evils being perpetrated on the masses by the economic elites in the world. .... I have to admit however that this video also made me feel encouraged when it addressed the fact that there is a growing demand amongst the general public for natural and unadulterated food.

This along with the fact that the demand for 'natural medicine', is also growing each year, as more and more of the public awakens to the reality of the futility of the pharmaceutical model of medicine, .. does give me hope for the future. As Dr. Mercola has expressed, the power of the internet is that it is providing access to truthful and 'un-propagandised' information. ... Let's just make sure that the elites  don't gain control of the internet too.

What needs to be kept in mind here is a simple question without a simple & clear answer.  What is the root cause of this problematic situation?  How does a corporation gain such power?  The answer is simple but not clear to a majority of the population.  Government, by granting patents for living plants, has given monopoly power to a corporation that would not be able to attain such power on it's own.  This is a prime example of big government failing to protect citizens property rights and actually being complicit in destroying those natural rights.

This is by far one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. It has thoroughly revealed the truth of the food industry and how ordinary supermarket foods are no longer natural and pure (as they once were) but are rather sadly the byproducts of capitalism and corruption. I cannot believe that genetically modified foods are still being allowed in the U.S., that they are generally accepted as "safe" by the FDA, and that they do not even require labeling.

The amount of evidence that we have compiled about genetically modified foods and its potential to be harmful for human consumption is obviously inadequate. But apparently greed, power, corruption, and the love for money outweighs human rights. Gratifying oneself outweights doing what's right for others and, ironically, what's right for oneself. But what I don't understand is why these people are not considering their family-- their children, grandchildren, and their future children-- who are being and who will be affected. The greed must therefore be incomprehensibly strong.

Who calls this a democracy? I don't.

Patenting seeds, genes, and other products of nature is completely appalling to me. No human has the right to patent a part of nature, no matter what. We all share this earth and what nature has given us. We cannot "own" a product of nature and prohibit others from using that product. These are the natural resources that we are all equally entitled to.

This video was disturbing but also enlightening. I hope that something will be done about this.

Outstanding video.  Having just read Seeds of Deception by Jeffery M. Smith, I had a background of what's being done to our food chain.  This video just reinforced it and really got to the core of the inhumanity being forced on us by Monsanto and of course our crooked government.
As it stands right now, my family pretty much thinks I'm insane and call me a health nut or freak because of my recent change of lifestyle towards healthy, organic foods.  They just don't understand what organic means.  They think it's a new kind of food that I'm eating and serving my children.  They don't understand that it's the ancient, pure foods that our anscestors ate before the advent of modern farming technology, which really is an oximoron-farming & technology should never be in a sentence together.  Maybe, just maybe if they let down their guard and watch this video, they will finally understand what I'm trying to get accross to them.  It's become more than just a health issue-it goes way beyond that.  If we don't stand up for demanding the purest food supply, the "giants" will take over our food and possibly destroy all of it with their terminator seeds!

Everyone should urge all of their family and friends to watch this and hopefully they will understand how deep these waters run.  It's about control and money!

This really made me sick to my stomach.  To think that our culture has enabled this type of blind greed is disheartening, not to mention that we put our trust in elected officials who obviously have no intention of serving the citizenry. Rather they support the corporations who take them to lunch periodically.    I'm joining the local co-op today.

The producers of this video are to be complemented on the quality information presented. I commend those who have spoken out at the risk of reprisal. One additional piece of information not highlighted is the horrendous degradation that occurs to the soil via the use of artificial fertilizers, chemicals and GM crops. Also one of the most dangerous GMO bacteria (Klebsiella planticola) was prevented from release by invaluable work carried out by Dr Elaine Ingham. This work by Dr. Elaine Ingham was carried out at Oregon State University on a soil bacteria Klebsiella planticola. The USDA approved this bacterium for release into the environment. This bacterium was genetically modified to convert organic matter into alcohol. It was to be used to convert municipal and industrial organic waste into alcohol for fuel and the remaining "hash" would be used as an organic fertilizer. In theory it sounded great. However what Dr. Ingham discovered was that when this bacteria was added to soil in green house planters it rapidly did its job converting all organic material to alcohol. This of course included plant roots thus killing the plants. These bacteria if released into the environment could totally wipe out ALL terrestrial plants including all crops and forests, converting them all to alcohol. So happy was the USDA about Dr. Ingham's research findings that they sanctioned her from ever having another research contract with USDA. Additionally, contributing factors to the decline of many rural communities is because of the “modern farming practice” of using high cost inputs. These include artificial fertilizers, chemicals (herbicide, pesticide and fungicide) all of which have detrimental impacts on soil health and sustainability, plant and animal health and human health. Additionally, very few of the dollars spent on these inputs stay within the community. Therefore the community is starved on the vine by the parasitic greed of the multinational companies whose primary motivation is dollar driven without ethics.
