In general, the same factor that causes you to have increased weight, cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure problems is the same one that causes your uric acid level to increase. That factor, of course, is increased insulin resistance.
The best way to control your uric acid levels is quite simple: drastically decrease foods that cause your pancreas to make insulin by reducing, with the plan of eliminating, your intake of grains and sugars as much as possible. Exercising is also another powerful way to reduce your insulin level.
