Today, I‘ll show you how to make a chili & garlic infused olive oil. It‘s very delicious and quite easy to make as well.
INGREDIENTS:
½ of a green chili pepper, diced fine (If you want it a bit hotter, leave the seeds in. For more flavor than heat, however, just use the pepper without the seeds).
½ of a whole bulb of garlic (roughly 7 cloves), peeled, left whole
½ to ¾ cup organic, extra-virgin olive oil
PREPARATION:
Pour olive oil into heavy-based pan. (Pan in video is from Mercola.com. A fantastic pan, so, if you get a chance to look at them, by all means, do).
Add garlic and chili pepper to oil in pan.
Stir, and leave on a very gentle heat, (so as not to destroy any nutrients) for about 6-7 minutes, stirring several times, until garlic is just slightly browned. Soon, you‘ll notice a marvelous aroma in your kitchen!
Allow oil to cool down.
Strain oil through cheesecloth into small jar, finally, squeezing cloth to release all oil.
Cover top with lid or aluminum foil. You may use an olive oil decanter as well.
Refrigerate. This keeps for several weeks.
